  • iPhone Apache server and PHP

    hi, i tried to install apache and php on my iphone(i actually did it), i've installed apr,apr-util and Apache BossPrefs Switch from Rock than i tried to acces the server(127.0.0.1 from safari) but i get en error(server couldn't be found). When i'm trying to switch on Apache in BossPrefs it looks like is on but still doesn't work and when i come back to BossPrefs Apache looks like is turned off. What am i doing wrong? is there another thing that i should install? thanks

CSS 3D transforms, which are supported in Safari sine 2009 and on the iPhone since version 2.0, is not supported well on the Android. worse then that, the implementation is buggy on Android 2.1 and Android 2.2, and in each version in a different way. Any idea how can I build a coverflow UI on an Android web application using HTML,CSS, JavaScript and some images without CSS 3D transforms?

  • Drawing performance with CGImageCreateWithJPEGDataProvider?

    I've actually curious about this for the iPhone. I am getting an MJPEG stream from a server and trying to render it natively on the iphone (without the use of safari class). Reasons for this is because the safari class while CAN render MJPEG natively, does not do so at the framerate I would like. So I tried drawing it natively, but I've come up with performance issues, namely a syncing issue between what I'm getting from the server and what I am able to draw onto the screen of the phone. (There should be a little lag, but the drift gets really bad, which is what I want to avoid). So I have a connection set up to my server and I do get the JPEGS. My buffer of jpeg data actually fills up quite quick, but I can't seem to actually consume what i'm getting at the same rate, actually much slower. Are there any documents that can describe what kind of performance tuning I can do to make it go faster when rendering the JPEG to the screen? Or am I kind of stuck here? Thanks!

  • Spawn a multi-threaded Java program from a Windows command line program, spawner won't end until spa

    Short version: How can I prevent a spawned Java process in Windows from blocking the spawning process from ending? Long version: I'm trying to spawn a multi-threaded Java program (Selenium RC, not that it should matter) from a program launched from the Windows command line (NAnt's <exec> task, again, not that it should matter). I'm doing it using the Windows "start" command, and the spawned process is started and runs correctly. The spawning process receives control back and finishes (NAnt says "BUILD SUCCEEDED"), but doesn't actually exit to the command line. When the spawned process finally terminates (could be hours later), the command process returns and the command line prompt occurs.     I am drawing on a canvas with the following line: ctx.drawImage(compositeImage, 0, 0, image.width, image.height, i, j, scaledCompositeImageWidth, scaledCompositeImageHeight); This code has executed error free on Safari, Chrome, Firefox (and even IE using google's excanvas library). However, a recent update to Chrome now throws the following error: Uncaught Error: INDEX_SIZE_ERR: DOM Exception 1 This code often positions part or all of the drawn image OFF the canvas, anyone got any idea what's going on here?

  • Question about PE/COFF file formats - ECOFF, ANON, and BIGOBJ

    Hi, I've peen looking at the PE/COFF format and it seems to be missing a few things about extensions to the format. Specifically, I'm trying to learn about ECOFF and ANON objects. from what I can tell, those're just two names for the same thing, which is also known as a BIGOBJ. The BIGOBJ allows you to create, surprise surprise, larger object files than the format otherwise allows. Can anyone confirm or correct this? Thanks

  • windows.location.href not working on Firefox3

    We have a javascript funtion named "move" which does just "windows.location.href = any given anchor". This function works on IE, Opera and Safari, but somehow is ignored in Firefox. Researching on Google doesn't produce a satisfactory answer why it doesn't work. Does any javascript guru knows about this behavior, and what would be the best practice to jump to an anchor via javascript?

  • CSS breaks in Explorer (insert humor here)

    This Wordpress site works fine in Firefox and Safari. However viewing in Explorer 7 (don't care about 6) breaks the header/navigation area. Weirdly enough, refreshing the page fixes the alignment issue, but then hides the header. http://anothersideof.me Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • When developing a MVC project, is the the toolbox really useful?

    I'm a noobie when it comes to VS, specifically VS 2010. I'm trying to learn MVC 2.0. If you're developing a pure MVC project, it seems like most of the toolbox is not useful. Shouldn't the IDE hide controls that aren't useful? Specifically, I'm looking at the AJAX extensions like Timer and UpdatePanel, but it seems like a lot controls more would require postback.

  • Is it possible to prevent just horizontal scrolling when overflow-x is hidden?

    I have a web page that has content which extends past the right edge of the browser window. I set overflow-x: hidden on <body> to turn off the bottom scrollbar, but I can still scroll horizontally with the trackpad, which is not what I want. Is there any way to prevent the browser from scrolling horizontally? As a side note: Safari 4.0.4 only scrolls horizontally sometimes, and the scrolling feels "sticky" and "jumpy," whereas Firefox always smoothly scrolls horizontally.

    I recently upgraded to iPhone Simulator 3.0, and when I do a two-finger scroll on a div (in Safari or UIWebView), it no longer works. To do a two-finger scroll in iPhone simulator, hold option to get two fingers, hold shift to lock the fingers in place relative to eachother, and then click and drag the div.   • How to cascade dependency resolution w/ CDI (WELD)

    I would like to have a central weld container that holds all my services and so on. This container would however be wrapped by a second container which contains local settings. THe goal is if a depdendency cannot be found in the outter container then i would like to then search the inner container. How can i achieve this ? I would prefer to do things in a standlike manner, without reverting to use of non standard WELD extensions.
