• Microsoft Access DB Connection

  I have a Microsoft Access DB (2003) that I want to connect to it using C# .. The problem I'm facing is I don't have Access installed within the office package .. So I was wondering if it is possible to connect to it as a database to retrieve and update the tables .. Thanks. • Local variable and Try/Catch

  I get an error, a red line below the variable intAge in the if-statement in the code. It says the variable is local, but how could it be local when it is declared in the beginning of the code? Does it have to do with the Try/Catch part? The reason why my code looks like it does, is just beacuse I have to use a Try/Catch in the code for this task. Preciate some suggestions to solve this in a similiar and correct way?   I am having application.html where I used jquery.validate.js and it works fine and submit my data to process.php. But I want if there is an error generated by jquery.validate.js then I know the how many errors generated by validate.js in application.php. I am going to implement if there are number of errors generated then uploading function will be disable. If there is no error generated then uploading function will work. I hope this is simple question but I dont know about jquery much. If you have solution then please share it with me. Cheers!!!

  I need to parse the contents of a string that represents a time period. The format of the string is value/unit, e.g.: 1s, 60min, 24h. I would separate the actual value (an int) and unit (a str) to separated variables. • Installed service starting and then stopping immediatly

  Hey guys, I am trying to install a service with a setup project. So through a normal setup/msi file, the service should be installed in services. So it works, but when i press start, i get the error/fault shown in the picture below. Does anyone know what causes it and most of all how i can solve it? I've read the message, but can't seem to find the origin. I don't know the most common things that would cause this error. Thanks in advance. ps: Other post is not helping to solve the problem

• XAMPP on windows 7 not working properly

  Hey there, I just installed XAMPP lite on Windows 7. I have two drives - C: for the OS and regular files, and an external drive E:. I installed XAMPP lite on E: (on the root), and its been giving me problems. Apache works well enough, but MySQL doesn't work. When I go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin/, it gives me the following error: Error MySQL said: #2003 - Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed. Any ideas as to what could be the problem? I used the zip file for XAMPP lite, the 32 bit version. This is on Windows 7 Home premium. Thanks!

  According to this manual: http://us2.php.net/setcookie I have to set the cookie before anything else. The variables comes from a mysql_query and I have to do the query first. But then, if I do, I will get an error message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by ...   I'm currently converting some python code to C#, and I'm having an issue with the RGBA C# libraries # Original Python Code: d = math.sqrt( (x - size/2.0)**2 + (y - size/2.0)**2 ) rgbVal = int(200*d/md + 50) rgba = (0,0,0, 255 - rgbVal) img.putpixel((x,y), rgba) // My C# Code double d = Math.Sqrt(Math.Pow((x - DotSize / 2.0), 2) + Math.Pow((y - DotSize / 2.0), 2)); int rgbVal = (int) (200 * d / md + 50); Color color = Color.FromArgb(255 - rgbVal, 0, 0, 0); // ** ERROR ** img.SetPixel(x,y, color); At both instances of the code d is equal to 106 and md is equal to 53. However the resulting rgbVal value is 450. This would obviously mean that 255 - 450 is -195, which causes an error to be thrown as each individual value must be between 0 and 255. Anyone have any idea how I can fix this. Please note that the data is the same when running both the python and C# versions.

Table 1 has 1 column called: OldDate which is nvarchar(255), null Table 2 has 1 column called: NewDate which is datetime, not null Example data in Table 1: 26/07/03 NULL NULL 23/07/2003 7/26/2003 NULL 28/07/03 When i try CAST(OldDate as datetime) I get this error: Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type datetime. I need to insert OldDate into NewDate with no errors. I can't skip some rows. Anyhelp would be appreciated.

  Hello, im creating a MVC application thats following a restfull URL approach Im am experiencing the following error... "The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters." This error occurs when my URL length = 225 chars. Surly I can have much longer URL's without this problem and doesn’t this relate to file paths rather than URL's ?   I have NUnit installed at this directory. C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.5.5\bin\net-2.0 I made the directory beneath a GAC. C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\NUnit and copied the nunit.framework.dll, but I got the same error. When I try to run my unit test (mut.dll) in some random directory. I get the following error. I have to copy the mut.dll under the NUnit directory in order to run it. ProcessModel: Default DomainUsage: Single Execution Runtime: net-2.0 Could not load file or assembly 'nunit.framework, Version=2.5.5.10112, Culture=n eutral, PublicKeyToken=96d09a1eb7f44a77' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. What went wrong? How can I install/copy the assembly inside a GAC?

  I'm having two errors when I test the "mysql_connect()" function in php. I just installed PHP and MySQL from scratch.   I'm redirecting a domain to Heroku using a cname. Currently Its working but is giving me an ssl error. Is there a way to turn off ssl on heroku? Heres the SSL Error This is probably not the site you are looking for! You attempted to reach app.grewpr.com, but instead you actually reached a server i identifying itself as *.herokuapp.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version of app.grewpr.com. You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site. When I try to go to http://pure-chamber-1979.herokuapp.com/ it automatically redirects me to the ssl version. Is there a way to turn this off?

  All. I'm trying to use my old dll file on .net project. So I converted this unmanaged COM object to managed one by using [tlbimp.exe] util from Windows SDK. However, one method returns a Object as a return value, but whenever I try to use it, my program generates an error. The weird thing is below: //Object[] item = s.GetObjects(); //this generates an type error Object item = s.GetObjects(); //this works okay System.WriteLine(items); //prints System.Object[] rather than System.Object. It seems like it returns a pointer which contains an object array. Isn't it ? Please anyone tell me how to handle this, and is there any documentation for this issue ?

• Change Google Chrome's Process model?

  See here: http://imgur.com/lKffI.png Does anyone here know how to stop Chrome doing this? Chrome seems to group all tabs I open through the same page into one process. If I copy and paste the links individually into separate tabs, it creates new processes, but when I just middle click links, it groups them into one. I want to force Chrome to create a new process for every tab because when one page locks up, it freezes pretty much all the tabs I have open and if one of the tabs crashes, it takes the rest with it. You can apparently alter Chrome's process model to one called "--process-per-tab" which seems to be what I'm looking for, but when I try and open Chrome with this argument via the terminal, it doesn't work. It's likely I'm not using the correct command; what I tried was: /Applications/"Google Chrome.app"/Contents/MacOS/"Google Chrome" --process-per-tab I'm on OSX and using the latest dev build 5.0.396.0.

  In the app.config file if I use <add key = "FileDelimeter" value ="&#2c;"/> as unicode for COMMA, it is throwing error Invalid character in a decimal number 'c' For SPACE, <add key = "FileDelimeter" value ="&#20;"/> the error is Character'', hex value 0*14 is illegal in xml while <add key = "FileDelimeter" value ="&#09;"/> for "\t" worked. No we did this but for some strange reason it doesnt display a error when a radio button is unchecked.
