  • Redirect to hash URL

    - by r1987
I'm building a site with a hashchange on wordpress, all working good. It just loads a single.php template file into a div. The problem is that i can still access my single url (http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post). Since its not having any head and style tags with it, i don't want people to go over there. Also google has picked up the direct links, because I use the href attribute to load content into the div. So my question is: If someone clicks a link lets say in a forum, http://www.mydomain.com/my-single-post , is it possible to redirect him instantly to http://www.mydomain.com/#my-single-post ? I have researched that it has something to do with .htaccess, but I also have Pages, where i don't want the hash infront of the page-name.

  • Submit POST form from url

    - by Martijn Van Mierloo
    Website: www.example.com <form method="POSt" action="" > <input type="hidden" name="test1" value="test11" /> <input type="hidden" name="test2" value="" /> <input type="hidden" name="test3" value="test33" /> <input type="submit" value="Submit"> </form> I want to sumbit this form with adding the correct parameters in the URL. With GET, I can simply use : http://ww.example.com/?test1=test11&test2=&test3=test33 and the form will be sumbitted. Can I do the same for a POST? If so, how? Thanks

  • Associate a URL with a resource within my application

    - by Horace Loeb
When I visit http://my-application.com/posts/1 in my browser, Rails knows I'm looking for the Post with id = 1. How can I get my application to do this internally? I.e., I'd like a function (call it associate_with_resource) that takes a string containing a URL as its input and outputs the associated resource. For example: >> associate_with_resource('http://my-application.com/posts/1') => #<Post id: 1, ... > (I'd like to be able to use associate_with_resource throughout my application though -- not only in the console)

  • sending an url but staying on the same page ( php, codeigniter, javascript )

    - by user1776815
this is my situation. I'm writing an webinterface in codeigniter to send commands to a virtual server. these commands are passed through the browser in an url. example : http://server.com/TgtSendIRCommand?id=UM-02&code=KEY_UP this server then takes action and the web interface refreshes the screenshot. i just want to have a bunch of links in html that send this command to the browser. But if i click the links, the user has to stay on the same page. So the command is sended but there is no other interaction. i am using codeigniter. Any suggestions ?

  • URL replacing regex

    - by perf
I'm trying to make an url that adds a / to all hrefs and srcs in a string. It should only add a / to urls that don't have a http:// at their beginning and that don't have / yet also. If we have this: <a href="ABC">... <img src="DEFG">... <a href="/HIJ">... <a href="http://KLMN">... The results should be something like this: <a href="/ABC">... <img src="/DEFG">... <a href="/HIJ">... <a href="http://KLMN">... This is what i've come up till now: &(href|src)="?!(\/|http::\/\/)(.+)" And the replace would be $1="/$2" It isn't working, though. What am I doing wrong? How would the working regex have to look like

  • Ruby on Rails: url_for :back leads to NoMethodError for back_url

    - by Platinum Azure
Hi all, I'm trying to use url_for(:back) to create a redirect leading back to a previous page upon a user's logging in. I've had it working successfully for when the user just goes to the login page on his or her own. However, when the user is redirected to the login page due to accessing a page requiring that the user be authenticated, the redirect sends the user back to the page before the one s/he had tried to access with insufficient permissions. I'm trying to modify my login controller action to deal with the redirect properly. My plan is to have a query string parameter "redirect" that is used when a forced redirect occurs. In the controller, if that parameter exists that URL is used; otherwise, url_for(:back) is used, or if that doesn't work (due to lack of HTTP_REFERER), then the user is redirected to the site's home page. Here is the code snippet which is supposed to implement this logic: if params[:redirect] @url = params[:redirect] else @url = url_for :back @url ||= url_for :controller => "home", :action => "index" end The error I get is: NoMethodError in UsersController#login undefined method `back_url' for # RAILS_ROOT: [obscured] Application Trace | Framework Trace | Full Trace • Helicon ISAPI Rewrite Proxy 500 Internal Server Error

