  • Why can I not print from Google Chrome?

    When I try to print any page from Chrome on my Windows 7 machine, I get the following message. click to enlarge By the way, the gray text in the middle reads Google Chrome cannot show the print preview when the built-in PDF viewer is disabled. In order to see the preview please visit chrome//plugins/, enable the Chrome PDF Viewer, and try again. When I check my plugins, I find that Chrome PDF Viewer is already enabled. Why can't I print?

  • Google Chrome pops up "Your preferences can not be read" upon startup

    Had a power outage. After restarting the computer, now whenever I start Google Chrome, a window pops up "Your preferences can not be read. Some features may be unavailable and changes to preferences won't be saved." Nothing whatsoever in Chrome Help nor in the Chrome Forums as to how to fix the problem. How can this be resolved? Additional edit: Uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome does NOT fix the problem.

Google docs adds the background color 2 way 1)One way is that it selects the text only and adds the background color to text characters only 2)The other way is it makes the whole paragraph a block and adds the background color to that block. i.e the background color fill the whole box like div box with background color.   • Google chrome crashes when you paste from a remote session

    I often have a remote desktop session or a java remoting tool up and whenever i copy from within a remote session and paste into chrome browser, the browser freezes and i have to kill it for anything to work again. has anyone seen this or have a resolution? i have to remember to copy and paste into notepad first and then copy from notepad and then into chrome which is a pain. I am using google chrome 5.0

If I start it in the terminal I can see the following output: [6:6:4528137750:FATAL:sandbox_init_linux.cc(378)] prctl(PR_SET_NO_NEW_PRIVS) failed: Invalid argument Any idea how to solve this? Chrome version: 20.0.1132.47 Ubuntu: 12.04 x64 Kernel: 3.2.0-21-generic #34-Ubuntu EDIT: It is possible to start chrome with --no-sandbox switch.

  • Google chrome proxy authentication dialogue timeout

    I am on a network that uses LDAP proxy for authentication based on a username and password. Whenever I start Google Chrome, it pops up with a proxy authentication dialogue, but the dialogue disappears automatically after variable amount of time (sometimes it stays for 5 seconds some times less than 1 second). I have found the same issue with Chromium also. Is there any configuration I can set to control this timeout, or say, auto-authenticate with my authentication details from the shell or DE (Gnome3 on Arch)?

    I'm downloaded version 37.0 of Google Chrome but, few plugins and extensions didn't worked. I'm uninstalled that version and install 35.0 again, but now i have some errors.   • Dynamically generated PDF files working in most readers except Adobe Reader

    I'm trying to dynamically generate PDFs from user input, where I basically print the user input and overlay it on an existing PDF that I did not create. It works, with one major exception. Adobe Reader doesn't read it properly, on Windows or on Linux. QuickOffice on my phone doesn't read it either. So I thought I'd trace the path of me creating the files - 1 - Original PDF of background PDF 1.2 made with Adobe Distiller with the LZW encoding. I didn't make this. 2 - PDF of background PDF 1.4 made with Ghostscript. I used pdf2ps then ps2pdf on the above to strip LZW so that the reportlab and pyPDF libraries would recognize it. Note that this file looks "fuzzy," like a bad scan, in Adobe Reader, but looks fine in other readers. 3 - PDF of user-input text formatted to be combined with background PDF 1.3 made with Reportlab from user input. Opens properly and looks good in every reader I've tried. 4 - Finished PDF PDF 1.3 made from PyPDF's mergePage() function on 2 and 3. Does not open in: Adobe Reader for Windows Adobe Reader for Linux QuickOffice for Android Opens perfectly in: Google Docs' PDF viewer on the web evince for linux ghostscript viewer for linux Foxit reader for Windows Preview for Mac Are there known issues that I should know about? I don't know exactly what "flate" is, but from the internet I gather that it's some sort of open source alternative to LZW for PDF compression? Could that be causing my problem? If so, are there any libraries I could use to fix the cause in my code?

  • What sort of loop structure to compare checkbox matrix with Google Maps markers?

    I'm trying to build a map of trails around my town. I'm using an XML file to hold all the trail data. For each marker, I have categories like "surface," "difficulty," "uses," etc. I have seen many examples of Google Maps that use checkboxes to show markers by category. However these examples are usually very simple: maybe three different checkboxes. What's different on my end is that I have multiple categories, and within each category there are several possible values. So, a particular trail might have "use" values of "hiking," "biking," "jogging," and "equestrian" because all are allowed. I put together one version, which you can see here: http://www.joshrenaud.com/pd/trails_withcheckboxes3.html In this version, any trail that has any value checked by the user will be displayed on the map. This version works. (although I should point out there is a bug where despite only one category being checked on load, all markers display anyway. After your first click on any checkbox, the map will work properly) However I now realize it's not quite what I want. I want to change it so that it will display only markers that match ALL the values that are checked (rather than ANY, which is what the example above does). I took a hack at this. You can see the result online, but I can't type a link to it because I am new user. Change the "3" in the URL above to a "4" to see it. My questions are about this SECOND url. (trails_withcheckboxes4.html) It doesn't work. I am pretty new to Javascript, so I am sure I have done something totally wrong, but I can't figure out what. My specific questions: Does anyone see anything glaringly obvious that is keeping my second example from working? If not, could someone just suggest what sort of loop structure I would need to build to compare the several arrays of checkboxes with the several arrays of values on any given marker?     I was unable to activate Safari Reader in a local HTML file, so I cannot give you a running example but only describe my problem: The markup of my blog posts is basically this: <div class="post"> <div class="post-header">Hello, World</div> <div class="post-body"> <p>Look at this picture:</p> <p><img src="http://37prime.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/safari_icon.png"/></p> <p>Isn't that a nice picture?</p> </div> </div> This looks as expected in all browsers, including Safari. In Safari Reader however, the third paragraph "Isn't that a nice picture?" is floating around the image, instead of being on a paragraph of it's own. Has anybody experienced a similar problem?

The feed urls have to be added by hand tipically with the copy/paste method, and I don't like this option because is poor for the users. My question is: can I do like in webpage http://feeds2.feedburner.com/microsiervos a list of web applications (Google Reader, Netvibes, etc.). There is a way to do so? I may have to create a firefox addon? I'm quite lost, I think...
