  • sendmail relay status

    - by Andy
Hello all, I have a RHEL3 server with sendmail configured to relay mail to: # "Smart" relay host (may be null) DSmailrelay This relay server is an exchange server not administered by me. A few days ago its IP address was changed without my knowledge so I've updated the correct ip in /etc/hosts for the mail relay entry. Unfortunately no mail is currently going through and maillog reports: Oct 26 14:32:39 fsimag sendmail[12580]: n9Q3VxPA012580: from=root, size=3685, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<~R.*.2009102614315955@*>, relay=root@localhost Oct 26 14:32:39 fsimag sendmail[12580]: n9Q3VxPA012580: to=wodwest@*.net, delay=00:00:40, mailer=esmtp, pri=33685, dsn=4.4.3, stat=queued Oct 26 14:36:09 fsimag sendmail[13670]: n9Q3ZTcf013670: from=root, size=5831, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<~R.medicus.2009102614352914@*>, relay=root@localhost Oct 26 14:36:09 fsimag sendmail[13670]: n9Q3ZTcf013670: to=tsgastro@(.net, delay=00:00:40, mailer=esmtp, pri=35831, dsn=4.4.3, stat=queued Oct 26 14:36:50 fsimag sendmail[13882]: n9Q3aAxj013882: from=root, size=5830, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<~C.medicus.2009102614361009@*>, relay=root@localhost Oct 26 14:36:50 fsimag sendmail[13882]: n9Q3aAxj013882: to=elmwood@*.net, delay=00:00:40, mailer=esmtp, pri=35830, dsn=4.4.3, stat=queued (With domains obscured) The mailq command shows nothing, and I've also tried connecting to this new mail server via telnet and manually sending and reports as being queued but not sent. The administrator of this machine has put it back to me saying he sees no problems, and I just want to cover everything before passing it back to him. Is there any other tests/logs/reasons for sendmail to only report it as "stat=queued" ? I've looked in previous logs and the relay is set to root@localhost in those but none were ever set to queued. Thanks for any help, Andy

  • Search inside of text files

    - by Matt
So here is the situation. I currently run a mail server for my small non-profit company. My mail server (Merak Mail Server) keeps logs in .log files and mail as .tmp files. Essentially these are just text files that are kept on the server. Problem is that when I put text into the "Containing text" field on Windows Explorer, it always misses the files and tells me no results returned. Then when I search the files one by one (painful at best), I find the files I need. Do I not understand the search feature well enough, or maybe I have it indexing wrong. I really don't care what I need to use to search the files, even a third-party app is fine with me, I just want to type an email address into a box and search all of my log files or email files and find out which one I am looking for. It can be Windows Search or something else, as long as I can find a way to get the job done I will be happy. Pay solutions are fine as well. Thanks everyone in advance.

  • How do I determine whether this email bounce is my fault?

    - by David Zaslavsky
I use Google Apps to handle email for my personal website, so I have an email address [email protected] through that, and I also have a Gmail account [email protected]. Now, I've been trying to send emails to a particular recipient who shall be known as [email protected]. When I send the email from my Gmail account with the @gmail.com address, it works fine. However, when I send it from my Google Apps account with the @ellipsix.net address, I get a bounce message which includes the following text: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [email protected] Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 mail server permanently rejected message (#5.3.0) (state 17). The bounce message suggests that it is up to the mail administrator of the recipient domain example.com to fix the problem, whatever it is. But I would like to be as sure as possible that nothing needs to be fixed on my end. I already have DKIM signatures enabled for my domain, and I have published an SPF DNS record. Is there something else I should check or do, or can I be confident that it's up to the recipient to fix this issue? Does the "state 17" in the bounce message mean something relevant? I've included my domain name in the question so people who know more than me about this stuff can independently check the relevant DNS records or other information. This other question seems similar, but I've already investigated everything suggested in the answers there (except for contacting Google, which I don't want to do unless I suspect it's their issue to fix).

  • My email server is being blocked by Yahoo: TS03 Message permanently deferred.

