    Does anyone know of any .NET genetic algorithm frameworks for evolving instructions sets in virtual machines to solve abstract problems? I would be particularly interested in a framework which allows virtual machines to self propagate within a pool and evolve against a fitness function determined by a data set with "good" outputs given expected inputs.

  • Target Framework does not change in Visual Studio 2010

    When I change the target framework of any project in Visual Studio 2010 it does not actually change the System assembly references. For example if I target v2.0 and check the properties of System and System.Data I can see that they are still both v4.0. If i change the target to v3.5, System stays at v4.0 but System.Core changes to v3.5. Because of this I am truly not targeting anything except v4.0.

  • Django message framework and login_required

    I'm using the Django Message Framework to show messages to users as well as the @login_required decorator on one of my views. So if a user tries to access a certain view without being logged in, they get kicked to the login page. How would I go about adding an error message to the login page saying "In order to do ... you must be logged in". I can't add it in the view like you normally would because the non-logged in user would never get to there.

This is what I primarily develop (on the side-for my own use). The site hasn't given me a great overview of why it may be better than other frameworks. However my problem is that I am using 2005 and not 2008. Does anyone know whether this is possible please?? The reason I want to do this is to better understand C# paradigms. With Java this is possible and I learnt a tremendous amount by being able to read code written by engineers

I realized that having nonblocking callback behavior while handling a web request will require deep support at the webserver level. I am interested in node.js, but when I have a web server that ends up persisting data, I would like to take advantage of the static type system that Java offers.
