  • Does Math.Sqrt cache its own results?

    Someone has suggested to me that the built in C# Math.Sqrt function in .NET 4.0 caches its results, so that if I call Math.Sqrt(50) over and over again, it's not actually doing a sqrt, but just pulling the answer from a cache. Can anyone verify or deny this claim? If it's true then I have a bunch of needless caching going on in my code.

    I'm trying to figure out the syntax for creating a view (or function) but only if a dependent CLR assembly exits. I get Msg 156, Level 15, State 1, Line 2 Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'view'. How can this be done?

Specifically, can I assume that the it is going to be called before the next statement after the call to myFunction() ?

    I have a debug .exe file that i want to run on other machines that don't have MS Visual Studio 2008 installed on them. How can this be done? The release option doesn't work as the application does not function correctly when build in release (not sure why). At the moment I'm getting a message saying "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect". An ideas? Cheers.
