  (I posted this same question on the Clojure list but haven't got an answer yet. Is anyone here ready to help?) I am going through Programming Clojure and I recently downloaded the code from the books official website. For other utils I can do, for example, (require 'clojure.contrib.str-utils) and it works. But how do I load code from the book? • Integration test failing through NUnit Gui/Console, but passes through TestDriven in IDE

  I am using NHibernate against an Oracle database with the NHibernate.Driver.OracleDataClientDriver driver class. I have an integration test that pulls back expected data properly when executed through the IDE using TestDriven.net. However, when I run the unit test through the NUnit GUI or Console, NHibernate throws an exception saying it cannot find the Oracle.DataAccess assembly. Obviously, this prevents me from running my integration tests as part of my CI process. NHibernate.HibernateException : The IDbCommand and IDbConnection implementation in the assembly Oracle.DataAccess could not be found. Ensure that the assembly Oracle.DataAccess is located in the application directory or in the Global Assembly Cache. If the assembly is in the GAC, use element in the application configuration file to specify the full name of the assembly.* I have tried making the assembly available in two ways, by copying it into the bin\debug folder and by adding the element in the config file. Again, both methods work when executing through TestDriven in the IDE. Neither work when executing through NUnit GUI/Console. • Error editing a blob field in ArcGIS Engine

  I have a GIS layer backed by a MSSQL db. The features on the layer have, say, one field of type esriFieldTypeString and one of type esriFieldTypeBlob. I can edit the string field just fine, but, when I try to edit a blob, StopEditOperation() throws a very generic exception (message: "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.", error code: -2147467259). I couldn't find anything related in the server log. Does anyone have any idea what's going on?   Hello, I'm investigating a bit about how the unhandled exceptions are managed in .Net and I'm getting unexpected results that I would like to share with you to see what do you think about. The first one is pretty simple to see. • Making Ninject Interceptors work with async methods

  I am starting to work with ninject interceptors to wrap some of my async code with various behaviors and am having some trouble getting everything working. Here is an interceptor I am working with: public class MyInterceptor : IInterceptor { public async void Intercept(IInvocation invocation) { try { invocation.Proceed(); //check that method indeed returns Task await (Task) invocation.ReturnValue; RecordSuccess(); } catch (Exception) { RecordError(); invocation.ReturnValue = _defaultValue; throw; } } This appears to run properly in most normal cases. I am not sure if this will do what I expect. Although it appears to return control flow to the caller asynchronously, I am still a bit worried about the possibility that the proxy is unintentionally blocking a thread or something. That aside, I cannot get the exception handling working. For this test case: [Test] public void ExceptionThrown() { try { var interceptor = new MyInterceptor(DefaultValue); var invocation = new Mock<IInvocation>(); invocation.Setup(x => x.Proceed()).Throws<InvalidOperationException>(); interceptor.Intercept(invocation.Object); } catch (Exception e) { } } I can see in the interceptor that the catch block is hit, but the catch block in my test is never hit from the rethrow. I am more confused because there is no proxy or anything here, just pretty simple mocks and objects. I also tried something like Task.Run(() => interceptor.Intercept(invocation.Object)).Wait(); in my test, and still no change. The test passes happily, but the nUnit output does have the exception message. I imagine I am messing something up, and I don't quite understand what is going on as much as I think I do. Is there a better way to intercept an async method? What am I doing wrong with regards to exception handling?

• Recover a folder or file in TortoiseSVN whilst also retaining all history.

  In revision 1 a folder existed. In revision 2 the folder was accidently deleted and the change committed. We wish to roll back such that the folder is present, and retain its history. In the TortoiseSVN docs it indicates 'how' in the section titled "Getting a deleted file or folder back". To quote: Getting a deleted file or folder back If you have deleted a file or a folder and already committed that delete operation to the repository, then a normal TortoiseSVN - Revert can't bring it back anymore. But the file or folder is not lost at all. If you know the revision the file or folder got deleted (if you don't, use the log dialog to find out) open the repository browser and switch to that revision. Then select the file or folder you deleted, right-click and select [Context Menu] - [Copy to...] as the target for that copy operation select the path to your working copy. A switch retrieves the file into my working copy as one would expect, however there is no "Copy to" option on the context menu when I right click this working copy. If I open the repos browser, there is a copy to option, but it seems this simply takes a copy of the file. The solution I feel is to do a Branch/Tag, but if I try this from a prior revision to the same path in the repository SVN throws error that the path already exists.   I'm doing some maintenance on an older web application written in Monorail v1.0.3. I want to unit test an action that uses RenderText(). How do I extract the content in my test? Reading from controller.Response.OutputStream doesn't work, since the response stream is either not setup properly in PrepareController(), or is closed in RenderText(). • How to call SQL Function with multiple parameters from C# web page

