• iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 4 missing arm architecture

  Ever since I upgraded to iPhone SDK 3.2 beta 4, when I try to compile for device I get a warning for most of my libraries (libxml2.dylib, libobjc.A.dylib etc.) saying that it is missing the required architecture arm in file. Checking the libraries with lipo, I see that they all have arm5-7. Surely someone else had to of run into this.

  In my multithread application I use TThread.suspend and TThread.resume Since moving my application to Delphi 2010 I get the following warring message [DCC Warning] xxx.pas(277): W1000 Symbol ‘Resume’ is deprecated If Resume is deprecated what should be used in place?   I'm using geoalchemy and autoloaded tables, but I'd like to use Elixir, because it has a nicer query syntax. Does anyone know how to get them to work together? I did get it working with this code -- http://pastie.textmate.org/private/y3biyvosuejkrtxbpdv1a -- but that still gives the ugly warning about not recognising the geometry column when the table is reflected. Ideally, what I'd like to do is to get SQLAlchemy's own table reflection to recognise the geometry columns. How would I plumb them together?

  If I use [UIImage imageWithCGImage:], passing in a CGImageRef, do I then release the CGImageRef or does UIImage take care of this itself when it is deallocated? The documentation isn't entirely clear. It says "This method does not cache the image object." Originally I called CGImageRelease on the CGImageRef after passing it to imageWithCGImage:, but that caused a malloc_error_break warning in the Simulator claiming a double-free was occurring.

• How do I use the Windows API Code Pack in VB.net 2010 Express?

  Hi all, I recently downloaded the Windows API code pack for .net, and seeing there was VB.net examples inside there, I opened them up. Upon building I get a warning that the referenced components 'Core' and 'Shell' could not be found. Looking in the code pack folder I see there are no DLLs at all, but instead a whole load of C# sources. Do I have to download C# Express (which I want to avoid) to use the code pack or are there precompiled DLLs somewhere?

  I have put the attribute [FaultContract(typeof(ExceptionDetail))] for my operation contract. When I am trying to add the service th' a client app, I get this error - "Custom tool error: Failed to generate code for the service reference 'ServiceReference1'. Please check other error and warning messages for details." But when I comment out the FaultContract Attribute, I am able to add the wcf service reference th' my client app. Would appreciate if somebody can help me solve this mystery. Thanks

  In Flex 3, we can set the following properties in a container object for deferred instantiation: creationPolicy = "queued" creationIndex = "1" (or "2" or "3" etc.) In Flex 4, for I can find the creationPolicy property but there is no creationIndex - trying to set the creationIndex throws a "deprecated" warning but there is no hint on what to use otherwise Any ideas? • Getting XML data from a external page and parsing it with PHP

  I'm trying to create a database of World of Warcraft gems. If I go to this page: http://www.wowarmory.com/search.xml?fl[source]=all&fl[type]=gems&fl[subTp]=purple&searchType=items And go to View Source in Firefox, I see a tonne of XML data which is exactly what I want.   I've got some text which needs converting to use HTML entities, but it also contains tags. Here's a sample: <p>Ofcom issued the warning to Global-owned GWR in Bristol – which is required to operate as a "contemporary and chart music and information station" – for operating outside the music </p> The (" and -) need to be converted but the paragraph tags must remain HTML. Using something like htmlentities converts everything, how can I convert everything but the tags?

Is there an attribute that I can use to mark a method or a class with a comment that should be shown as a warning in visual studio when I compile?   Codesign warning: provisioning is not applicable for product type 'Application' in SDK Device - iPhone OS3.1'; ignoring.. Redownloaded my developer certificate, made a new provisioning profile, still getting this error. Searched the Xcode project and removed all lines referencing a Provisioning Profile, but that didn't seem to remove it from the project settings (went to show package contents, then opened the project file). Was originally on a different machine then transferred over, if that makes a difference? Thanks

  I have inadvertently svn-deleted a file with svn del --targets del.txt. Now, I'd like to recover that file with svn cat myPreciousFile.txt@4130 > myPreciousFile.txt, but svn gives me a warning that myPreciousFile.txt is not under version control. A svn cat -r 4130 myPreciousFile.txt > myPreciousFile.txt didn't work, either. Can someone please tell me how I'd go about recovering this file again?