    - by bilygates
Hello, My mail server has been getting the following error from Yahoo's mail servers since about a month: postfix/smtp[23791]: host g.mx.mail.yahoo.com[98.137.54.238] refused to talk to me: 421 4.7.1 [TS03] All messages from [my ip] will be permanently deferred; Retrying will NOT succeed. See http:// postmaster.yahoo.com/421-ts03.html I have exchanged about 4 emails with Yahoo's support team. The first three seemed like automated messages, and the 4th told me that there is nothing they can do, but if I change my policies I can send them another email in 6 months. They also told me: However, based on the information you have provided us, we cannot systematically deliver your email to the Inbox at this time. We suggest that you ask your users to set up a filter in Yahoo! Mail to ensure that they get your email messages in their Inbox. The problem is that my email doesn't even get to their Spam folder. The server won't allow any connections. I have never sent spam messages, not even newsletters. I only send emails for my new users so they can activate their account. I've also implemented DKIM and told Yahoo about this. I have checked my configuration with http://www.myiptest.com/staticpages/index.php/DomainKeys-DKIM-SPF-Validator-test and it reports that both SPF and DKIM are set up correctly. What should I do? Basically, I'm losing new users every day. Any help will be appreciated. P.S.: I apologize if this particular question has already been asked. I searched for it but didn't find it.

  • Bounce backs from web-generated e-mails are missing

    - by JerSchneid
We use Google Apps to host my company's mail. On our website, we send some e-mails on behalf of our users. In those e-mails we include lines like this: Return-Path: <[email protected]> Sender: <[email protected]> Sending the messages works great (passes SPF tests), but in the case that the message is sent TO an invalid e-mail address, we expect to get a bounce back message sent to "[email protected]". That message never arrives. (If we send an e-mail manually from within the gmail interface to the same bad e-mail, the message does arrive). We used to receive the bounce back messages as expected, but it seems like they are always quietly blocked now (not in spam or anything). Is there a new policy that blocks bounce backs when the "From" does not match the "Return-Path" or something? We would really like to get these bounce-backs to verify the delivery of the messages. Is there any way to prevent them from being blocked?! Thank you!

  • Postfix Relay to Office365

    - by woodsbw
I am trying to setup a Postfix server on a Linux box to relay all mail to our Office365 (Exchange, hosted by Microsoft) mail server, but, I keep getting an error regarding the sending address: BB338140DC1: to= relay=pod51010.outlook.com[157.56.234.118]:587, delay=7.6, delays=0.01/0/2.5/5.1, dsn=5.7.1, status=bounced (host pod51010.outlook.com[157.56.234.118] said: 550 5.7.1 Client does not have permissions to send as this sender (in reply to end of DATA command)) Office 365 requires that the sending address in the MAIL FROM and From: header be the same as the address used to authenticate. I have tried everything I can think of in the config to get this working. My postconf -n: append_dot_mydomain = no biff = no config_directory = /etc/postfix debug_peer_list = 127.0.0.1 inet_interfaces = loopback-only inet_protocols = all mailbox_size_limit = 0 mydestination = xxxxx, localhost.localdomain, localhost myhostname = localhost mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 recipient_delimiter = + relay_domains = our.doamin relayhost = [pod51010.outlook.com]:587 sender_canonical_classes = envelope_sender sender_canonical_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sender_canonical smtp_always_send_ehlo = yes smtp_sasl_auth_enable = yes smtp_sasl_mechanism_filter = login smtp_sasl_password_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/sasl_passwd smtp_sasl_security_options = smtp_tls_CAfile = /etc/postfix/cacert.pem smtp_tls_loglevel = 1 smtp_tls_security_level = may smtp_tls_session_cache_database = btree:${data_directory}/smtp_scache smtpd_banner = $myhostname ESMTP $mail_name (Ubuntu) smtpd_tls_session_cache_database = btree:${data_directory}/smtpd_scache smtpd_use_tls = yes sender_canonical: www-data [email protected] root [email protected] www-data@localhost [email protected] root@localhost [email protected] Also, sasl_passwd is set to the correct credentials (tested them using swaks multiple times.) Authentication works, and sends the message when the from headers are correct (also tested using swaks....which works) The emails are coming from PHP, so I have also tried altering the sendmail path in php.ini to use pass the correct from address via -f So, for some reason, mail coming from www-data and root are not having the from fields rewritten to Office 365's satisfaction, and it won't send the message. Any postfix gurus out there that can help me setup this relay?

