  • Cannot open a .tif with color using .Net Image or Bitmap classes

    I am attempting to open .tif files that have color in them (300 dpi, PixelFormat.Format24bppRgb) using the .Net Image and Bitmap classes. I always get an "invalid parameter" error when the tiffs have color (works fine for black and white tiffs). If anyone has source code on how to open a .tif with color in it I'd deeply appreciate it.     I am mounting a network drive to windows using WNetAddConnection2 which is working fine but while mounting the drive by default it assigns the name as Server IP and FolderName , NDSTestFolder on 'NAS server (172.24.17.116)'(R:) I need to rename the drive label using SetVolumeLabel but this fails for the network drive saying invalid parameter while SetVolumeLabel works fine for the local drives. Is there a way I can rename or relabel a network drive? So that I can change NDSTestFolder on 'NAS server (172.24.17.116)'(R:) to NDS@MyFolder (R:)

    Hi, I am evaluating Microstrategy 9.0.1 and attempting to build a prototype metadata layer using its Architect tool. The tool doesn't seem to have any specific means to mark up joins in the way that the editing tools for SSRS data source views or Business Objects universes do. How does this work in Microstrategy - I have never used this before and may be making invalid assumptions based on other systems I have seen. If one does do this with MicroStrategy, how is it done?

  • Java: Is there a way to efficiently insert or remove many elements from the middle of a LinkedList?

    I was expecting to find this in Java's LinkedList, since the point of linked lists is to be able to efficiently insert (and remove) anywhere (assuming you have some kind of pointer to the location where you want to insert or remove). I'm not finding anything in the API though. Am I overlooking something? The closest thing I can find to this are the add and remove method in ListIterator. This has some limitations though. In particular, other iterators become invalid as soon as the underlying LinkedList is modified via remove, according to the API. This is born out in my tests as well; the following program results in a IllegalStateException: import java.util.*; public class RemoveFromLinkedList { public static void main(String[] args) { LinkedList<Integer> myList= new LinkedList<Integer>(); for (int i = 0; i < 10; ++i) { myList.add(i); } ListIterator<Integer> i1 = myList.listIterator(); ListIterator<Integer> i2 = myList.listIterator(); for (int i = 0; i < 3; ++i) { i1.next(); i2.next(); } System.out.println("i1.next() should be 3: " + i1.next()); i1.remove(); i1.remove(); // Exception! C++ has something like this for its list class (template). Only iterators pointing to moved elements become invalidated, not ALL iterators.

    Hi, I am consuming one webservice, while consuming there can different types expception might occur depeninding on various situation like.. network failur, invalid soap data or exception from serverside also might occur. How can I differntiate between these different excpetion? Because in my application, with these exceptions I need to update the various status Like: if network failure occurs Status will be "unable to connect webservice" so I can try after sometime later. If exception comes from Web server , no need to call/try again. Thanks nRk

    Hi there, I'm creating a set of input fields and using javascript's .style.backgroundColor = "red" to change the colour of any invalid fields. In Chrome, there is no problem. However, in Firefox, as soon as I touch the backgroundColor (even if I set it to white) then I get these strange shadow effects.
