• How come $(this) is undefined after ajax call

  I am doing an ajax request when an anchor tag is clicked with an ID set to href. Btw, this anchor tag is dynamically created. <a href="983" class="commentDeleteLink">delete</a> When the anchor tag is clicked the following code is executed: $('.commentDeleteLink').live('click', function(event) { event.preventDefault(); var result = confirm('Proceed?'); if ( result ) { $.ajax({ url: window.config.AJAX_REQUEST, type: "POST", data: { action : 'DELCOMMENT', comment : $('#commentText').val(), comment_id : $(this).attr('href') }, success: function(result) { alert($(this).attr('href')); //$(this).fadeOut(slow); } }); } }); When I tried to display $(this).attr('href') it says it's "undefined". What I really want to do is fadeOut the anchor tag but when I investigated the value of $(this) it is "undefined". What could be wrong with the snippet above?

• jQuery passing an array to an AJAX call

  I have an array: myarr = []; I'm filling it with some values: myarray['name'] = "Me!"; Now I want to transform that array into a set of Key = Value pairs. I though jQuery would do it automatically, but it doesn't seem to. $.ajax ({ type: "POST", dataType: "text", url: "myurl", data: myarr }); Is there a way to do this or something I'm doing wrong? I get no javascript errors, and no serverside errors other then no POST information at all.

• Call c++ library from c#

  Hello All, This question might seem a repeat of previous ones. I have read through a series of posts, but not completely clear for my situation. I have a c++ library which is created using momentics IDE. I have to be able to use this library into a c# project. Someone had been working on this project before being handed over to me. Currently, there are 2 layers for making this possible. First, a c++ project includes the complete library with a c++ wrapper. This project creates a dll as the output. This c++ dll is then fed to a c# project, which has dllimport calls to the c++ dll. This c# project again creates a dll. Finally, in order to use the library in c# application, I have to include a reference to both of these dlls. Is this the correct way to get it working? I was thinking probably there should be a way to simplify the process. Can someone please help me with this question?

• Object is not a function on call to dialog() function

  I keep getting "dialogDiv.dialog is not a function". I'm simply trying to invoke the jQueryUI dialog off my reference to the div. So incoming is the divID, for example "myDiv". Then I set it to a variable and wrap it in $("#" + myDiv); so that now I have a reference to it in a nice clear variable. • python: os.system does not execute shell comand

  I need to execute shell command in python program (I have ubuntu). More specifically I want to create graph using graphviz in python script. My code is os.system("dot -Tpng graph.dot -o graph.png") It does not work, but if I just type dot -Tpng graph.dot -o graph.png in command line then everything is fine. Do you know what the problem? "Fatal error: Call to undefined function readline()" I recently found the below thread which pointed out the name of the package that contained the desired readline: How to solve configure: error: readline library not found? I went ahead and installed # apt-get install libreadline6. But this didnt seem to make a difference. I still get the same error message: "Fatal error: Call to undefined function readline()". • ASP.NET: Why can't I call a web-service twice in one page?

  Hi all! I built a web-application which calls a web-service twice in the application's log-in page - first, on Page_Load, and the second time is after a button click. When debugging, everything goes well, but after publishing the web-application and trying it - I cannot make the two calls for the web-service (each call is invoking a different function in the same web-service). If I call it once (say, in the Page_Load) its OK, but once I get to the button click event, the page just seems to be loading but actually doing nothing (loading to infinity). When I disabled the web-service call in Page_Load, the web-service call after the button click worked well, and if I switched between them (disabled the call in button click and enabled the call in Page_Load) the enabled one worked OK. How come this is happening? What did I do wrong? Could it be related to the fact that the location where I published my web-application has some URL-rewriting rules?