    - by Rob Stevenson-Leggett
Hi, I have a website running at www.domain.com. The client now wants the website to appear to be running under www.otherdomain.com/whatson/brand/ Since the website is umbraco it won't run under a subfolder. I wanted to use ISAPI rewrite to proxy requests to www.domain.com using the following rule in a .htaccess at www.otherdomain.com/whatson/brand/ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.domain.com/$1 [P,L] However, when I apply this I get an ugly 500 Internal Server Error. There's nothing in the event log. So I turned on ISAPI logging and can see the following 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (2) init rewrite engine with requested uri /whatson/brand/home.aspx Then it testing all the other rewrite rules on the server. Then this 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (1) Htaccess process request w:\websites\otherdomain.com\docs2\whatson\brand\.htaccess 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (3) applying pattern '^(.*)$' to uri 'home.aspx' 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (2) forcing proxy-throughput with http://www.domain.com/home.aspx 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (1) go-ahead with proxy request http://www.domain.com/home.aspx [OK] 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (2) rewrite 'home.aspx' -> '/whatson/brand/home.aspxx.rwhlp?p=0' 111.111.111.111 111.111.111.111 Tue, 12-Jan-2010 13:05:24 GMT [www.otherdomain.com/sid#2045305275][rid#26337200/initial] (2) internal redirect with /whatson/brand/home.aspxx.rwhlp?p=0 [INTERNAL REDIRECT] So it appears to work according to the logs, but I'm not seeing the page come through.. It's worth noting that www.domain.com and www.otherdomain.com are on the same box. LogLevel is 3 and RewriteLogLevel is 3 (I've tried with 9 and debug but there is too much traffic going through the other sites on the box) Any ideas?

  • Ionics Rewrite Filter setup on IIS 5.1

    - by Neil Aitken
I'm trying to configure IIRF 2 on IIS 5.1 running on XP Pro, so that I can run the Zend Framework. I've managed to get the filter running on a second website that I setup using one the IIS admin scripts. When I goto iirfStatus I get this: The problem is the .ini path for the site is pointing to c:\windows\system32\Irif.ini rather than the site root. If I try creating an IIS application under IIS-Website Properties-Home Directory then iirfStatus stops working entirely. Any ideas how I can set the ini path correctly, or will I only be able to get away with this on a proper server edition of IIS?

  • MySQL Federated Tables Escaped Table Names

    - by Gordon
I am trying to use MySQL federated tables. The problem is that the documentation specified at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/federated-use.html says that a federated table should be created using the following format for the CONNECTION parameter: scheme://user_name[:password]@host_name[:port_num]/db_name/tbl_name E.G. CONNECTION='mysql://username:password@hostname:port/database/tablename' CONNECTION='mysql://username@hostname/database/tablename' CONNECTION='mysql://username:password@hostname/database/tablename' The problem is that the table I am trying to connect to has non-standard characters in it and I cannot find the proper way to scape them in the connections tring. For example, a table named `Table (one)` . Which has the space and the parenthesis, requiring backticks surrounding it inside any SQL code. Anyone know the proper way to do this?

  • (Apache) RedirectMatch regex to match all directories except those in my list

    - by dotben
I need to 301 redirect all requests coming in for requests to http//server.com to be redirected to http//newserver.com unless the request is for an arbitary list of directories we are maintaining on the legacy server (eg server.com/foo or server.com/bar) I'm having a hard time working out how best to set this up and the regexs. EG, I need: http//server.com/page1 redirect to http//newserver.com/page1 http//server.com/dir1/page2 redirect to http//newserver.com/dir1/page2 http//server.com/foo to load as normal http//server.com/bar/baz.html to load as normal ... because 'foo' and 'bar' are in my list of legacy dirs. I'm wondering if the way to do this is to some how catch the matches in my list and then redirect anything else as a wildcard over to the new server -- but I can't make it work. Can anyone help me with some regex and rewrites for those please? Thanks (apologies for fudging the http:// in the urls, ServerFault thinks I'm posting hyperlinks and won't otherwise let me post this)

