  • PHP/APC fatal error, apc_mmap: mmap failed

    I'm seeing some intermittent CPU usage spikes to 100%, sort of correlated to these log entries: [27-Feb-2012 13:29:29] PHP Fatal error: PHP Startup: apc_mmap: mmap failed: in Unknown on line 0 [27-Feb-2012 13:29:30] PHP Fatal error: PHP Startup: apc_mmap: mmap failed: in Unknown on line 0 [27-Feb-2012 13:29:31] PHP Fatal error: PHP Startup: apc_mmap: mmap failed: in Unknown on line 0 [27-Feb-2012 13:29:31] PHP Fatal error: PHP Startup: apc_mmap: mmap failed: in Unknown on line 0 phpinfo() indicates that APC is set up, and as far as I can tell this error doesn't cause visible 500 errors on the live site, which is a WordPress install that gets about 600k views monthly. Google's been unhelpful so far, and I was hoping that someone here had some insight as to what's causing this and how to fix it. Curiously, this error only shows up /usr/local/apache2/logs/error_log and not the error_log for the cpanel-configured site.

  • Weird vps server issue

    I have an unmanaged linux vps Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot). I have LNMP installed. Also php-fpm php-apc, varnish, memcache. I have (or rather had) several live sites on it. under normal load the server uses ~700 mb memory. But since last night its using only 20mb~ memory and a lot of the services seems to be down (according to htop) I only see nginx working and mysql starts up and goes does every few minutes on a loop.     We have several Windows 2003 servers with print services for Unix on them, and which allow Linux machines running CUPS to use printers defined to CUPS with the URI lpd://printer_server/printer_queue_name - they work. An attempt to provide different printers on a different Windows 2003 server with print services for Unix newly enabled causes CUPS to behave like this: a newly defined printer will be in state "Idle". An attempt to print causes CUPS to change the printer state to "Disabled". Escape character is '^]' Connection closed by foreign host. Windows clients successfully print to the CIFS/SMB share of the hp755cm_ps printer. What other reasons are there for Windows to refuse an lpd request?

    I have Lync Server 2010 and Active Directory installed on 2 different Windows Server 2008 R2 machines. I have added a Windows 7 PC to AD. And I have added this computer to Trusted Application Servers Pool and published the topology. I want to build an UCMA application to extend Lync Server functionality. I have installed UCMA 3.0 SDK in the same computer where Lync Server is residing. But, CMS Replication isn't happening and "Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus" always gives Uptodate as "False" for my Windows 7 PC. I have even tried "Invoke-CSManagementStoreReplication" but nothing changed.     I have a small website where some content is displayed within a HTML tag using AJAX. The content is simply taken from another page on the same web site. However, sometimes instead of loading the parsed PHP file, the browser displays a download box instead. I downloaded the file and this is what it looks like a text file mixed with binary or gzipped data. There are various services published via the WSDL and I am able to use several with no issues.   • Recurring events repeatedly saves a draft every minute

    Using Outlook 2010, some of my recurring (planned, not drafts) events is saving a draft to my Drafts folder every single minute as long as it's active. An example taken from real life is that I have a calendar entry (Appointment) occuring every day from 24-09-2012 until 28-09-2012 from 08:00 to 16:00 (GMT+1) with a blue category, only one participant (me) with subject but without a place. So every minute from 24-09-2012 until 28-09-2012 from 08:00 to 16:00, but not from 16:00 to 08:00, a new draft is automatically saved in my Drafts folder. How do I get rid of that behaviour? Addition here: Removing the offending event just allows a new one to take its place. There doesn't seem to be much on the sites - Microsoft calls it a "personal" issue, but there are more and more instances.

  • How can I change exim's DKIM and SPF for emails sent?

    I've now spent 2 hours trying to figure out this issue and I am about to give up and go to bed. I've been having issues with Gmail rejecting emails from my VPS server because of false spam alerts (probably caused by lfd sending too many emails). So I changed my Exim config to send emails from a different IP (my VPS comes with 3) and that fixed the issue. I also enabled DKIM and SPF on my domains for added measure. But now, all my emails appear as ("From: Sender Name via server.domain1.com") where server.domain1.com is my VPS hostname. I previously had the same issue in Outlook and turning off "Set SMTP Sender: headers" solved that problem. But I believe adding the DKIM and SPF now makes Gmail add "via server.domain1.com" to my messages. How do I fix this?     I am trying to debug a broken page in a Drupal application and am having a hard time getting PHP to spit anything useful out. I have the following set: error_reporting = E_ALL display_errors = On display_startup_errors = On log_errors = On error_log = /var/log/php/php_error.log I have a file showing me phpinfo() which confirms these variables are set correctly for the environment. I have increased memory_limit to 256M (which should be more than enough). Yet, the only indication I get is a status 500 code in the apache access log and a blank white page from PHP. What I'm trying to achieve is defining a reverse proxy rule that defers all traffic to -say- http://mydomain/tomcat/ to the Tomcat server running on port 8080. I have mod_rewrite and mod_proxy loaded in Apache.   • SSH stops at "using username" with IPTables in effect

    We used UFW but couldn't make the Source Dedicated ports open, which was weird, so we purged UFW and switched to IPTables, using Webmin to configure. If the inbound chain is on DENY and SSH port open [judged from Webmin], PuTTY will say using username "root" and stops at that instead of asking for public key pw. Inbound chain on ACCEPT the pw is asked. This problem didn't happen with UFW.   • Confused with DKIM, SPF and Exim Configs

    I've now spent 2 hours trying to figure out this issue and I am about to give up and go to bed. I've been having issues with Gmail rejecting emails from my VPS server because of false spam alerts (probably caused by lfd sending too many emails). So I changed my Exim config to send emails from a different IP (my VPS comes with 3) and that fixed the issue. I also enabled DKIM and SPF on my domains for added measure. But now, all my emails appear as ("From: Sender Name via server.domain1.com") where server.domain1.com is my VPS hostname. I previously had the same issue in Outlook and turning off "Set SMTP Sender: headers" solved that problem. But I believe adding the DKIM and SPF now makes Gmail add "via server.domain1.com" to my messages. How do I fix this?   • VIM "upgraded" to expandtab and tabstop=8 on Python files

    After reinstalling my OS from Kubuntu 12.10 to Kubuntu 14.04, VIM has changed its behaviour when editing Python files. Though before the reinstall all file types had noexpandtab and tabstop=4 set, now in Python those values are expandtab and tabstop=8, checked also via VIM behaviour and also via asking VIM set foo?. Non-Python files retain the noexpandtab and tabstop=4 behaviour that I prefer. The .vim direcotry and .vimrc were not touched during the reinstall.     Let say i have 3 different folders that i want to access with CMD C:\Users\Henok\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Projects\TestApp1\Debug C:\Users\Henok\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Projects\TestApp2\Debug C:\Users\Henok\Documents\Visual Studio 2012\Projects\TestApp3\Debug I wonder if there is a way to create 3 different cmd shortcuts to access those directory (folders) individually without changing the default cmd directory location.
