• Mouse pointer strange problem...

  Hi all, i have last ubuntu installed (10.10), but from an year and thousand updates, video drivers updates, an hundreds of tricks, the mouse pointer is showed like an UGLY square... These are the screenshots: First Second I have no idea what to do to solve this problem. Anyone of you have an idea to solve it? Edit: this problem was encountered from 8.10+! • What's the best algorithm for... [closed]

  Hi programmers! Today come out a little problem. I have an array of coordinates (latitude and longitude) maded in this way: [0] = "45.01234,9.12345" [1] = "46.11111,9.12345" [2] = "47.22222,9.98765" [...] etc In a loop, convert these coordinates in meters (UTM northing / UTM easting) and after that i convert these coords in pixel (X / Y) on screen (the output device is an iphone) to draw a route line on a custom map. [0] = "512335.00000,502333.666666" [...] etc The returning pixel are passed to a method that draw a line on screen (simulating a route calculation). [0] = "20,30" [1] = "21,31" [2] = "25,40" [...] etc As coordinate (lat/lon) are too many, i need to truncate lat/lon array eliminating the values that doesn't fill in the map bound (the visible part of map on screen). Map bounds are 2 couple of coords lat/lon, upper left and lower right. Now, what is the best way to loop on this array (NOT SORTED) and check if a value is or not in bound and after remove the value that is outside? To return a clean array that contains only the coords visible on screen? Note: the coords array is a very big array. 4000/5000 couple of items. This is a method that should be looped every drag or zoom. Anyone have an idea to optimize search and controls in this array? many thanks, A

  Hi all, for my company i need to take a new certification. I'm a mobile developer, in particular iphone/ipad, but windows phone mobile (7) or android are good anyway! I don't wont only mobile... it's good enough php, c#, java, c++, anything about dev! I already have SUN Java Programmer (this). Mobile architect exist? Something like this? • Problem when use compiled .A with simulator mode

  Hi all, i have a lib .a that run only in device mode. My sdk vers is 4.2 with xcode 3.2.x. In simulator, compile correctle with no warning and no errors, but in run mode (simulator) it crash with this error: Detected an attempt to call a symbol in system libraries that is not present on the iPhone: strtod$UNIX2003 called from function pj_init in image MyAPP. If you are encountering this problem running a simulator binary within gdb, make sure you 'set start-with-shell off' first Program received signal: “SIGABRT”. I try to clean, rebuild and set "set start-with-shell off" from terminal in this way: cd ~ echo '' >> .gdbinit echo 'set start-with-shell 0' >> .gdbinit Restarted all, but nothing. The problem don't wont to resolve! Is there any tag or property that i forgotted to set in the options? In other linker flag is there only "-ObjC". It's very important to solve this issue... any idea please? thanks, A EDIT: It's my lib, compiled in simulator mode! EDIT: It run only with Simulator 4.1. Don't work with iphone 4.0, 4.2 and ipad 3.2 (all simulator).

• Add image contact in address book

  Hi all, how can i use kABPersonImageFormatThumbnail or something else to set an image to a contact in address book??? I want use a /resources file. Now i use ABMultiValueAddValueAndLabel(multiPhone, @"+39-02-1234567", kABWorkLabel, NULL); to set a value in address book. An image seems to be the same behavior, but what type need use?