  • Set scheduled task last result to 0x0 manually

    - by Rogier
Every night a task runs that checks if any scheduled task has a Last Result is not equal to 0x0. If a scheduled tasks has an error like 0x1, then automatically an e-mail is sent to me. As some tasks are running only weekly, and sometimes an error occurs which results in not equal to 0x0, every night an e-mail is sent with the error message, as the Last Result column still shows the last result of 0x1. But I would like to set the Last Result column to 0x0 manually if I solved a problem, so I won't get every night an e-mail with the error message. So is it possible to set the scheduled tasks Last Result to 0x0 manually (or by a script)? @harrymc. See located script underneath that is sending the e-mail. I can easily add a criteria to ignore result 0x1 (or another code), however this is not the solution as most of the times this result is a real error and has to be e-mailed. set [email protected] set SMTPServer=SMTPserver set PathToScript=c:\scripts set [email protected] for /F "delims=" %%a in ('schtasks /query /v /fo:list ^| findstr /i "Taskname Result"') do call :Sub %%a goto :eof :Sub set Line=%* set BOL=%Line:~0,4% set MOL=%Line:~38% if /i %BOL%==Task ( set name=%MOL% goto :eof ) set result=%MOL% echo Task Name=%name%, Task Result=%result% if not %result%==0 ( echo Task %name% failed with result %result% > %PathToScript%\taskcheckerlog.txt bmail %PathToScript%\taskcheckerlog.txt -t %YourEmailAddress% -a "Warning! • Outlook 2007, how to stop replies from being sent if they meet criteria

    - by CChriss
I have my college's email account auto-forwarded (they don't offer pop3 or imap) to my main gmail account so I don't have to go to their website to check for mail. That gmail account, and others, use pop3 down to my Outlook 2007. In my Outlook, I have a rule that puts mail sent to my @college address into a folder named Collegemail. Since the college email system lacks pop3 or imap, I have to go to their site to send a reply, so that the reply will be sent from my @college email address. The problem is that I cannot seem to get into the habit of going to my college's website to reply to those emails, so quite often I reply to them while in Outlook, which means my replies are sent "from" my main gmail address. How can I set up Outlook to either 1) disable replying to emails in the Collegemail folder or to emails where my college email address is in the original To: line, or else 2) set it to send those replies from a non-functional dummy account. The dummy account would be unable to send the email so the email would be stuck in the Outbox. (I already have the non-functional dummy account set up as Outlook's "Default" account. When I compose a new mail I have to deliberately pick one of my good accounts to send the new mail with, or else Outlook uses the default dummy account and the email stays in the Outbox with a Send error.) Thanks. Update: Anybody? Please help.

  • Multi-IP address zimbra server DNS PTR records and spam

    - by David Fraser
We have a mail server running Zimbra (ZCS 6.0.8). The server has 5 active public IP addresses in the same subnet. (.226-.230). I currently have A records for each of these (host0.domain.com..host4.domain.com), with the main host.domain.com of the machine pointing to .226. Our host has ended up being listed on the SORBS DUHL list (even though it's in a server farm). According to them you can get removed quickly by checking that your host has an MX record, an A record, and a PTR record that points back to the hostname given in the MX record. I tried setting the PTR records so that each of these addresses resolved back to their A record (i.e. .228 had a PTR to host2.domain.com). However, I then got mail being rejected from other servers because when Postfix (under Zimbra control) sends out mail, it uses the main hostname for the HELO - there doesn't seem to be any way to override it. So the PTR records currently say host.domain.com for all 5 IP addresses. What's the correct way to handle this? Should I have an A record for the domain that points to all the IP addresses (for round-robin handling)? I'm nervous of changes that could cause problems, so I'm wondering what the standard way to handle a multiple-IP-address mail server is.

