Hi! I have a site in SharePoint and I want to custom delete from a list. So, I'm creating the public class ListItemEventReceiver : SPItemEventReceiver { public override void ItemDeleting(SPItemEventProperties properties) { if (properties.ListTitle.Equals("Projects List")) { Projects pr = new Projects(); string projectName = properties.ListItem["Project Name"].ToString(); pr.DeleteProject(projectName); } } } Where 'Projects' class has 'DeleteProject' method who deletes the item. • Howto serialize a List<T> in Silverlight?

    - by Jurgen
I have a struct called coordinate which is contained in a list in another class called segment. public struct Coordinate { public double Latitude { get; set; } public double Longtitude { get; set; } public double Altitude { get; set; } public DateTime Time { get; set; } } public class Segment { private List<Coordinate> coordinates; ... } I'd like to serialize the Segment class using the XmlSerializer using Silverlight (on Windows Phone 7). I understand from link text that XmlSerializer doesn't support List<T>. What is the advised way of serializing a resizable array coordinates? Thanks, Jurgen

  • DataModelSelection on list exposed via EntityQuery

    - by Kalpana
Is it possible to have support for enabling DataModelSelection on a list page paginated via EntityQuery? (All the examples load the list by performing a query on the @Factory method). But, I would like to re-use the existing pagination mechanism and just enable the ability to support DataModelSelection on it. I am also assuming that DataModelSelection is capable of tracking a single row in a List, how do we extend this to support a certain action (say deletion, activation ...) of multiple rows. I am a newbie and would appreciate any help on this topic. I have already gone through the samples shipped as part of Seam (booking, message). I have already posted this in seam users forum, but I am yet to get a response

  • Prolog Program for a recordings database

    - by RP
I have three types of facts: album(code, artist, title, date). songs(code, songlist). musicians(code, list). Example: album(123, 'Rolling Stones', 'Beggars Banquet', 1968). songs(123, ['Sympathy for the Devil', 'Street Fighting Man']). musicians(123, [[vocals, 'Mick Jagger'], [guitar, 'Keith Richards', 'Brian Jones']]. I need to create these 4 rules: together(X,Y) This succeeds if X and Y have played on the same album. artistchain(X,Y) This succeeds if a chain of albums exists from X to Y; two musicians are linked in the chain by 'together'. role(X,Y) This succeeds if X had role Y (e.g. guitar) ever. song(X,Y) This succeeds if artist X recorded song Y. Any help?

  • Issue converting Sitecore Item[] using ToList<T>

    - by philba888
Working with Sitecore and Linq extensions. I am trying to convert to from an item array to the list using the following piece of code: Item variationsFolder = masterDB.SelectSingleItem(VariationsFolderID.ToString()); List<Item> variationList = variationsFolder.GetChildren().ToList<Item>(); However I keep getting this error whenever I try to build: 'Sitecore.Collections.ChildList' does not contain a definition for 'ToList' and the best extension method overload 'System.Linq.Enumerable.ToList<TSource>(System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable<TSource>)' has some invalid arguments I have the following usings: using System.Linq; using System.Xml.Linq; Am referencing: System.Core I've just copied this code from another location, so it should work fine, can only think that there is something simple (like a reference or something that I am missing).

  • Get list of Unique many-to-many records from a queryset

    - by rsp
My models: class Order(models.Model): ordered_by = models.ForeignKey(User) reasons = models.ManyToManyField(Reason) class Reason(models.Model): description = models.CharField() Basically a user creates an order and gives reasons for that order. ie, john has two orders (one for pencils because he is out AND because he doesn't like his current stock. a second order for pens because he is out). I want to print a list out of all reasons a user has placed his orders. So under john, it should print "he is out", "he doesn't like his current stock"; those two lines only. If I simply select all of john's orders, iterate through them and print out their "reasons" it'll print "he is out", "he doesn't like his current stock" and then "he is out" again. I don't want these duplicate values. How do I select a list of his reasons for ALL his orders so that the list has all unique rows?

