    I got a basic application where I want the action method of UIBarButtonItem to be in the parent controller. My view has been created programmatically, so I can't use IBAction. RootViewController - NavigationViewController - NavigationView - UIBarButtonItem Here's how have done it for the moment, it works for now... but it's not a really scalable technic (in NavigationView.m): BookAppDelegate *delegate = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; UIBarButtonItem *soundEffects = [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Sound Effects" style:UIBarButtonItemStyleBordered target:[delegate.rootViewController navigationViewController] action:@selector(soundEffectsClicked:)]; What would be a better technic to get the NavigationViewController object?

  • Server 2012 Storage Pools, Raid Controller... can the Storage Pool deal with it?

    Before trying it out - I don't find any documentation. Given that Storage Pools have serious performance problems with parity, and do not rebalance data at the moment when you add discs, my preferred way to use them would be as think provisioned space, ISCSI targets - with every "Pool" running against 1 RAID that comes from a Raid controller (who also introduces SSD read and write caching - another thing missing from Storage Pools). The main question is - how does a Storage Pool handle the change in the underlying disc that can happen? I mostly talk about OCE (Online Capacity Expansion), where a disc after an expansion suddenly reports a larger space. Standard Windows allows you to use this additional space (and expand the partitions). How does a storage pool handle it?

For example: public static void ProcessStep(Action<bool> action) { ProcessStep(() => action(true)); //this is only example, don't bother about hardcoded true } But when I use the second method (the one above), even if original action had attribute, code [1] will not be executed. How can I find if method is only wrapper and underlying method contains attribute and how to access this attribute?

The latter has a URL schema that makes each address very specific. Which is the correct way to do this?

  • Spring mvc: controller returns [][], usable in jsp with foreach, but how to bind?

    I'm building a spring mvc application. Now the problem I have is the following. I have a controller which adds a DayInfo[][] to my ModelMap. (DayInfo has an id, a title (String) and Text(also String). Now the problem I have is that I have no problem displaying this DayInfo[][] with foreach tags in my jsp. However I'm outputting the Title property as an input box(type text), and I'd like to be able to update this value (and thus saving it to be a database but that shouldn't be a problem). However I'm having trouble with binding this value to the input box so that it is actually returned to the controller. If anyone has some advice it would be welcome.

  • Default controller name is removed on browser refresh (CodeigniterPHP/Nginx issue?)

    For all pages in my codeigniter app except my default controller, when I refresh the browser the url isn't affected as one would expect. However for my default controller, main.php, when when I refresh the browser at "http://localhost/main" or "http://mysite.com/main", the main part is stripped off the url. So the browser bar shows just "http://localhost" or "http://mysite.com". Totally lost on where to start with this but was just wondering if anyone has come across this before...? Here's what I think could be the relevant part of my nginx.conf (if Nginx is the problem). if ($request_uri ~* ^(/main(/index)?|/index(.php)?)/?$) { rewrite ^(.*)$ / permanent; }

  • Asp.Net (C#) MVC Routing - Trying avoid using the same controller in different places and think rout

    Hi Guys, I'm currently building a site which has a bunch of main categories and in each category you can perform a search. Basically, I want my addresses to work like this... When the website loads (as in when someone goes to www.mySite.com) it will redirect them to the default category. www.mySite.com/Category Then when you search within a category, the results would come up in a page like the following. www.mySite.com/Category/Search I want to put everything in one controller and have one main view for the Category and one for the Search, I would then render these based on which category is currently being viewed. Can this be done, maybe with routing? I don't want to have to create a different controller for each category as it's just duplicating a lot of the code. Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Codeigniter pre_system hook for DB driven dynamic controller selection - best approach?

    Although I can tentatively see a solution to this, I was wondering if there may be a glaringly obvious simpler approach. My aim is to use the first segment of a given URI to query the DB as to which controller should be run. I assume I would have to reform the URI with the resultant controller name in segment 1, then allow the system to continue processing as normal (hence a pre_system hook). Although not essential I would also like to hold a couple of other variables from the same DB request to be used later in the call stack, and assume this would have to be done using global variables? Any better suggestions would be gladly received. Thanks.

  • iPhone: How do I override the back button in a Navigation Controller?

    Hello, In my app I have a basic Navigation Controller. For all of my views, except one, the controller works as it should. However, for one view in particular, I would like the 'back' button to not go back to the previous view, but to go to one I set. In particular it is going to go back 2 views and skip over one. After doing some research I found that I can intercept the view when it disappears, so I tried to put in code to have it navigate to the page I would like: - (void)viewWillDisappear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewWillDisappear:animated]; //i set a flag to know that the back button was pressed if (viewPushed) { viewPushed = NO; } else { // Here, you know that back button was pressed mainMenu *mainViewController = [[mainMenu alloc] initWithNibName:@"mainMenu" bundle:nil]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:mainViewController animated:YES]; [mainViewController release]; } } That didn't work, so does anyone have any ideas?     I just did a test with the EICAR test virus. I downloaded the file eicar.com Avast was on. If i scan the file it finds it. However if i open it no action is taken. Just nothing. nothing happens i can open it as many times as i want. This is very worrying. The new avast is starting to be a pain. I miss the old one.

    I need to implements splash screen in my honeycomb app. I use this code in activity's onCreate to show splash: setContentView(R.layout.splash); getActionBar().hide(); and this code to show main UI after some time: setContentView(R.layout.main); getActionBar().show(); But before onCreate is called and splash appears, there is small amount of time when action bar shown. How can I made it not to show? I tried to apply theme to activity without action bar: <item name="android:windowActionBar">false</item> but in that case getActionBar() always returns null and I found no way to show it again.

    I am trying to integrate my custom user system with Wordpress, and I have recently asked a question on how to redirect requests to wp-login.php to my own login/registration page, but as I was working on the pluggable functions, I realized that requests to wp-login.php can either be for login, registration, or log out. This is set in the action argument that's made in the request. What I am trying to figure out is how to get this action argument, so I can redirect the request to my custom pages.   • What special configuration is needed to have a domain controller with DNS on a VM in Hyper-V?

    I have a server running Windows Server 2012 and it only has the Hyper-V role. I have a VM also running Windows Server 2012 and it has the Active Directory: Directory Services and DNS ([example.com]) roles. It has been promoted to a domain controller for [example.com]. In the virtualization host I have joined the domain successfully. On a laptop on the network, it can ping my DNS that is inside the VM on the virtualization host. However, it can't resolve anything through the DNS. I figured it was a firewall issue where the DNS had the firewall allow rule, but the virtualization host did not. I added that, but it didn't fix the issue. On my laptop, I get "UnKnown can't find [example.com]: No response from server" immediately. There's no time out, it just comes back right away. What have I overlooked?
