• Edit a video to embed a bitmap.

  I would like to edit a video so that i can embed a small bitmap image at any corner. The bitmap image has to be replaced with another image, for every two video frames. If somehow it is possible to covert a group of pictures into slideshow video then i want that video to be embedded at the corner of the main video. The size of the bitmap is about the size of a channel logo and that is exact space it will occupy in the video. Please guide me in accomplishing. Is there any existing libraries available to do this. • Any way to do slanted/diagonal mouseovers via css/javascript?

  Hi, I have a box built via html borders. I want to connect the bottom left corner to the top right corner with a diagonal line. Either with html/css or by using a background image, doesn't matter. I'll figure that part out later. ------ - /- - / - - / - -/---- Here's the tricky part: I want a different thing to happen depending on which side of the line the mouse is hovering over. I'll do something like make some text visible or change the background color. Is that possible in web programing? • jQuery dialog width resizing problem

  I try to load some HTML code into a jQueryUI dialog by AJAX. The code itself is a list, where rightmost elements should be absolutely positioned so that the list looks like a table with two columns, but only in some rows. The problem is that jQueryUI plugin does not seem to be correctly resizing the dialog's width, which I think is due to the absolute positioning of some li's. I have read some answers to other similar questions, but none helped me out with this.   Edit - Original Title: Is there an alternative way to achieve border-collapse:collapse in CSS (in order to have a collapsed, rounded corner table)? Since it turns out that simply getting the table's borders to collapse does not solve the root problem, I have updated the title to better reflect the discussion. I am trying to make a table with rounded corners using the CSS3 border-radius property. The table styles I'm using look something like this: table { -moz-border-radius:10px; -webkit-border-radius:10px; border-radius:10px} Here's the problem. I also want to set the border-collapse:collapse property, and when that is set border-radius no longer works (at least in Firefox)(edit- I thought this might just be a difference in mozilla's implementation, but it turns out this is the way it's supposed to work according to the w3c). Is there a CSS-based way I can get the same effect as border-collapse:collapse without actually using it? Edits: I've made a simple page to demonstrate the problem here (Firefox/Safari only). It seems that a large part of the problem is that setting the table to have rounded corners does not affect the corners of the corner td elements. If the table was all one color, this wouldn't be a problem since I could just make the top and bottom td corners rounded for the first and last row respectively. However, I am using different background colors for the table to differentiate the headings and for striping, so the inner td elements would show their rounded corners as well. Summary of proposed solutions: Surrounding the table with another element with round corners doesn't work because the table's square corners "bleed through." Specifying border width to 0 doesn't collapse the table. Bottom td corners still square after setting cellspacing to zero. Using javascript instead- works by avoiding the problem. Possible solutions: The tables are generated in php, so I could just apply a different class to each of the outer th/tds and style each corner separately. I'd rather not do this, since it's not very elegant and a bit of a pain to apply to multiple tables, so please keep suggestions coming. Possible solution 2 is to use javascript (jQuery, specifically) to style the corners. This solution also works, but still not quite what I'm looking for (I know I'm picky). I have two reservations: 1) this is a very lightweight site, and I'd like to keep javascript to the barest minimum 2) part of the appeal that using border-radius has for me is graceful degradation and progressive enhancement. By using border-radius for all rounded corners, I hope to have a consistently rounded site in CSS3-capable browsers and a consistently square site in others (I'm looking at you, IE). I know that trying to do this with CSS3 today may seem needless, but I have my reasons. I would also like to point out that this problem is a result of the w3c speficication, not poor CSS3 support, so any solution will still be relevant and useful when CSS3 has more widespread support.

• Obtain Latitude and Longitude from a GeoTIFF File

  Using GDAL in Python, how do you get the latitude and longitude of a GeoTIFF file? GeoTIFF's do not appear to store any coordinate information. Instead, they store the XY Origin coordinates. However, the XY coordinates do not provide the latitude and longitude of the top left corner and bottom left corner. It appears I will need to do some math to solve this problem, but I don't have a clue on where to start. What procedure is required to have this performed? I know that the GetGeoTransform() method is important for this, however, I don't know what to do with it from there.

• Strange CSS Positioning issue with a fader on a responsive site

  I'm developing a prototype responsive wordpress theme version of my homepage. I'm running into issues with the fader on the homepage. http://dev.epicwebdesign.ca/epicblog/ When the image switches, it uses position:absolute to overlay the pictures, then goes back to position:relative. I need to make the absolute be relative to the bottom left corner of the menu instead of the top left corner of #wrap so it doesn't overlap. I tried putting it in a container div like this: http://wiki.orbeon.com/forms/doc/contributor-guide/browser#TOC-Absolutely-positioned-box-inside-a-box-with-overflow:-auto-or-hidden but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? There are major CSS compatibility issues in IE, try it in chrome. It should look similar to http://epicwebdesign.ca. When the browser window is shrunk horizontially, the whole theme compensates.

I am using the jQuery plugin from http://jquery.malsup.com/corner/ The problem is that the top corners are not rounding in Internet Explorer. Works fine with Firefox! Anybody got any advice? However, when it's somewhere else in the superview, say, in the lower left corner, it looks like this: Note that it is tilted to the right. I basically have two left floated divs. Inside those two divs are div headers and tabled content. I want the Div headers (Hour/Minute) to stretch to the width of the tabled content, but they only do this in FF and Chrome, not IE7. • Get the size of a Silverlight window

  Hey! I'm creating a Silverlight 4 Out Of Browser application. I have my MainPage that will be the "central" application. I want to be able to display another Control next to the MainPage, by using a Popup and I want it to be displayed right next to the MainPage. How can I get the coordinates of the upper right corner of the MainPage at each moment? (Beware that this MainPage can be moved all over the screen and hence I will need to dynamically get the corner coordinates, in order to display my popup right next to the main window).   I am trying to use the jQuery dialog UI library in order to position a dialog next to some text when it is hovered over. The jQuery dialog takes a position parameter which is measured from the top left corner of the current viewport (in other words, [0, 0] will always put it in the upper left hand corner of your browser window, regardless of where you are currently scrolled to). However, the only way I know to retrieve the location is of the element relative to the ENTIRE page. The following is what I have currently. position.top is calculated to be something like 1200 or so, which puts the dialog well below the rest of the content on the page. $(".mytext").mouseover(function() { position = $(this).position(); $("#dialog").dialog('option', 'position', [position.top, position.left]); } How can I find the correct position?   Hi, I have two questions about jQuery UI Dialog: (1) How can I open a big dialog with topleft corner at my mouseclick point (and if the point is very near the right-bottom corner of my viewport, the dialog will be partly outside the viewport)? I know I can set position for the dialog, but it seems the dialog always overrides my position specifications by bringing itself wholly back into the viewport. (2) If I have multiple dialogs open, how can I find the one that is currently topmost (and if there are several topmost ones that do not overlap, find any one of them)? Thanks!
