    Hi everyone, Quick question, how can I make this valid : if($this->datos->bathrooms == "1½"){$select1 = JText::_( 'selected="selected"' );} The ½ doesn't seem to be recognized. I tried to write it as &#189; but then it looks for &#189; literally, and not the ½ sign. Any ideas?

I have the following: NSPersistentStoreCoordinator NSManagedObjectContext NSManagedObjectModel Is it possible to run queries directly on the store (since its a sqlite DB)?     I have to write 300+ files to a server share on a hourly basis. A quick implementation using CreateText takes approximately 1.4 seconds per file. I know there is a better way to do this, but I am unsure which way is actually the quickest/most efficient; hence my question: Which text writing class is the most efficient for writing hundreds of small files ( 336 bytes on average ) to a server share?

The problem is the client does not have have a Facebook page, but instead has a Facebook Group (with some 4000+ members). I guess I could urge the client to move their group members to a page, and I might do that in the future.     Quick and simple question. There are examples online about achieving in-memory gzip compression with zlib (C++) WITHOUT external libraries (like boost or such)? I just need to compress and decompress a block of data without much options. Different sources appear to say different things and trhe venerable php.net iteslf (appears) not to explicitly state this - although I must admit, I only had a quick look. In cases where I am passing around 'heavy' objects, I need to pass by reference, but I dont want to keep typing: function foo(TypeName& $obj) if I can get away with simply, function foo(TypeName $obj) So what does the standard say?
