    This is what I want to do : A servlet is called.Before a servlet is called , the request is intercepted by a filter. Filter gets some details out from the request,sets them as an attribute and the forwards it to a servlet via chain.doFilter(request,response). Request finally reaches the servlet. Servlet gets the attribute set by the filter before and sets a new attribute by another name. Then it forwards it to some jsp page where the page gets the attribute and processes it. How do I do this ? I know how to write a filter and a servlet but how do I forward it to a jsp page from the servlet or is there any other way to achieve this ?

The reason I want to do this is because I have the following code function drawChart() { //... return [list of important vars] } function updateChart(importantVars) { //... } var importantVars = drawChart(); updateChart(importantVars); And I want to be able to do something like this instead: var chart = drawChart();<br> chart.redraw(); I was hoping there was a way I could just attach a method to what i'm returning in drawChart().     Goal/Situation: I currently have a UIView in the TableView header. I am trying to add another UIView (which contains two Buttons and a few TextFields) that will sit above the TableView header. I would like the view to be displayed when the user scrolls up past the header (a la "pull to refresh"), and go away when the user presses a "done" button on the view. My two questions: 1) How do I add a view above the tableview header? 2) How do I display said view when a user has scrolled up past the header? 3) How do I dismiss said view when the user has pressed a button on said view?

  • "Method name expected" error when trying add a handler method to a delegate - C#

    I keep getting the error "Method name expected" when trying add the a method to a delegate. I have a delegate which is invoked when ever my game ends. The function I'm trying to add to the delegate stops a countdown from flashing (the method is in a static class). I've searched about and I'm still unsure why its not working. Here is the line causing the error: LivesManager.gameEnded += new LivesManager.EndGame(CountdownManager.DisableFlashTimer(this)); The this passes the current form to the method so it can disable the timer flash on the form. I have added methods from static classes to the same delegate before and it works fine, the only difference is that I'm passing the form as a paramater and then it doesn't like it. Is there any way to pass the form to the method without the error? Thanks in advance :)

For one application, the "Generic / Text Only" printer must be present, for the other to work I need to remove it. I've found a few .vbs scripts, but they are for network printer. How do I make them work with my local printer? Is there a better solution? The user would have to run the script every time he needs to switch from an application to another.

It would eventually start working after I messed around with the audio settings, but it happened every restart. I eventually switched to SMPlayer, but now I need some of the features that VLC offers, but I still can't use VLC. At this point, the audio can not be heard at all, and the method I used before, messing around with the audio settings, isn't getting me anywhere.     Recently I had to write a DAX formula containing a LASTDATE within the logical condition of a FILTER: I found that its behavior was not the one I expected and I further investigated. At the end, I wrote my findings in this article on SQLBI, which can be applied to any Time Intelligence function with a <dates> argument.The key point is that when you write LASTDATE( table[column] )in reality you obtain something like LASTDATE( CALCULATETABLE( VALUES( table[column] ) ) )which converts an existing row context into a filter context.Thus, if you have something like FILTER( table, table[column] = LASTDATE( table[column] ) the FILTER will return all the rows of table, whereas you probably want to use FILTER( table, table[column] = LASTDATE( VALUES( table[column] ) ) )so that the existing filter context before executing FILTER is used to get the result from VALUES( table[column] ), avoiding the automatic expansion that would include a CALCULATETABLE that would hide the existing filter context.If after reading the article you want to get more insights, read the Jeffrey Wang's post here.In these days I'm speaking at SQLRally Nordic 2012 in Copenhagen and I will be in Cologne (Germany) next week for a SSAS Tabular Workshop, whereas Alberto will teach the same workshop in Amsterdam one week later.     Hi, I'm trying to implement an UPnP MediaServer in WCF. I'm slowly getting there, but now I've hit a brick wall. I need to add a prefix to the ServiceContract namespace. Right now I have the following: [ServiceContract(Namespace = "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:ContentDirectory:1")] public interface IContentDirectory { [OperationContract(Action = "urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:ContentDirectory:1#Browse")] void Browse(string ObjectID, string BrowseFlag, string Filter, ulong StartingIndex, ulong RequestedCount, string SortCriteria, out string Result, out ulong NumberReturned, out ulong TotalMatches, out ulong UpdateID); } This listens to the correct soap-messages. However, I need the soap-body to begin with <u:Browse xmlns-u="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:ContentDirectory:1"> and WCF is now listening to: <Browse xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:service:ContentDirectory:1"> How do I get the prefix there? Does it matter? Or is there another reason why the parameters are not passed into the Browse method?

  • Add columns to SqlWebEventProvider

    In an asp.net application, we'd like to use the SqlWebEventProvider to log any Event that occurs during the application lifetime. The problem is that we think that the table aspnet_WebEvent_Event doesn't provide enough columns and should log more information (we need to keep the Logged user). I'm aware that this information could be stored in the "Details" column but it wouldn't then be really simple to filter the results and build reports. So I'm searching for a simple solution to add a column. I wish I could derive SqlWebEventProvider but the methods used to build the stocked procedure parameters are private (PrepareParams() and FillParams()). Any simple solution that doesn't imply to rewrite the entire Provider class ?