  • Apache mod_rewrite weird behavior in Internet Explorer

    - by morrty
I'm attempting to setup redirection for a couple of root domains. Firstly, here is the code in my httpd-vhosts.conf file: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin ****@example.com ServerName example.com ServerAlias example2.com RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^192\.168\.0\.1$ # This is our WAN IP RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\. [NC] RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^$ RewriteRule ^/?(.*) http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [L,R,NE] </VirtualHost> What this does is redirect the root domain of example.com or example2.com or any host other than www to www.example(2).com The part I'm having a problem with is the RewriteRule itself. the $1 is supposed to match the pattern of the RewriteRule and add it in the substitution. For example: "http://example.com/test.html" should rewrite to "http://www.example.com/test.html" It works in all modern browsers like it's supposed to except for IE8 or IE9 (I didn't test other IE versions). In IE, this works: "http://example.com" to "http://www.example.com" In IE, this does not work: "http://example.com/test.html" to "http://www.example.com/test.html" Does anyone have an explanation for this behavior? I hope I've explained it well enough. Thank you.

  • Why would the IIS UrlRewrite module continue redirecting requests after the rule is removed?

    - by Jon Norton
Our application uses the IIS UrlRewrite module to temporarily redirect requests during upgrades to a maintenance site. We have seen a few instances where even though the redirect rule has been removed, the server continues to redirect all requests according to the removed rule. There does not seem to be any pattern with this, and has only occurred once or twice. We have taken the following steps to try and determine the cause of this behavior. Verified that the original rule was a 307 temporary redirect Requested the application from machines that had never requested it before Used a different browser Added and removed a dummy rule from the IIS management console Checked the http kernel cache using netsh http show cachestate Modified the applicationHost.config file by hand (the rule was not still in the file, we just added a superfluous space) In the past when this has happened, we have been able to restart IIS and it solves the problem but that is not always an option and we really want to figure out what the root cause is. How or why would UrlRewrite be caching the response and not responding to configuration changes?

(Or .gif, .html, .whatever) This is trivial to do with Apache MultiViews, and it seems like it would be equally easy in Nginx. This question seems to imply that it'd be easy as try_files $uri $uri/ index.php; in the location block, but that doesn't work. try_files $uri $uri/ =404; doesn't work, nor does try_files $uri =404; or try_files $uri.* =404; Moving it between my location / { block and the regexp which matches images has no effect. Crucially, try_files $uri.jpg =404; does work, but only for .jpg files, and it throws a configuration error if I use more than one try_files rule in a location block! The current server { block: server { listen 80; server_name example.org www.example.org; access_log /var/log/nginx/vhosts.access.log; root /srv/www/vhosts/example; location / { root /srv/www/vhosts/example; } location ~* \.(?:ico|css|js|gif|jpe?g|es|png)$ { expires max; add_header Cache-Control public; try_files $uri =404; } } Nginx version is 1.1.14.

  • Small domain names

    - by Daniel Moura
I'm want to register a small domain name. I want it to be easy to use from a mobile phone. The '.com' extension is hard to use because you have to press 'o' then 'm'. Does anyone has any suggestions of small domain extension names and where to buy?

  • Connect root domain name to dyndns?

    - by user36175
Is there any way to connect the root of a domain name to a dyndns account? This question reveals how to get www.whatever.com to point to dyndns, but is there a way to get whatever.com itself to point to it? The domain is registered with GoDaddy if that matters.

  • How do I redirect all requests to files in the root folder to point to another folder?

    - by purpletonic
I've moved all of my files from the root of my website into a subfolder, I'd like to do an Apache redirect to point to the files without affecting the other subfolders in my site. E.g. /index.html -- redirect to -- /subfolder1/index.html /file1.html -- redirect to -- /subfolder1/index.html /subfolder2/index.html -- No redirect Can anyone help me with the redirect rule that I need to write for this. Thanks,

  • Should my web server add trailing slashes to URLs or remove them?

    - by jnm2
I've read in several places that you should decide whether you want trailing slashes or no trailing slashes in your site URLs and stick to your choice consistently. This makes sense, but which should I pick? Is there a convention I ought to follow, performance to be gained, or is it totally up to my taste? (I notice that the StackExchange sites link without trailing slashes, but SE doesn't redirect if you add a slash.)