  • Configuration Help for Sendmail Required

    - by Vinayak Mahadevan
Hi I need some help with respect to sendmail configuration. The basic problem is that I have some employees working from other places and they need access to their mail. So what I have done right now is whatever mails which are meant for them which are generated from within the company and collected by my internal mail server is bounced to an external mail server from where the employees access it. This is done through a email id on a different domain. This was working fine till I restricted the external mailing access for certain users using rulesets in sendmail.cf. Once I had put that in place only people who had external mailing rights could send mails to people outside the office. What I would like to know is that is there anyway where I can expose sendmail on two different ips and thereby configure everybody's email id to point to the same internal mail server using 2 different ips. one ip when inside the company and one ip outside the company. Is it possible that I have one static ip configured for both internal access and external access or is there any otherway it can be done with sendmail. Can anybody help me Sorry for the long post Regards Vinayak

  • Configure PEAR on CentOS 6 and PLESK

    - by RCNeil
I'm hoping to get a little assistance with configuring PEAR to work properly. I have a PHP file that's calling PEAR's mail and mail-mime files, and I believe I am missing some steps because I keep getting the very common Warning: include_once(Mail.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory Warning: include_once(Mail_Mime/mime.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory It is installed - Installed packages, channel pear.php.net: ========================================= Package Version State Archive_Tar 1.3.7 stable Console_Getopt 1.2.3 stable Mail 1.2.0 stable Mail_Mime 1.8.3 stable PEAR 1.9.4 stable Structures_Graph 1.0.4 stable XML_RPC 1.5.4 stable XML_Util 1.2.1 stable And according to this TUT, I need to configure it appropriately in each vhost. I have already gone through and adjusted the php.ini file, but when the TUT speaks of the php_admin_value open_basedir "/var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs:/tmp:/usr/share/pear:/local/PEAR" in my /var/www/vhosts/example.com/conf/httpd.include file I kind of get lost. There are several httpd.include files in that directory, all preceded with very long numerical strings. All I want to do is have an email attachment in my form.... Any insight or similar experiences shared would be greatly appreciated.

  • Haproxy ACL for balance on URL request

    - by Elgreco08
I'm usung Ubuntu with haproxy 1.4.13 version. Its load balancing two subdomains: app1.domain.com app2.domain.com now i want to be able to use ACL to send based on url request to the right backends For example: http://app1.domain.com/path/games/index.php sould be send to backend1 http://app1.domain.com/path/photos/index.php should be send to backend2 http://app2.domain.com/path/mail/index.php sould be send to backend3 http://app2.domain.com/path/wazap/index.php should be send to backend4 i did used the code the the following acl frontend http-farm bind 0.0.0.0:80 acl app1web hdr_beg(host) -i app1 # for http://app1.domain.com acl app2web hdr_beg(host) -i app2 # for http://app2.domain.com acl msg-url-1 url_reg ^\/path/games/.* acl msg-url-2 url_reg ^\/path/photos/.* acl msg-url-3 url_reg ^\/path/mail/.* acl msg-url-4 url_reg ^\/path/wazap/.* use_backend games if msg-url-1 app1web use_backend photos if msg-url-2 app2web use_backend mail if ..... backend games option httpchk GET /alive.php HTTP/1.1\r\nHost:\ app1.domain.com option forwardfor balance roundrobin server appsrv-1 192.168.1.10:80 check inter 2000 fall 3 server appsrv-2 192.168.1.11:80 check inter 2000 fall 3 backend photos option httpchk GET /alive.php HTTP/1.1\r\nHost:\ app2.domain.com option forwardfor balance roundrobin server appsrv-1 192.168.1.13:80 check inter 2000 fall 3 server appsrv-2 192.168.1.14:80 check inter 2000 fall 3 .... Since the path mail, photos...etc will be application pools on iis, i want to monitor them if they are alive, if the pool does not respond it should stop serving it. my problem is for sure in the regular expression in the ACL acl msg-url-4 url_reg ^\/path/wazap/.* What should i change in the ACL to make it work ? thanks for any hints

I installed zarafa on my vserver and use as MTA postfix. The webaccess works fine, I can revceive and send emails, also receiving mails with thunderbird (IMAP ssl/tls) works. • ddclient to update namecheap subdomain?

