    Can someone please help as i've spent all day trying to fix this. I installed the latest XAMPP and now i can't connect to mysql from terminal.I checked my .profile file and the PATH seems ok. Does anyone know whats happened and what's the solution? PATH=$PATH:/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/bin export PATH THIS IS A PROGRAMMING QUESTION AS I'M A PHP DEVELOPER TRYING TO DO MY JOB! Using differential back up while clients are connected and making full backup during maintenance window only c. Run replication and back-up the replica, stopping and restoring duplication services in points 4 and 7 and feel that it is actually hopeless.

  • Windows Server 2012 and Ubuntu 12.04.1 under Hyper-V

    I've set up an instance of Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS under Hyper-V 2012. However it seems to be nondeterministic as to whether or not it completes the boot process. I get a Kernel Panic, "IO-APIC + timer doesn't work!", which from my research is caused by not having integration services correctly installed? It was my understanding that the integration services were all now baked into the kernel? It should then be fine to update the OS (including any kernel updates, as I'm guessing that's what has happened) Being able to rely on this successfully booting would be great as I intend on using ssh for crisis situations.

I need to reboot the server to solve, or it crash again due to the high load. But it looks that the solution is just to update the kernel or disk driver, thinks that I don't know how to do.   • Com port redirection from Windows 7 to Windows Server 2008 R2

    We use "Copy file.prn to \tsclient\com1" to print from a TS session to a locally attached serial printer. This works fine from Windows XP, but when trying it from a Windows 7 client computer, we get an "Access is denied" error message. And yes, the check box of COM port is selected on the Local Resources tab of the Remote Desktop Connection client. Any pointers? Has anyone even managed to do this successfully?

  • Linux server cannot be pinged

    I have set up a Linux server in DMZ. There is another Windows server running in same DMZ. These two servers can be pinged via internet using my home PC. However, the another Linux server rented from a hosting service provider can only be pinged from the Windows Server and not from the Linux server (accessed via internet). So the situation is: Windows server (DMZ) ---ping--- Rented Server.....Successful Linux server (DMZ) ---ping--- Rented Server.......Unreachable Home PC ---ping--- Linux server (DMZ).......Successful Home PC ---ping--- Windows server (DMZ).....Successful When I ran tcpdump on my Linux Server(DMZ) and started ping from Rented Server, it showed that the Linux Server(DMZ) is receiving ping and replying. There is no restriction defined in hosts.deny and hosts.allow file that might cause this problem. What else should I check to get this working?

I'm on SecurityAdmin role and when I try to execute xp_readerrorlog I get a following error: Msg 229, Level 14, State 5, Procedure xp_readerrorlog, Line 1 The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'xp_readerrorlog', database 'mssqlsystemresource', schema 'sys'. What I'm missing? Can this role read error logs or not?

    We have a number of machines which record data into a database at sporadic intervals. For each record, I'd like to obtain the time period between this recording and the previous recording. I can do this using ROW_NUMBER as follows: WITH TempTable AS ( SELECT *, ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY Machine_ID ORDER BY Date_Time) AS Ordering FROM dbo.DataTable ) SELECT [Current].*, Previous.Date_Time AS PreviousDateTime FROM TempTable AS [Current] INNER JOIN TempTable AS Previous ON [Current].Machine_ID = Previous.Machine_ID AND Previous.Ordering = [Current].Ordering + 1 The problem is, it goes really slow (several minutes on a table with about 10k entries) - I tried creating separate indicies on Machine_ID and Date_Time, and a single joined-index, but nothing helps. Is there anyway to rewrite this query to go faster?

In Windows 2008 R2 that doesn't work and theres no item in the Control Panel to configure Outlook 2010 Profiles. I already tried with: Mail and Mail(32-bit). How can I get these backup processes to stop so they release resources? Simply killing the processes doesn't work. The process will stay in KILL/ROLL for a long time. This didn't change for several hours.