  • How can I drag from a connected vertical list to the first item of a another list below with jQueryUI Sortable?

    - by Denis Hoctor
Hi all, I have have several ULs vertically down a page. They are setup using jQueryUI's sortable(). My live example is: http://jsfiddle.net/pborreli/pJgyu/ I can drag from answers to make it the final element in questions. But when I drag from questions to answers the placeholder jumps to the second item in the questions list. At that point I can then drag it to the top. Any ideas why I am having this issue dragging from a list above to the first element of a list below? I've tried editing the padding and margin on both the lists and the sortable items. Thanks, Denis

  • Easy way to Populate a Dictionary<string,List<string>>

    - by zion
    Greetings Guru's, my objective is to create a Dictionary of Lists, does a simpler technique exist? I prefer the List(t) to IEnumerable(t) which is why I chose the Dictionary of Lists over Ilookup or IGrouping. The code works but it seems like a messy way of doing things. string[] files = Directory.GetFiles (@"C:\test"); Dictionary<string,List<string>> DataX = new Dictionary<string,List<string>>(); foreach (var group in files.GroupBy (file => Path.GetExtension (file))) { DataX.Add (group.Key, group.ToList()); }

Hi all, is it possible to map a string field with a particular format like: aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd into a List having elements [aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd] using iBatis? What I need is to have in my model something like: public class Request{ private List<String> fieldOne; public List<String> getFieldOne(){....} public void setFieldOne(){....} } even if in my table the field is a simple string. Is this possible? Thanks Roberto

  • Access 2007 VBA : Building a listbox with selection choices from another list box

    - by Justin
So there are 8 categories that may be associated to each order, but not necessarily all of them. So i was going to build a list box that allowed the user to double click each of the category they wish to associate when they have an "Order Detail" form opened up (unbound form that has hidden text boxes with all needed ID numbers). I want to have another empty text box right beside it that will allow me to append the selections (up to 8) so the user can see that they have been added. So one list box with the default choices, and when a choice is double clicked, it adds that choice to the second list box to see the tally so to speak. What is the VB for getting something like this done? Thanks Justin

  • Of these 3 methods for reading linked lists from shared memory, why is the 3rd fastest?