  • Helicon ISAPI_REWRITE 3 - Not Logging Anything

    - by Brian
Hello, The ISAPI_REWRITE Helicon product does not log anything... I setup logging to run as: [ISAPI_Rewrite] RewriteEngine on #enabling rewrite.log RewriteLogLevel 9 #enabling error.log LogLevel debug But nothing is getting logged. Is it something I'm doing, is it working? It is installed, it's given high priority in IIS (do see it visibly present). Any ideas why it isn't logging? Should it log even if not rewriting?

  • Local links ( in browsers ) on *nix systems

    - by meder
On Windows I can access files directly from the browser ( or at least I have it configured currently, forget if it was native like this ) with the file:// protocol, so I can access files from say the C drive. I'm wondering what the equivalent would be to accessing my files from the browser, if at all possible on a *nix system such as Debian.

  • PHP: Extensionless URLs in IIS7 (windows)? (for wordpress)

    - by smithym
Hi there, I have recently installed wordpress but i would like to configure extensionless URLs .. I am using IIS7 but on a shared server. I presume i cna add something to web.config file?? I am little bit confused, in IIS7 and asp.net mvc it is done via code... but in PHP i don't think it is .... so the only alternative is to use a re-write module but i can't as I am on a shared server and can't install ISAPI stuff.. so I was wondering if there is a way to do the mapping i.e. when going to testme it would actually load testme.php Any advise really appreciated Thanks

  • Zyxel p-2602HW-1DA - LAN to WAN routing problems

    - by Garrett
Hi Got a new router yesterday (due to new internet supplier) and now all my requests for my own server (local lan) is routed directly to the router instead of the server, when using dns. Ex. I have a website www.mysite.org running on my server at home (local lan). From work I can access it via www.mysite.org, which is great. But from home (local lan) my request's for www.mysite.org gets rerouted to the routers web admin interface My last router didn't do this. My new router is a Zyxel P-2602HW-1DA, my old one was a LinkSys WRT-54GC V. 2.0. There's a rather wierd WAN-LAN, WAN-WAN setup interface which I cant really comprehend yet and the docs are rather vague. Have anyone had the same problem and can anyone guide me to a solution, would nice not write the ip address everytime i need to access the server on local lan. :). Kind regards Garrett

  • Nginx Rewrite rules for clean URLs

    - by Sujay
I want to write nginx rewrite rules for clean URLs. Everytime the user hits http://domain.com/abc/12/16/abc-def-ghi I need to execute domain.com/abc.php?a=12&b=16&c=abc-def-ghi. Now my regex is right as per rubular: ^\/abc\/(\d+)\/(\d+)\/(\w+\S+)$ http://rubular.com/regexes/11063 and rule is if (!-e $request_filename) { rewrite ^\/abc\/(\d+)\/(\d+)\/(\w+\S+)$ abc.php?a=$1&b=$2&c=$3 last; } But it is giving "No input File specified". I cant find what the problem is?

  • Deploying concrete5 on nginx

    - by Nithin
I have a concrete5 site that works 'out of the box' in apache server. However I am having a lot of trouble running it in nginx. The following is the nginx configuration i am using: server { root /home/test/public; index index.php; access_log /home/test/logs/access.log; error_log /home/test/logs/error.log; location / { # First attempt to serve request as file, then # as directory, then fall back to index.html try_files $uri $uri/ index.php; # Uncomment to enable naxsi on this location # include /etc/nginx/naxsi.rules } # pass the PHP scripts to FastCGI server listening on unix socket # location ~ \.php($|/) { fastcgi_pass unix:/tmp/phpfpm.sock; fastcgi_split_path_info ^(.+\.php)(/.+)$; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; fastcgi_param PATH_INFO $fastcgi_path_info; include fastcgi_params; } location ~ /\.ht { deny all; } } I am able to get the homepage but am having problem with the inner pages. The inner pages display an "Access denied". Possibly the rewrite is not working, in effect I think its querying and trying to execute php files directly instead of going through the concrete dispatcher. I am totally lost here. Thank you for your help, in advance.