  • DKIM- Filter No Signature Data

  • Postfix "loops back to myself" error on relay to another IP address on same machine

    - by Nic Wolff
I'm trying to relay all mail for one domain "ourdomain.tld" from Postfix running on port 2525 of one interface to another SMTP server running on port 25 of another interface on the same machine. However, when a message is received for that domain, we're getting a "mail for loops back to myself" error. Below are netstat and postconf, the contents of our /etc/postfix/transport file, and the error that Postfix is logging. (The high bytes of each IP address are XXXed out.) Am I missing something obvious? • Local references to old server name remain after Windows 2003 server rename

    - by imagodei
I have a standalone Win 2003 server with Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS3) running on it. I had to rename the server and I had bunch of problems resulting from this. Note that the server is not in AD environment. Most obvious problems were with Sharepoint, which didn't work. I was somewhat naive to think it will work in the first place, but OK - I've solved this using step 1 & 3 from this site (TNX) Other curious behavior/problems remain. Most disturbing is that Sharepoint isn't able to send email notifications to participants. I noticed there are several references to old server name everywhere I look: in Registry, in Windows Internal Database (MICROSOFT##SSEE). I see instances of old server name in the Sharepoint Central Administration - Operations - Servers in farm. There is reference to a servers: oldname.domain.local oldname.local On one of those servers there is also Windows SharePoint Services Outgoing E-Mail Service (Stopped). Also, when I try to telnet locally to the mail server (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) service), I get a response: 220 oldname.domain.local Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 6.0.3790.4675 ready at Tue, 15 Jun 2010 13:56:19 +0200 IMO these strange naming problems are also the reason why email notifications from within Sharepoint don't work. Can anyone tell me how to correct/replace those references to oldservername? Why is the email service insisting on old name? Of course I would like to try it without reinstalling the server. TNX!

  • Dovecot authentification not working

    - by user1488723
I run a Ubuntu 10.04 VPS with Postfix and Dovecot installed. For a while I had problems with the mailserver itself (Postfix) but now it runs ok. I can telnet into it from localhost (telnet localhost 25 while logged in) and Im blocked if I try to do it from the outside (telnet mail.example.org 25). This is as it should be according to my main.cf However when I try to log in using Dovecot (openssl s_client -connect mail.example.com:993) I'm allowed in but denied when trying to identify myself as a user: Excerpt from Dovecot log in: Key-Arg : None Start Time: 1341074622 Timeout : 300 (sec) Verify return code: 18 (self signed certificate) OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 LITERAL+ SASL-IR LOGIN-REFERRALS ID ENABLE AUTH=PLAIN AUTH=LOGIN] Dovecot ready. When I continue and try to log in to a specific user with the command: A001 login user password I get: A001 NO [AUTHENTICATIONFAILED] Authentication failed. I've reset the password to ensure it is correct and I know the user (user) exists on the system. When I do /etc/init.d/dovecot reload I get: /etc/init.d/dovecot: 29: maildir:~/Maildir: not found * Reloading IMAP/POP3 mail server dovecot [ OK ] Could it be that the mailboxes isn't found? • Configure Domino to use SMTP routing and hMailServer

    - by Sébastien Lachance
I have been trying for a couple of days to set up a Domino 8.5 server. Basically, I want everything to be run inside a local network. Right now I can send email to other user in the Domino directory without any mail address. I am pretty new to all this stuff, so maybe the answer will be really obvious. What I need to do is be able to send a mail from somewhere else to a domino user that will be redirected to his account. On the Domino server, I also have hMailServer installed on port 25. I configured Domino to use port 26. I followed those step to get where I am now. -I have set the Fully qualified Internet host name to "preview.notes". -Smtp Listener task changed to Enabled to turn on the Listener so that the server can receive messages routed via SMTP routing -Setting up SMTP routing within the local Internet domain (http://www.h2l.com/help/help85%5Fadmin.nsf/f4b82fbb75e942a6852566ac0037f284/7f9738a49efc4f58852574d500097b01?OpenDocument) -I modified the person to use the [email protected] address. -I'm using the hMailServer (which have the local "preview.local" domain name) to send mail to [email protected]. When sending mail I got an error telling that the DNS is not set up correctly. Is using the Domino Smtp server instead of hMailServer will solve the problem? I can Telnet the Domino Smtp Server.