    - by Joseph Garvin
I have a 'server' program that updates many linked lists in shared memory in response to external events. I want client programs to notice an update on any of the lists as quickly as possible (lowest latency). The server marks a linked list's node's state_ as FILLED once its data is filled in and its next pointer has been set to a valid location. Until then, its state_ is NOT_FILLED_YET. I am using memory barriers to make sure that clients don't see the state_ as FILLED before the data within is actually ready (and it seems to work, I never see corrupt data). Also, state_ is volatile to be sure the compiler doesn't lift the client's checking of it out of loops. Keeping the server code exactly the same, I've come up with 3 different methods for the client to scan the linked lists for changes. The question is: Why is the 3rd method fastest? Method 1: Round robin over all the linked lists (called 'channels') continuously, looking to see if any nodes have changed to 'FILLED': void method_one() { std::vector<Data*> channel_cursors; for(ChannelList::iterator i = channel_list.begin(); i != channel_list.end(); ++i) { Data* current_item = static_cast<Data*>(i->get(segment)->tail_.get(segment)); channel_cursors.push_back(current_item); } while(true) { for(std::size_t i = 0; i < channel_list.size(); ++i) { Data* current_item = channel_cursors[i]; ACQUIRE_MEMORY_BARRIER; if(current_item->state_ == NOT_FILLED_YET) { continue; } log_latency(current_item->tv_sec_, current_item->tv_usec_); channel_cursors[i] = static_cast<Data*>(current_item->next_.get(segment)); } } } Method 1 gave very low latency when then number of channels was small. But when the number of channels grew (250K+) it became very slow because of looping over all the channels. So I tried... Method 2: Give each linked list an ID. Keep a separate 'update list' to the side. Every time one of the linked lists is updated, push its ID on to the update list. Now we just need to monitor the single update list, and check the IDs we get from it. void method_two() { std::vector<Data*> channel_cursors; for(ChannelList::iterator i = channel_list.begin(); i != channel_list.end(); ++i) { Data* current_item = static_cast<Data*>(i->get(segment)->tail_.get(segment)); channel_cursors.push_back(current_item); } UpdateID* update_cursor = static_cast<UpdateID*>(update_channel.tail_.get(segment)); while(true) { if(update_cursor->state_ == NOT_FILLED_YET) { continue; } ::uint32_t update_id = update_cursor->list_id_; Data* current_item = channel_cursors[update_id]; if(current_item->state_ == NOT_FILLED_YET) { std::cerr << "This should never print." << std::endl; // it doesn't continue; } log_latency(current_item->tv_sec_, current_item->tv_usec_); channel_cursors[update_id] = static_cast<Data*>(current_item->next_.get(segment)); update_cursor = static_cast<UpdateID*>(update_cursor->next_.get(segment)); } } Method 2 gave TERRIBLE latency. Whereas Method 1 might give under 10us latency, Method 2 would inexplicably often given 8ms latency! Using gettimeofday it appears that the change in update_cursor-state_ was very slow to propogate from the server's view to the client's (I'm on a multicore box, so I assume the delay is due to cache). So I tried a hybrid approach... Method 3: Keep the update list. But loop over all the channels continuously, and within each iteration check if the update list has updated. If it has, go with the number pushed onto it. If it hasn't, check the channel we've currently iterated to. void method_three() { std::vector<Data*> channel_cursors; for(ChannelList::iterator i = channel_list.begin(); i != channel_list.end(); ++i) { Data* current_item = static_cast<Data*>(i->get(segment)->tail_.get(segment)); channel_cursors.push_back(current_item); } UpdateID* update_cursor = static_cast<UpdateID*>(update_channel.tail_.get(segment)); while(true) { for(std::size_t i = 0; i < channel_list.size(); ++i) { std::size_t idx = i; ACQUIRE_MEMORY_BARRIER; if(update_cursor->state_ != NOT_FILLED_YET) { //std::cerr << "Found via update" << std::endl; i--; idx = update_cursor->list_id_; update_cursor = static_cast<UpdateID*>(update_cursor->next_.get(segment)); } Data* current_item = channel_cursors[idx]; ACQUIRE_MEMORY_BARRIER; if(current_item->state_ == NOT_FILLED_YET) { continue; } found_an_update = true; log_latency(current_item->tv_sec_, current_item->tv_usec_); channel_cursors[idx] = static_cast<Data*>(current_item->next_.get(segment)); } } } The latency of this method was as good as Method 1, but scaled to large numbers of channels. The problem is, I have no clue why. Just to throw a wrench in things: if I uncomment the 'found via update' part, it prints between EVERY LATENCY LOG MESSAGE. Which means things are only ever found on the update list! So I don't understand how this method can be faster than method 2. • List Management Via MailChimp API

    - by goombaloon
I'm investigating using the MailChimp API to manage email notifications for a social networking site (similar to how Twitter sends email notifications to followers when a followee posts a new Tweet). My original plan was to have a "follower" list for each user in the app and then send an email to that list each time that user posts new content. However, it appears that the MailChimp API intentionally doesn't support creating campaign lists via the API (for CAN-SPAM reasons). I've read something about list segmentation in MailChimp, but I don't think that helps me with this situation. I'm curious if anyone else has run into a similar requirement to mine and how they dealt with it. Any insights would be most appreciated! Thanks.

  • [as3] list cellRenderer

    - by lemon
I'm quite new with as3 via cs4 so please bear with me. I'm trying to make a phone book type list that displays the users name, cellnumber and possible a delete button. --- Bob 09XXXXXXXXX delete --- Sussie 09XXXXXXXXX delete --- Johnny 09XXXXXXXXX delete --- I've tried making a list and added to it a XML dataprovider <profiles> <profile> <label>Bob</label> ... </profile> It'll then display a list of names Bob Sussie Johnny But what do I have to do in order to get it print like fig 1? I know that it has something to do with CellRender but I can't seem to find any decent examples in Google.

