(http://www.odata.org) Reading through their description within the FAQ on what OData is, I am having a hard time distinguishing OData from REST-ful web services.     Hi, I'm trying to call a web service with WSE 3.0 which uses cookies for authentication. With standard SoapHttpClientProtocol, I could assign my CookieContainer to a request. However, WSE 3.0 web services does not directly or indirectly inherit from it. How can I set cookies to WSE 3.0 request?

  • What is your experience with Nitrogen on Erlang?

    I've been checking out the Nitrogen Project which is supposed to be the most mature web development framework for Erlang. Erlang, as a language, is extremely impressive. However, with regards to Nitrogen, what I am not too keen about is using Erlang's rather uncommon syntax (unless you're native in PROLOG) to build UIs. What is your experience with it as opposed to other mainstream web frameworks such as Django or Rails?

    Hi, I've got 3 connectionstrings in web.config, and I used theirs like this: using (SqlConnection connection = new SqlConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["SomeName"].ConnectionString)) Every metgod is called by winforms application. One of webmethods doesn't work properly because it reads only one connectionString: data source=.\\SQLEXPRESS;Integrated Security=SSPI;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|aspnetdb.mdf;User Instance=true It's not a connectionString from my web.config . I invoke every method in the same way. How it's impossible ??

I agree that there will be MANY MANY criteria on which this information can be sliced and diced by, but has anyone done any real comparison of this?     i wonder if HTML5 Web Storage will be cleared when browser clears its cache? if it did, many ppl like me may lose data if i accidentally clear cache? or like in this comment ... Since HTML5 local storage is kept separate from js cookies (like Silverlight, Gears, Flash), it opens up a world of 3rd party privacy issues for HTML5 as these objects will likely NOT get deleted with a clear cache or delete temporary data ... where web storage is not cleared, but leads to privacy issues?
