  • How to force a WebPart to display in all pages of a portal?

    Hi, I'm working on a portal/CMS project and (unfortunately) build the foundation on WebParts platform. However I need to provide an option for admin to choose whether a webpart should be display in all pages or not. Finally I've found a nice article from Damon Armstrong that describes a way to store all personalization data of a group of pages into one record. Thus every changes the admin made for a webpart, affect whole pages. But it doesn't seems to be a solution for me. May be it would be solved by writing a custom personalization provider, but I don't now how. Any Ideas about the problem? Thanks

  • Changing content using innerHTML with a non-standard element in Internet Explorer

    I have the non-standard element <testele></testele> In every browser except IE, this bit of JavaScript will successfully change the content of the above element document.getElementsByTagName("testele")[0].innerHTML = 'hi'; However, if I change the <testele> to just a <span> (in the HTML and the JavaScript), it now successfully changes the content of the element in every browser, including IE. Is there any fix? I have searched around and tried a bunch to no avail.

    I have a simple CSS problem In this site http://web.cinaird.se/pdf/test.htm I have a draggable images in the top content, I want a span that float on top of the image and for this I need a span containing the image and a span floating on top. So long no problem but now when i drag the image it hides outside the top content. so my question is as follows, how can I wrap a image and a floating span above and still be able to drag it outside the container. I hop I don't have missed something obvious and you have a quick solution, Thanks for your time.

  • Usercontrol access javascript from a Content's Page's Master Page

    Hello all I have a problem. I have a masterpage that all of my Content pages inherit from. Within this masterpage I have a script tag pointing to the javascript file folder "~/Scripts/validation.js" On my content pages I use different usercontrols that require the use of many of the functions within the validation.js file however if I dont put the tag and the javascript functions within a contentholder on the contentpage the usercontrols do not see these functions and I get errors like "OnNameValidation" is not defined. Of course I can copy the javscript code into all of the pages but that's 30+ pages and a maintenance nightmare if I find a bug in one of the javscript functions. So the question (if you haven't already figured out from my long dissertation) is how can I declare the script tag with the path to the validation.js file so that contentpages and their usercontrols etc. can access the functions/code.   • jQuery UI Tabs causes content to be cutoff on page load in IE6/IE7

    I have a web page with jQuery UI Tabs on it. Some of the content is in an html table. When the page loads some of the content will be cut off at the end, usually just the last few letters. If I change tabs and come back to the original tab then it fixes itself. This appears to be an issue just with Internet Explorer, specifically IE6/7, I haven't tested it on 8. I believe the issue is directly related to my use of the Blueprint CSS Framework as if I don't use Blueprint then I don't have the issue. Has anyone encountered this before or have any ideas?

  • Call function from hyperlink defined in qTip content

    Hi, I am trying to call a javascript function from a hyperlink that is part of the content in a qTip. I keep getting the error my function is not defined but it is defined within the page and can be called outside of qTip. Below is what I have so far: function addTooltip() { $("#mycontent").qtip({ content: 'mylink' }); } function tester() { alert("hello world"); } If I put the alert within the onClick attribute, I at least get the alert to work. Is there some special way of calling a function from within qTip? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  • Cell Dequeue problem when table inside another table's cell content view

    I am using two table views (Main Table and Sub Table), one table inside other's cell. I am adding Sub Table in Main Table's cell content view. I am also using different Cell Identifier for both table cells. Now, issue is : When - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath is called, very first time cell of Main Table is generated and when I scroll up/down they all are just dequeued, so it is expected and standard behavior and working fine. But, cell of Sub Table is getting created/allocated every time. It is not dequeued as it should be. I guess, its happening because Sub Table is part of Main Table's Cell Content view. But not sure and don't know how to resolve it. Can somebody help me to find the solution?

A request to a REST web service developed using Apache CXF and Spring MVC with MySQL as back end serving references(a field in database) to images,audio and video files stored in file system. In the response message, what is the best method to send the content to the client(another application using the service which I developed). URI: http://www.filmservices.com/film/{id} A client here is not the end user. Send the encoded hyperlink's(where the content is stored in the file system) to the client, so that the client renders the response and displays it to the browser. Use Base64 to encode the message(image,audio,video) and send it to the client. Main concern is performance.

