• Java: Prepare a statement without a connection

  I'm trying to generate some sql files in my java application. The application will not execute any sql statements, just generate a file with sql statements and save it. I'd like to use the java.sql.PreparedStatement to create my statements so that i don't have to validate every string etc. with my own methods. Is there a way to use the PreparedStatement without the calling java.sql.Connection.prepareStatement(String) function, because I don't have a java.sql.Connection?

I need 2 images to be uploaded at once, or one after another. and both of the images need to be in different location. • Why thread specific data is required in pthread ?

  Hi As i know, all the threads share memory location. For example a global variable changes in one thread will reflect in another thread. Since each thread has its own stack, the local variables that are created inside the thread is unique. In this case, why do we need to go for thread specific data mechanism?. Can't it be achieved by auto storage varibles inside the thread function ? Kindly clarify!!!. BR Rj

  Hey all, this is my first post. I recently upgraded a wordpress site, all things load but on the top of the page and bottom of the page I get this error. Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp/sess_6v2kul3t823ah9074g3cl2lrt6, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /home/admin_m3/incommunion.org/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/wordpress-automatic-upgrade.php on line 121 How can I remove it from the page?   PHP's str_replace() was intended only for ANSI strings and as such can mangle UTF-8 strings. However, given that it's binary-safe would it work properly if it was only given valid UTF-8 strings as arguments? Edit: I'm not looking for a replacement function, I would just like to know if this hypothesis is correct.

  I have a html textbox on which I've bound a function via jQuery to the paste event to prevent users pasting a value into the textbox. This functionality works well. However it is possible to select some text from another textbox on the page and drag it into the textbox in which pastes are prevented. Is there a jQuery event that I can bind to that will prevent users dragging text into the texbox?

• Does Math.Sqrt cache its own results?

  Someone has suggested to me that the built in C# Math.Sqrt function in .NET 4.0 caches its results, so that if I call Math.Sqrt(50) over and over again, it's not actually doing a sqrt, but just pulling the answer from a cache. Can anyone verify or deny this claim? If it's true then I have a bunch of needless caching going on in my code.
