• Flex & XML in IE-- Parse Me, Baby!

  Hi I've got a Flex 3 project. I'm having a problem with XML in Internet Explorer only. Pls see the problem lines below: _clickURL = [email protected](); _mediaSource = [email protected](); These variables are coming up "" in IE. But, they grab the data in Safari and Firefox.   I have made an ActiveX control and have made its .cab file for automatic installation on client machine using Internet Explorer.. It working fine of Windows XP, but on windows Vista and Windows 7 its installation is blocked by UAC (User account control), and when I disable it, all things works fine... I have signed my .cab file with a certificate for development enviornment... What is the way to over come this problem.. I don't want to tell users to disable their UAC module...

  Hi All I have a one problem, I have one background image having 1000px height. which i used in body of css having fixed height but on some pages my content height goes incresed more than background image its not look good, so i searched on google and i got a way to solve this issue, then iused a height in body tag, and then i used a slice of bg-below of width="960px" which i used in html tag it works fine in all browser except Internet explorer plese tell me what to do how can i resolve this problem.   Hello. I'm getting some weird black spots with a custom map page (via the Google Maps API v2.x) I have created. (Click SERVICIOS and then the icon farthest south to generate image shown below.) The problem is that when you hold the mouse button down (i.e. dragging from widows explorer), my app does not fire any of the form events. They all work fine if the mouse is not down.   Does anybody know a tool, preferably for the Explorer context menu, to recursively change the encoding of files in a project from / to UTF-8 and other encodings? Freeware or not too expensive would be great.   I want to style the :active state of a button that is represented by an . The tag has an inner (beacuse I want to add an icon to this button). I notice the :active state is triggered properly in everything but Internet Explorer. In IE, it appears that the area around the (the 's padding) triggers that :active state, but when clicking directly on the text within the , the :active state is not triggered. Is there a way to fix this without resorting to Javascript?

  I just tried the IE9 "Second Internet Explorer Platform Preview" - which supports CSS opacity now. That's nice, but I tried it with one of my website prototypes, and it's quite slow when scrolling etc. Admittedly, the prototype uses hundreds of images with opacity != 1, but everything is snappy with current versions of Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera. Does anybody know, if there are plans for IE9 to become faster in this area? Even rumours about this would be interesting in this case.

• Apache + mod_wsgi + django - large uploads timeout on IE but not on FF

  I'm running Apache, mod_wsgi and Django. Uploading a file over 100mb causes a timeout on IE 7 and 8, but successfully uploaded on Firefox 3.5. Specifically the error is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". The timeout is not immediate, it runs for quite some time before it fails. Any suggestions? UPDATE: I set TimeOut to 1200 and it made no difference

  I have installed Xilinx 14.7 in ubuntu 14.04 LTS machine(i386 - 64bit). But I am unable to run lmgrd (for starting the license server). When I googled this problem, I found that lsb-core package needs to be installed. But the package is having many dependencies, I want to know how to install lsb-core package with all the necessary dependencies. • How do I print unprintable web pages?

  I want to print out a web page that seems to be unprintable in both Firefox and Chrome. It is multiple pages but when I print it out in Firefox and Chrome, they only print the first page. The only way I have found to print out the page is to print it in IE in XPS Document Writer format. Is there a tool (e.g., web browser or web browser plugin) that will help? Or is there a setting I can use in Firefox or Chrome?
