  • mysql date format with changing string value

    I have a field called Timestamp, that stores its values as text as opposed to an actual Timestamp. The logging application is unchangeable, unfortunately. So table.Timestamp -> text field with format -> "Wed Mar 02 13:28:59 CDT 2011" I have been developing a query to purge all but the most recent row using this as my Timestamp selector, which is also converting the string into a date - MAX( STR_To_DATE( table.Timestamp , '%a %b %d %H:%i:%s CDT %Y' ) My query works perfectly... However, what I've found is that the string value - 'CDT' - changes between 'CDT' and 'CST' depending on whether the current time is daylight savings time or not. During daylight savings time, it logs as 'CDT', and vice versa. So all the rows that contain 'CST' get ignored when I run this - MAX( STR_To_DATE( table.Timestamp , '%a %b %d %H:%i:%s CDT %Y' ) and all the rows that contain 'CDT' get ignored when I run this - MAX( STR_To_DATE( table.Timestamp , '%a %b %d %H:%i:%s CST %Y' ) Is there a way to make it run against both string formats?

  • Fortran - String with unknown characters into substrings

    I am trying to put an input string into sub-string arrays. The number of data in the input file are less than 10 but unknown. The number of spaces between each data is also unclear. Example: Asd B Cwqe21 Ddsw Eww I am quite novice to Fortran, so I do not know which format I should use. My problem is that I do not know the number of data (here I assumed that there are 5), so how can I make the code work? I tried the following which did not work: CHARACTER (LEN=100), DIMENSION(10) :: string READ (1,*) (string,I=1,10) It seems that the error I got was because there was no 6th string to read and put into string(6). I tried using the "Index" to find the space, but since I do not know how many spaces are in the string, it did not help me.

    Hi, I have a C structure that allow users to configure options in an embedded system. Currently the GUI we use for this is custom written for every different version of this configuration structure. What I'd like for is to be able to describe the structure members in some format that can be read by the client configuration application, making it universal across all of our systems. I've experimented with describing the structure in XML and having the client read the file; this works in most cases except those where some of the fields have inter-dependencies. So the format that I use needs to have a way to specify these; for instance, member A must always be less than or equal to half of member B. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.

The string will hold html tags too though.     I want to enter string " -< " in strings.xml file, the string has character < and I couldn't add it to xml file without error! I even tried to escaping by \ character: <string name="search_target_arrow"> -\< </string> or enclosing it between "" as below: <string name="search_target_arrow">" -< "</string> but none worked. Maybe I'm very amateur at this and the answer is not hard for you. so please tell me how you add such special chars in strings.xml?

    I have a counter that counts up every 1 second and add 1 to an int. Question How can I format my string so the counter would look like this: 00:01:23 Instead of: 123 Things I've tried Things I've tried so far: for (int i = 0; i < 1; i++) { _Counter += 1; labelUpTime.Text = _Counter.ToString(); } My timer's interval is set to: 1000 (so it adds 1 every second).   • PHP strtotime() setting date to default

    I have a script which is reading values from an excel sheet and inserting them into an sql table. My problem is when the script reads in some of the date fields it is setting them to a default value : 1970-01-01 01:00:00 I have noticed that this is happening when it comes across a date where the 'day' is greater than 12 : 13/05/2012 18:52:33 (dd-mm-yyyy hh-mm-ss) I thought this may be due to the script thinking that this is the month field (i.e american format) and it sees it as an invalid value, so I set the default timezone to my own hoping it may resolve the problem but it made no difference. date_default_timezone_set('Europe/Dublin'); Here is an example of what my code is doing: Excel field value : 01/05/2012 18:32:45 Script: $start_time = $data->val($x,5); echo $start_time = date("Y-m-d H:i:s", strtotime($start_time)); Output: 2012-01-05 18:32:45 This is the exact format I am looking for (except for the fact that the day and month fields are switched around i.e american date format) but it doesnt work for the type of dates I mentioned above.

    I'm seeing strange results when doing a string.Format( "C" ); E.g. double val = 123456.78; Console.WriteLine( val.ToString( "C" ) ); This prints the thousand separator as 0xa0 rather than a comma (0x2c). I get the same result if I use string.Format( "{0:0,0.00}", 1234567.12D ); Here is the full output R 123ÿ456,78 52333A333233 201230456C78 My regional settings are English (South African) and I'm getting the same result on multiple machines. Any ideas? Thanks.

    i need a dropdownlist to show current month and year (January 2010) till January 2011, and an additional record of January 2011 +.   • Only strip commas surrounded by numbers in a string