    No matter what I do: <meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-cache" /> <meta http-equiv="Expires" content="Fri, 30 Apr 2010 11:12:01 GMT" /> <meta http-equiv="Expires" content="0" /> <HTTP-EQUIV="PRAGMA" CONTENT="NO-STORE" /> Google Chrome does not reload any page according to the page's internal cache policy if the page is displayed in a frame. It is as though the meta tags are not even there. Google Chrome seems to be ignoring these tags. Since I've gotten answers to this question on other forums where the person responding has ignored the operative condition, I will repeat it: this behavior occurs when the page is displayed in a frame. I was using the latest released version and have since upgraded to 5.0.375.29 beta but the behavior is the same in both versions. Would someone please care to confirm one way or another the behavior you are seeing with framesets and the caching/expiration policies given in meta tags? Thanks

  • Flex Air HTMLLoader blank pop up window when flash content is loaded

    I have a flex Air program that loads external content with the HTMLLoader. Now for some reason whenever I load a page that has any flash content a blank system window pops up outside of my program. It's completely blank, all white with min, max and close buttons. If I close it any flash content I loaded stops working. For the life of my I can't figure out what's happening and there's no messages in the console and no title for the window. Does anyone have any ideas? I appreciate any help you can give.     If i try to open a created url i get an 500 error. My procedure was: First python manage.py startapp black I added in project/settings.py under INSTALLED_APPS 'black', I added in project/urls.py url(r'^test/', include('black.urls')), Content of black/urls.py is: from django.conf.urls import patterns, url from black import views urlpatterns = patterns('', url(r'^$', views.index, name='index') ) And content of black/views.py: from django.http import HttpResponse def index(request): return HttpResponse("SHOW ME: BLACK") After all i synced the database. I can't see any error in apache-error-log and also not in my posted django files. What could cause this?

In other words, when Selenium visits http://www.google.com I want to save the HTML, JavaScript (including scripts referenced in src tags), images, and potentially content contained in iframes. How can this be done? I know getHTMLSource() will return the HTML content in the body of the main frame, but how can this be extended to download the complete set of files necessary to render that page again.   • Jquery Content Cycle Next/Previous not working

    I have a definition list with a lot of text inside of it. When a user comes to the page, I want the jQuery to hide two thirds of that content, add a next and previous button where appropriate, and fade the content in and out. The first third of the content is .issue-group-1, the second third is .issue-group-3, the third, .issue-group-3. I am trying to set it so that when the user hits the next button, the next button changes classes, and thus acts differently the next time the user clicks it (that is, it takes them to the third page instead of the second. Right now, the next/previous buttons are working on the first and second "pages" but the next button to the third page won't work. My code is probably too long and this is maybe not the best way to do it--I'm new to jquery.     I have two web applications (A) and (B). (A) is my primary web application. (B) is purely for content storage, such as file uploads by users of (A). What's best way to securely retrieve data from (B) into (A) but in a way that does not expose the data in (B) to potential discovery by third-parties over the public internet or nosy users of (A)? For example, if I use a HTML form POST from (A) to (B) to retrieve user data, and have a hidden form field called user_id=1, then someone could simply change this to user_id=2 and see the content owned by another user of the application. That would be a problem.

The this data have also some links to internal pages existing in sitemap (Zend_Navigation object). It's easy to insert the link in page body just by using <a> tag. But the contents of this inline links does not change when I update the sorce XML for Zend Navigation (url's, attributes, ACL permissions). How do you handle this case? Special markup for the link, converting the link using url view helper? Iterate Zend_Navigation object extracting specific link (one by one)?

  • iphone dev - loading table content asynchronously

    My app has a navigation controller which push and pop a series of views. One of the tableViews loads .xml file from URL and it takes 4-5 seconds. If I click the back button on the navigation bar, it will only respond after the content of the table finish loading. Is there an easy way to load the content asynchronously so that the app will still respond to my gesture on the navigation bar? p.s. I search this on the Internet and people are talking about multithreading. I don't know a lot about threads so please be more specific. Thanks in advanced =)
