  • WPF performance for large number of elements on the screen

    Im currently trying to create a Scene in WPF where I have around 250 controls on my screen and the user can Pan and Zoom in and out of these controls using the mouse. I have run the WPF Performance Suite tools on the application when there are a large number of these controls on the screen (i.e. when the user has zoomed right out) the FPS drops down to around 15 which is not very good. I have seen other SO questions about this and people say to do custom drawing, but I dont really see how that make sense when you have to zoom and pan like I do.   • Datagridview error

    I have two datagridviews. So for the second one, i just copy-pasted the code from the first and changed where the difference was. But i get an error at the secod data grid when i want to view the result of my sql code. Translated in english the error show something like that there was no value given to at least one required parameter.   • optimizing widget painting.

    I am painting a widget and I want to optimize the process. Basically i will be sliding the image in the x direction and I only want to fill the newly exposed area. Is there a way to translate the pixels of a widget without calling update or using paintevent? I know of pixmaps and such but I am wondering If I can for example draw a pixmap once and then translate what I have drawn without having to paint anything else or draw pixmaps anymore.

  • How to populate JList with data from another JList

    I have a MySQL database which contains data i would like to populate into a JList in my java program. I have two JList, one which is fill with Events Title and the second is to be fill with Guest Name. What i would like is when the user click on any of the Events Title, the second JList will show all the Guest Name that belong to that Event. I have already successfully populate the first JList with all the Events Title. What I'm having trouble with is when the user click on the Events Title, the Guests Name will show twice on the second JList. How can i make it to show only once? Here is what i got so far... After passed to next form, itll me.visible = false. Theres 3 buttons on the Select form which call Customer, Staff and Exit. As i had just start, the button Customer will pass to a MDI menu call Customer Menu with a menu strip button called Quotation. Same, Select will me.visible = false when done. Then a problem occured, i made a Quotation inside the Customer Menu, such as the mdiparent of Quotation is Customer. I expected that the Quotation button will disenable to press after i pressed that button. But i fail to do that.