  • ubuntu 10.04 + php + postfix

    - by mononym
    I have a server I am running: Ubuntu 10.04 php 5.3.5 (fpm) Nginx I have installed postfix, and set it to loopback-only (only need to send) The problem is it is not sending. if i issue (at command line): echo "testing local delivery" | mail -s "test email to localhost" [email protected] I get the email no problem, but through PHP it does not arrive. When I send it via PHP, mail.log shows: Mar 28 10:15:04 host postfix/pickup[32102]: 435EF580D7: uid=0 from=<root> Mar 28 10:15:04 host postfix/cleanup[32229]: 435EF580D7: message-id=<20120328091504.435EF580D7@FQDN> Mar 28 10:15:04 host postfix/qmgr[32103]: 435EF580D7: from=<root@FQDN>, size=1127, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Mar 28 10:15:04 host postfix/local[32230]: 435EF580D7: to=<root@FQDN>, orig_to=<root>, relay=local, delay=3.1, delays=3/0.01/0/0.09, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to maildir) Mar 28 10:15:04 host postfix/qmgr[32103]: 435EF580D7: removed any help appreciated, my main.cf file: smtpd_banner = $myhostname ESMTP $mail_name (Debian/GNU) biff = no # appending .domain is the MUA's job. append_dot_mydomain = no # Uncomment the next line to generate "delayed mail" warnings #delay_warning_time = 4h readme_directory = no # TLS parameters smtpd_tls_cert_file=/etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem smtpd_tls_key_file=/etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.key smtpd_use_tls=yes smtpd_tls_session_cache_database = btree:${data_directory}/smtpd_scache smtp_tls_session_cache_database = btree:${data_directory}/smtp_scache # See /usr/share/doc/postfix/TLS_README.gz in the postfix-doc package for # information on enabling SSL in the smtp client. myhostname = FQDN alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliasesalias_database = hash:/etc/aliases myorigin = /etc/mailname #myorigin = $mydomain mydestination = FQDN, localhost.FQDN, , localhost relayhost = $mydomain mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 [::ffff:127.0.0.0]/104 [::1]/128 mailbox_size_limit = 0 recipient_delimiter = + inet_interfaces = loopback-only virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual home_mailbox = mail/

  • sbs-server with 2 nics and 2 connections to the internet with different providers not working as it

    - by erik-van-gorp
We have the following configuration : A sbs-2003 server in a domain (mydomain.com) with 2 network cards, each connected to a different network (provider), with different gateways, one for web and one for mail and clients. (we do this because the bandwitdh we get from our providers is too small to handle all the mail(+spam) traffic and webservices, so we took 2 providers) DNS is as follows : www.mydomain.com 1.2.3.4 mail.mydomain.com 5.6.7.8 NIC 1(192.168.1.3) is connected to to the internet through a firewall at 192.168.1.1, having wan address 1.2.3.4 NIC 2(10.0.0.3) is connected to to the internet through a firewall at 10.0.0.1, having wan address 5.6.7.8 Both nics have their default gateway installed at their corresponding routers. Also the metrics are set equal. (i know this isn't a supported config, but it works more or less). In this configuration i can use RDP on both wan adresses, and telnet to port 25 works as well on both. The issue now is that since a few weeks , we get regular disconnections, and website hickups(timeouts), several per hour. If we set one router to a higher metric, that route no longer works. In short, I want the mails to route through NIC2 and the web through NIC1. Any better configuration (without installing a second mail server) ?

  • SPF for two different outgoing servers?

    - by Marcus
I have ran into a problem that I think someone should have a really clever answer for. Today we have our own mailserver that looks like "mail.domain.com" – which we use to send out mail to our customers (with a modified PHPMailer script). Usually around 5000 mails every day. Everything from customer support to invoices goes through there. The from-header is set to "[email protected]". We are now thinking of migrating to Google Apps for internal use (with 70+ users). However, we cannot use Gmails SMTP for sending "bulk" mails (they have a limit of 500 outgoing mails per day) so we really want to keep using our current system for sending automated mail to our customers – and using gmails SMTP for our internal use. So, how do we set up our SPF-records (Sender Policy Framework) for this? We do not want to get stuck in any filters for "spoofing" the sender from either type of account (the ones sent from our own server, and through Gmails). In short: we want to be able to use the same e-mail adress (for sending) on two different SMTP servers (and therefore two different IP-adresses). Anyone with a good knowledge off SPF who knows how to go about? Or if it is even possible? Anything else I should think of when switching to Google Apps?
