At the root of my d: drive, TortoiseSVN is showing the question mark decorators on all the folders. The d: drive is not a SVN working copy. How do I remove the decorators?
I am in the process of setting up a new server which I share with 2 colleagues. Is it possible to get a folder structure into IIS7 at all (in the MMC) so we can keep our sites seperate?
In the IIS7 management console I would like a set of folders foreach of my colleagues so that each of our websites are within their own sub folder.
JUnit 4.7 introduced the concept of custom rules:
http://www.infoq.com/news/2009/07/junit-4.7-rules
There are a number of built in JUnit rules including TemporaryFolder which helps by clearing up folders after a test has been run:
@Rule
public TemporaryFolder tempFolder = new TemporaryFolder();
There's a full list of built in rules here:
http://kentbeck.github.com/junit/javadoc/latest/org/junit/rules/package-summary.html
I'm interested in finding out what custom rules are in place where you work or what useful custom rules you currently use?
I have a copy of the contents of an svn branch locally without any .svn folders. The equivalent of the output of an svn export of that branch. I'd like to link up this directory to its corresponding branch in version control, without having to do an svn checkout followed by manually merging my changes in. Is there some way to do this easily?
I'm using Visual C# 2010 Express RTM with Windows Phone Developer Tools April CTP Refresh and when I run any Build option, nothing happens. I've deleted the contents of the build output folders and that doesn't do anything. I can't even run the project, because it complains the executable is missing (XNA Game for Windows project). I've tried the project on another computer and it builds just fine. Any ideas?
I am developing a VS 2008 web application in C#. I am trying to include a namespace that is stored in one of my folders. So instead of:
using ADONET_namespace
it is stored in "Admins" folder. How do I modify this aspx.cs file to include Admins/ADONET_namespace?
Currently I get following error from aspx.cs file:
The type or namespace name 'ADONET_namespace' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
How does Windows with NTFS perform with large volumes of files and directories?
Is there any guidance around limits of files or directories you can place in a single directory before you run into performance problems or other issues? e.g. is a folder with 100,000 folders inside of it an ok thing to do
I created a NetBeans project. I took the project folders zipped to another machine and tried opening it in NetBeans. NetBeans didn't identify it as a NetBeans project. I have transfered projects in this way before but why is it not working now? Are any of my project files corrupted. Is there any way to retrieve my files from this?
Without writing a custom ant task is there a way to use a timeout on a regular ant target? To give some background info ... we are using the delete task to remove all contents of a given directory. Sometimes this directory is massive with lots of generated folders and files. We wanted to have that task say timeout after 5 minutes. I could not find anything online anywhere ... any ideas?
I'm relatively new to TFS and am wondering other people deal with organising TFS where there are many projects? For example, does anyone know if it's possible to put TFS projects inside folders or do people use prefixes / suffixes?
Hi everybody,
I develop a simple file manager inside an ASP.NET Web site (not web application).
I notice that every time I rename or delete a folder, the site gets recompiled - i.e. the very next web request after delete or rename operation takes considerably much time to execute.
It's only true for folders, not for files.
Why does this occur?
P.S. I use WebDev server (Cassini), haven't tested in on IIS yet.
I guess these are all questions that everyone must just know, because I'm not seeing this in the documentation :-D
I understand that the public folder is the folder that the world has access to.
I know it is the case with the css folder, but in migrating a traditional php website over, will my /images folder, /js folder /mp3s, etc Will those all just also be public folders that will be accessed via the layout or view.phtml pages?
Thanks!

I've decided to move all the mail accounts in my domain to Google Apps: Is there a subtle migration tool that can make the transition painless, since I want all the mail history and folders to be intact.
I'm also looking to duplicate the user provisioning API with Google Apps Users alternative. Are my goals realistic? Are there any tools out there that already make this task simpler?
hi,
I've just imported a Flex component into my project.
I have a theory question about importing.
all the imports statements in the component source files started with "com.subFolder.etc", but I have preferred to move the component folders into "componentName" and to replace all import statements as "componentName.com.subFolder.etc"
Is this ok ? Everything works perfectly, but I was wondering if the method is correct.
thanks
I have created and am working on a server-application that monitors for specific folders and takes appropriate actions whenever files are being added.
Now I come to the point where I want to be able to shutdown the program, for example for applying a patch.
The server runs simply in a command prompt, how can I signal that I want to perform maintenance on it? I do not think reading System.In is feasible as I am also outputting text in the prompt.
Regards.
I have a control on a page that contains a listbox. I also have another control which is a detail view.
Both of the controls have their own ViewModel which their child controls bind to.
Image Outlook. It has a list of folders and when you select a folder the detail control displays the contents of the folder.
How can I bind the detail control to the selected item in the list control?
I'm creating a tree of folders and files in java. Windows and OSX return the system icons and name with the following code:
new JFileChooser().getIcon(File f);
new JFileChooser().getName(File f);
Is there any possibility to get the icons and name of unix systems?. A system command would be ok too.
Thanks.
I am making an example app of a game. I have a folder i set as the current directory from within visual studios which includes pngs,ogg,config.json,etc.

Hi,
I just installed a couple of fonts on my Mac.
The font shows up in my Photoshop, but not in the Flash font list.
I already clear the font cache, reboot, put fonts in all folders (/Library/..., /Users/... etc)
What could be causing it?
Thx
I have an application that calls ShellExecute with a folder path. This brings up the folder in explorer.
However, I want to make sure that the folders are set to display the contents in thumbnail view. How can I ensure this?
I want to know how to permanently remove the aspnet_client folder under some of our websites in IIS.
Our application does not require it, and scripts against these folders fail due to the folder permissions on this folder.
I have created folders in my root example: http://www.zipholidays.co.uk/Cuba or http://www.zipholidays.co.uk/Florida
When I type http://www.zipholidays.co.uk/cuba (Cube in lowercase), it shows page not found.
I'm using Apache server. People are linking to pages with lowercase, uppercase, mixed case - whatever. What do I do to make the pages case insensitive?
I have inside a controller
PostLogicController.cs
public ActionResult GetCreateNormalPost()
{
return PartialView("CreateNormalPost", null);
}
CreateNormalPost is inside the folder Post (which belongs to another post controller). How do I go about returning the CreateNormalPost.ascx?
My folders are structured as follows:
Controllers
PostController.cs
PostLogicController.cs
Views
Post
Index.aspx
CreateNormalPost.ascx
There is no folder for PostLogicController.
If I drag and drop an assembly, or use the Toolbox's "Choose items..." dialog, should I be choosing the debug or release version of my assemblies from their bin\ folders?
I.e. is Visual Studio clever enough to work out that when I want a release build it'll reference Release built assemblies?
