  I have created an avmutablecomposition and tried to use insertEmptyTimeRange to generate 1 minute of silence. This doesn't appear to be working. I have also tried creating an avmutablecompositiontrack using addMutableTrackWithMediaType:preferredTrackID: and then insertEmptyTimeRange on the track and still no success. To give some background on my app, I allow users to add audio samples a timeline and then playback or export and this is working really well using the av classes. The problem is that I need to make sure that the audio is exactly 1 min (for example). Regardless of the info about my specific app above, is it possible to insert an empty time range into a comp or comptrack?

  How can i efficiently display the status of a file when using a background thread? • How do I determine the dimensions of a .NET listview at runtime?

  I have a form with a split container and each panel has a list view and some buttons. I wanted to make sure that the header and at least two rows are visible in a listview. I originally determined the values for panel1MinSize & panel2MinSize by fine tuning the values visually (on my XP development machine). This approach was fine until I tested my app on Windows Vista - the basic dimensions of the listview are different and the listview is too small. To overcome this I believe I need to determine the listview dimensions at runtime and do some maths to set the panel min size but I can't see how to do this. Is this the right approach or is there an easier way?

  Hello, we have a vb.net application with send and receive mailing also. Now we have added a session timer of 30 min but the users are complaining that they are facing a problem when they write a long text message or while composing they get busy in something else and when they return back to continue composing message , they are redirected to a session expiry page, and their long text message is gone forever. So I am new to this and I was thinking like , when the user is in compose message the text should be automatically saved to drafts like hotmail. Any help will be appreciated . Thank you.

• html5media & flowplayer wmode issues...

  I'm working on our new homepage and need to implement a solution that will run a video across iphone/ipad and the standard web browsers. I found a pretty decent solution with html5media - http://code.google.com/p/html5media/ but ran across an issue with a jquery dropdown falling behind the the swf object (this only happens on FF & IE - works fine on Safari & Chrome because it's loading mp4 instead of a swf object). I know the issue is the wmode setting but can not for the life of me figure out where to set it in the html5media (http://html5media.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/src/html5media.min.js). I'm hoping someone can help me or possibly give me a better solution of implementing the video.   I'm using the Generics Collection library C5 (server down :-( ) and I have an IntervalHeap(T) and I need to Delete or Replace a T that is not the Max or Min. How do I get an IPriorityQueueHandle from my T? The C5 library source code shows that IPriorityQueueHandle(T) has no methods or properties to implement and the compiler thinks my implementation of IPriorityQueueHandle(T) for my T is acceptable. I try to use a T like this: q.Replace(t, t); and the C5 library throws an InvalidCastException because it cannot convert my T to a (Handle).

• How to get WordPress Twenty Ten theme sub-menus to expand to their contents (CSS)?

  Hope this isn't "too" niche, because the CSS involved likely applies in other spots. I'm working with the new Twenty Ten theme in WordPress 3 beta/nightlies, and I'd really like it if the drop-down sub-menus (Pages/custom menus) would expand to the width of whatever is in them, rather than wrap the items at 130px. Here's an example page set up that contains nothing but the relevant HTML and the Twenty Ten theme CSS file: http://almostexciting.com/wordpress-twentyten-menu.html I've tried changing the "width" for the link items to a "min-width", which doesn't work - nor does completely removing it. I can't seem to locate any other styles that are constricting the width of the menu items, so I'm a bit desperate for help. Been tearing this thing up in Firebug for too long now.

  I need to run a Select statement (DB2 SQL) that does not pull adjacent row duplicates based on a certain field. In specific, I am trying to find out when data changes, which is made difficult because it might change back to its original value. That is to say, I have a table that vaguely resembles: A, 5, Jan A, 12, Feb A, 12, Mar A, 12, Apr A, 9, May A, 9, Jun A, 5, Jul And I want to get the results: A, 5, Jan A, 12, Feb A, 9, May A, 5, Jul discarding adjacent duplicates but keeping the last row. The obvious: Select Letter, Number, Min(Month) from Table group by Letter, Number does not work -- it doesn't include the last row.

• Static footer, with attached and scaling overlap

  I have been asked by a client to create a site where the content area overlaps the footer. However they also want the footer to be attached to the bottom of the viewport, which I've done, but it seems that I can't find a good way to vertically stretch the content to maintain the overlap should the browser be resized. I've created a diagram to help explain, http://www.squaresphere.co.uk/images/footer-diagram.png So ideally I need a way of calculating the height of the content and stretching the content div if content_length viewport.height, but keep a min-height if content_length < viewport.height A solution using html+css would be fantastic, but I'm starting to think that I'm going to have to do some funky jQuery onviewportresize or something Any suggestions would be awesome, thanks!

Home is always unique to the person. But my DBMS doesn't know that. Is there an easy way around this problem? Appreciate it.