  I have an MS SQL function that is called with the following syntax: SELECT Field1, COUNT(*) AS RecordCount FROM GetDecileTable('WHERE ClientID = 7 AND LocationName = ''Default'' ', 10) The first parameter passes a specific WHERE clause that is used by the function for one of the internal queries. When I call this function in the front-end C# page, I need to send parameter values for the individual fields inside of the WHERE clause (in this example, both the ClientID & LocationName fields) The current C# code looks like this: String SQLText = "SELECT Field1, COUNT(*) AS RecordCount FROM GetDecileTable('WHERE ClientID = @ClientID AND LocationName = @LocationName ',10)"; SqlCommand Cmd = new SqlCommand(SQLText, SqlConnection); Cmd.Parameters.Add("@ClientID", SqlDbType.Int).Value = 7; // Insert real ClientID Cmd.Parameters.Add("@LocationName", SqlDbType.NVarChar(20)).Value = "Default"; // Real code uses Location Name from user input SqlDataReader reader = Cmd.ExecuteReader(); When I do this, I get the following code from SQL profiler: exec sp_executesql N'SELECT Field1, COUNT(*) as RecordCount FROM GetDecileTable (''WHERE ClientID = @ClientID AND LocationName = @LocationName '',10)', N'@ClientID int,@LocationID nvarchar(20)', @ClientID=7,@LocationName=N'Default' When this executes, SQL throws an error that it cannot parse past the first mention of @ClientID stating that the Scalar Variable @ClientID must be defined.   hi there; i'm troubleshooting why i cannot get past the login dialog on an asp.net site configured for windows authentication and impersonation. help me before i switch to os x development and objective-c i have an asp.net 2.0 application and i'm trying to deploy it on windows 7 with iis 7.5. i've created a new site, and bound it to localhost and a fully qualified domain name. the fqdn is in my hosts file, and is redirected to 127.0.0.1 the site is also running with an appdomain i created, with integrated pipeline mode, and the process model identity is set to ApplicationPoolIdentity. web.config includes the following: <trust level="High" /> <authentication mode="Windows" /> <authorization> <deny users="?"/> </authorization> <identity impersonate="true"/> acl on the directory for the site is desperation set to everyone full control, the application pool virtual account (windows 7 thing) is set to full control on the physical directory for the site also. iis authentication has asp.net impersonation enabled, and windows authentication enabled. when i connect to the site as localhost, it permits me to get past the login prompt and the application loads without incident. when i connect to the site as the fqdn set in the host headers bindings for this site/ip/port, i cannot get past the login prompt. clicking cancel throws to a http 401.1 error page. why? thanks very much in advance.

• SharePoint custom web service consumption problems - HTTP 401: Unauthorized

  I have a custom web service deployed into WSS 3. It has two web methods. The first one returns the version of the loaded assembly without any invocation of the SharePoint objects. The second returns some basic info about the library, something like: var spLibrary = [find library logic]; return spLibrary.Name+"@"+spLibrary.Url; In the client app I have something like the following: var service = new WebService1(); service.Url = [url]; service.Credentials = System.Net.CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials; service.Method1(); service.Method2(); When the client app runs on the machine where SharePoint is deployed, everything works just fine. When the client app runs on the remote machine (but under the same user) the first method still works, but the second one throws System.Net.WebException: HTTP 401: Unauthorized. I have tried to set credentials manualy (service.Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential(login, password, domain);) but this doesnt help. I've tried to invoke the built in SharePoint web services using a similar scenario, and they work just fine: Sorry for the mistake... • Why do I get garbage output when printing an int[]?

  My program is suppose to count the occurrence of each character in a file ignoring upper and lower case. The method I wrote is: public int[] getCharTimes(File textFile) throws FileNotFoundException { Scanner inFile = new Scanner(textFile); int[] lower = new int[26]; char current; int other = 0; while(inFile.hasNext()){ String line = inFile.nextLine(); String line2 = line.toLowerCase(); for (int ch = 0; ch < line2.length(); ch++) { current = line2.charAt(ch); if(current >= 'a' && current <= 'z') lower[current-'a']++; else other++; } } return lower; } And is printed out using: for(int letter = 0; letter < 26; letter++) { System.out.print((char) (letter + 'a')); System.out.println(": " + ts.getCharTimes(file)); } Where ts is a TextStatistic object created earlier in my main method. However when I run my program, instead of printing out the number of how often the character occurs it prints: a: [I@f84386 b: [I@1194a4e c: [I@15d56d5 d: [I@efd552 e: [I@19dfbff f: [I@10b4b2f And I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

  I have a card-game application which makes use of Single Table Inheritance. I have a class Card, and a database table cards with column type, and a number of subclasses of Card (including class Foo < Card and class Bar < Card, for the sake of argument). As it happens, Foo is a card from the original printing of the game, which Bar is a card from an expansion. In an attempt to rationalise my models, I have created a directory structure like so: app/ + models/ + card.rb + base_game/ + foo.rb + expansion/ + bar.rb And modified environment.rb to contain: Rails::Initializer.run do |config| config.load_paths += Dir["#{RAILS_ROOT}/app/models/**"] end However, when my reads a card from the database, Rails throws the following exception: ActiveRecord::SubclassNotFound (The single-table inheritance mechanism failed to locate the subclass: 'Foo'. This error is raised because the column 'type' is reserved for storing the class in case of inheritance. Please rename this column if you didn't intend it to be used for storing the inheritance class or overwrite Card.inheritance_column to use another column for that information.) Is it possible to make this work, or am I doomed to a flat directory structure?

• silverlight master-detail with two listboxes in pure xaml with ria services throwing exception

  Hi, I was trying to achieve master-detail with 2 ListBox, 2 DomainDataSource and a IValueConverter, when entering the page it throws the random error it does when your xaml is invalid: "AG_E_PARSER_BAD_PROPERTY_VALUE [Line: 24 Position: 61]" Which is in fact the start position of where I am binding the listbox selected item with converter to the parameter's value of my DomainDataSource.   I am attempting to update an entry in Azure Table Storage. If it is an update to an existing entity, then the "AttachTo", and the "UpdateObject" calls work, but when it gets to "SaveChanges", it throws the "One of the request inputs not valid" exception. There is also no contact with that information on my phone already. Does anyone have any insight into what I might be doing wrong?