    I am using StreamReader to read each line of a CSV file into a string. As I am processing each line, I need to strip out any commas that ONLY are surrounded by other numbers. For example, if the string was: "textfield1", "textfield2", "100.00", "1,070.00" I would need to only take the comma out of "1,070.00" from this entire string, resulting in: "textfield1", "textfield2", "100.00", "1070.00" Each string read from the CSV file can differ in number of fields, length, etc., so I need to use something (Regular Expressions maybe?) that looks at the entire string without hardcoding a location or blanket removal of all commas. Here is the approach I have been trying: StreamReader sr = new StreamReader(strInputFile); string nextLine = sr.ReadLine(); try { while ((nextLine = sr.ReadLine()) != null) { string rawtext = nextLine.Replace("[0-9]"+","+"[0-9]" , "[0-9]"+"[0-9]"); // ....rest of code } } This obviously doesn't work because I don't understand how to do this :) I am new at C# and inexperienced in Regex, so hopefully this is relatively simple.

  • Error when selecting content from ADDTIME(CURTIME(), '14400 hour') format

    So apparently i've stumbled upon a coding error when trying to select the time from my database. SELECT * FROM `videos` WHERE `added_time` > AddTime( CurTime(), '14400 hour' ) is the code, i'm trying to select all the videos posted 10 days (14400 hours) ago using the "added_time" format, because it worked for my previous coding but in this one it work work. Shown below is a link to the image showing how my database structure for videos are shown. http://i.imm.io/NURT.png Edit: Previously i had this problem for retrieving and deleting bulletins posted 10 days ago, and this code worked, however this code apparently won't work when trying to retrieve the videos :/ I don't know why, they're using the same format.     hey guys, this might seem like a no brainer but hopefully after i explain my problem you might understand why i am asking this. is it possible to have a method which creates a method and its arguements? the problem: in my current project i have to many times call different sql statements which arent all that different. for example i have one where i inserts some new rows but only has 2 columns and another which also inserts new rows but has 12 columns. i have created a class called utils.cs and in there i have sorted many "handy" methods, such as validation methods which check for numeric input to text boxes etc. so i thought well instead of having sql writing methods everywhere ill make one in there and call it when i need to so i have but it currently looks like this: public static string getInsertSQL(string tablename, string colOne, string colTwo, string colThree, string colFour, string colFive, string colSix, string colSeven, string colEight, string colNine, string colTen, string colEleven, string colTwelve,bool active, string valueOne, string valueTwo, string valueThree, string valueFour, string valueFive, string valueSix, string valueSeven, string valueEight, string valueNine, string valueTen, string valueEleven) { string strSQL = ""; strSQL += "INSERT INTO " + tablename; strSQL += "(" + colOne + " " + colTwo + " " + colThree + " " + colFour + " " + colFive + " " + colSix + " " + colSeven + " " + colEight + " " + colNine + " " + colTen + " " + colEleven + " " + colTwelve + " )"; strSQL += " values ("+active+", " + valueOne + " " + valueTwo + " " + valueThree + " " + valueFour + " " + valueFive + " " + valueSix + " " + valueSeven + " " + valueEight + " " + valueNine + " " + valueTen + " " + valueEleven + " )"; return strSQL; } as you can see thats quite a mess so i wondered if it was at all possible to write a method which would take an arguement of how many colums needed to be inserted and then could create a method with that many arguements. i hope you can see what i am getting at and dont just sound like a plep! thanks in advance

  • Coherence - How to develop a custom push replication publisher

This example can be easily changed to publish data to other receivers (JMS,...) by performing changes to step 2 and small changes to step 3, steps that are presented bellow. I've used Eclipse as the development tool. To develop a custom push replication publishers we will need to go through 6 steps: Step 1: Create a custom publisher scheme class Step 2: Create a custom publisher class that should define what the publisher is doing. Step 3: Create a class data is performing the actions (publish to JMS, DB, etc ) for the custom publisher. Step 4: Register the new publisher against a ContentHandler. Step 5: Add the new custom publisher in the cache configuration file. Step 6: Add the custom publisher scheme class to the POF configuration file. All these steps are detailed bellow. The coherence project is attached and conclusions are presented at the end. Step 1: In the Coherence Eclipse project create a class called CustomPublisherScheme that should implement com.oracle.coherence.patterns.pushreplication.publishers.AbstractPublisherScheme. In this class define the elements of the custom-publisher-scheme element.     I have a list of digits, say "123456", and I need to map it to a string, any string. The only constraint on the map functions are: each list of digits must map to a unique character string (this means the string can be arbitrarily long) character string can only contain 0-9, a-z, A-Z What map function would produce the shortest strings? Solutions in JavaScript are preferred. note: Clearly the simplest solution is to use the original list of digits, so make sure you solution does better than that.