  • automapper - how to map object list

    - by csetzkorn
Let us say my domain object can contain a bunch of objects like this: List<Thing> Things where Thing is defined like this: class Thing ( public int ThingId { get; set; } public string ThingName { get; set; } ) My DTO contains List<string> ThingIds; List<string> ThingNames; The question is how can I use automapper to map Things to the 'relevant bits' in the DTO? Thanks. Christian

  • Entity framework - exclude list of values

    - by DutrowLLC
Is there a way to exclude a list of values for an object attribute when querying the database through entity framework? I tried to be slick and pull this number: List<String> StringList = new List<String>(); StringList.Add("ya_mama"); StringList.Add("has"); StringList.Add("fleas"); servicesEntities context = new servicesEntities(); var NoFleasQuery = (from x in context.person where !StringList.Any(y => y.CompareTo(x.the_string_I_dont_want_it_to_be) == 0) // <--- the part where I thought I was slick select x); ...it compiled, but after I ran it, it gave me this error: Unable to create a constant value of type 'Closure type'. Only primitive types ('such as Int32, String, and Guid') are supported in this context. 'Closure type'???? How about MY closure!!! Entity framework... you broke my heart.

  • Maintain Added List Item while binding from datasource

    - by Kronass
Hi, I have a drop down list, and I added some items in it as follows <asp:DropDownList ID="ddlInsAuther" runat="server" DataSourceID="ObjectDataSourceInsAuthers" DataTextField="AutherName" DataValueField="AutherID"> <asp:ListItem Value="-1">No Authers</asp:ListItem> </asp:DropDownList> And in Datasource <asp:ObjectDataSource ID="ObjectDataSourceInsAuthers" runat="server" SelectMethod="GetAll" TypeName="MyProject.BusinessLayer.AuthersFactory"> </asp:ObjectDataSource> When it loads it clears the list and loads the new items, I don't want to make a custom binder on page load, how can I maintain my added items in the list while binding from datasource?

  • Marshal a list of objects from VB6 to C#

    - by Andrew
I have a development which requires the passing of objects between a VB6 application and a C# class library. The objects are defined in the C# class library and are used as parameters for methods exposed by other classes in the same library. The objects all contain simple string/numeric properties and so marshaling has been relatively painless. We now have a requirement to pass an object which contains a list of other objects. If I was coding this in VB6 I might have a class containing a collection as a member variable. In C# I might have a class with a List member variable. Is it possible to construct a C# class in such a way that the VB6 application could populate this inner list and marshal it successfully? I don't have a lot of experience here but I would guess Id have to use an array of Object types.

  • Sorting List which has object that contains two string members that contains numbers

    - by Lemo
I want to know the best solution for this my case here is that i am taking values from Excel sheet and pushing them to database field, sometimes that field might contain some strings (thats why I cant make my object members int / double) In my class below size is the variable responsible for showing size of files in bytes public class dataNameValue { public string Name { get; set; } public string Count { get; set; } public string Size { get; set; } } I wanted to sort the list by file Size something like List mylist = new List(); mylist = mylist.OrderByDescending(i = i.Size).ToList(); The problem is that if i sorted it without converting it to "int/double" first -- its not giving right results

  • Show duplicates in Mathematica

    - by Martin Janiczek
In Mathematica I have a list: x = {1,2,3,3,4,5,5,6} How will I make a list with the duplicates? Like: {3,5} I have been looking at Lists as Sets, if there is something like Except[] for lists, so I could do: unique = Union[x] duplicates = MyExcept[x,unique] (Of course, if the x would have more than two duplicates - say, {1,2,2,2,3,4,4}, there the output would be {2,2,4}, but additional Union[] would solve this.) But there wasn't anything like that (if I did understand all the functions there well). So, how to do that?
