  • Ant path/pathelement not expanding properties correctly

    - by Jonas Byström
    My property gwt.sdk expands just fine everywhere else, but not inside a path/pathelement: <target name="setup.gwtenv"> <property environment="env"/> <condition property="gwt.sdk" value="${env.GWT_SDK}"> <isset property="env.GWT_SDK" /> </condition> <property name="gwt.sdk" value="/usr/local/gwt" /> <!-- Default value. --> </target> <path id="project.class.path"> <pathelement location="${gwt.sdk}/gwt-user.jar"/> </path> <target name="libs" depends="setup.gwtenv" description="Copy libs to WEB-INF/lib"> </target> <target name="javac" depends="libs" description="Compile java source"> <javac srcdir="src" includes="**" encoding="utf-8" destdir="war/WEB-INF/classes" source="1.5" target="1.5" nowarn="true" debug="true" debuglevel="lines,vars,source"> <classpath refid="project.class.path"/> </javac> </target> For instance, placing an echo of ${gwt.sdk} just above works, but not inside "project.class.path". Is it a bug, or do I have to do something that I'm not? Edit: I tried moving the property out from target setup.gwtenv into "global space", that helped circumvent the problem.

  • Ant build classpath jar generates "error in opening zip file"

    - by Uberpuppy
I have a project built in eclipse with a dependencies on 3rd party jars. I'm trying to generate a suitable build file for ant - using eclipses built-in export-ant buildfile feature as a starting block. When I run the build target I get the following error: [javac] error: error reading /base/repo/FabTrace/lib/apache/geronimo/specs/geronimo-j2ee-management_1.0_spec/1.0/geronimo-j2ee-management_1.0_spec-1.0.jar; error in opening zip file And the whole build file (auto-generated by eclipse) looks like this: (NB: the error above always references the first jar listed in the classpath) <project basedir="." default="build" name="FabTrace"> <property environment="env"/> <property name="ECLIPSE_HOME" value="/opt/apps/eclipse"/> <property name="debuglevel" value="source,lines,vars"/> <property name="target" value="1.5"/> <property name="source" value="1.5"/> <path id="JUnit But I get the same results with or without it.) I've done ye old google search and trawled around without success. I can confirm that all the jars do really exist. I've also tried from the commandline and as sudo - again, same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

  • Where are classpath, path and pathelement documented in Ant version 1.8.0?

    - by Robert Menteer
I'm looking over the documentation that comes with Apache Ant version 1.8.0 and can't find where classpath, path and pathelement are documented. I've found a page that describes path like structures but it doesn't list the valid attributes or nested elements for these. Another thing I can't find in the documentation is a description of the relationships between filelist, fileset, patternset and path and how to convert them back and forth. For instance there has to be an easier way to compile only those classes in one package while removing all class dependencies on the package classes and update documentation. <!-- Get list of files in which we're interested. --> <fileset id = "java.source.set" dir = "${src}"> <include name = "**/Package/*.java" /> </fileset> <!-- Get a COMMA separated list of classes to compile. --> <pathconvert property = "java.source.list" refid = "java.source.set" pathsep = ","> <globmapper from = "${src}/*.@{src.extent}" to = "*.class" /> </pathconvert> <!-- Remove ALL dependencies on package classes. --> <depend srcdir = "${src}" destdir = "${build}" includes = "${java.source.list}" closure = "yes" /> <!-- Get a list of up to date classes. --> <fileset id = "class.uptodate.set" dir = "${build}"> <include name = "**/*.class" /> </fileset> <!-- Get list of source files for up to date classes. --> <pathconvert property = "java.uptodate.list" refid = "class.uptodate.set" pathsep = ","> <globmapper from="${build}/*.class" to="*.java" /> </pathconvert> <!-- Compile only those classes in package that are not up to date. --> <javac srcdir = "${src}" destdir = "${build}" classpathref = "compile.classpath" includes = "${java.source.list}" excludes = "${java.uptodate.list}"/> <!-- Get list of directories of class files for package. --: <pathconvert property = "class.dir.list" refid = "java.source.set" pathsep = ","> <globmapper from = "${src}/*.java" to = "${build}*" /> </pathconvert> <!-- Convert directory list to path. --> <path id = "class.dirs.path"> <dirset dir = "${build}" includes = "class.dir.list" /> </path> <!-- Update package documentation. --> <jdepend outputfile = "${docs}/jdepend-report.txt"> <classpath refid = "compile.classpath" /> <classpath location = "${build}" /> <classespath> <path refid = "class.dirs.path" /> </classespath> <exclude name = "java.*" /> <exclude name = "javax.*" /> </jdepend> Notice there's a number of conversions between filesets, paths and comma separated list just to get the proper 'type' required for the different ant tasks. Is there a way to simplify this while still processing the fewest files in a complex directory structure?

The most recent (as of yesterday) version 5 of Drools-Rules.

  • Why do I get the error "Only antlib URIs can be located from the URI alone, not the URI" when trying to run hibernate tools in my build.xml

    - by Casbah
I'm trying to run hibernate tools in an ant build to generate ddl from my JPA annotations. Ant dies on the taskdef tag. I've tried with ant 1.7, 1.6.5, and 1.6 to no avail. I've tried both in eclipse and outside. I've tried including all the hbn jars in the hibernate-tools path and not. Note that I based my build file on this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/281890/hibernate-jpa-to-ddl-command-line-tools I'm running eclipse 3.4 with WTP 3.0.1 and MyEclipse 7.1 on Ubuntu 8. • Project compilation requires a class that is not used anywhere

    - by Susei
When I build with ant my project that uses libgdx, I get a strange error. It says that a class com.google.gwt.dom.client.ImageElement is not found, but it isn't used at all in the code. How can I find what makes this class necessary? Even searching over the whole project doesn't give any results. It says that error is at PixmapTextureAtlas.java:16 (class source), but there is no code that uses that ImageElement class. Adding the library containing com.google.gwt.dom.client.ImageElement class helps, of course, but I'd like to figure out why this class in needed. Here is the place in ant log that tells of the actual error: Compiling 3 source files to /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/client/bin /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/client/src/org/tendiwa/client/PixmapTextureAtlas.java:16: error: cannot access ImageElement class file for com.google.gwt.dom.client.ImageElement not found Here is the whole ant log: /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-oracle/bin/java -Xmx128m -Xss2m -Dant.home=/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant -Dant.library.dir=/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -classpath /opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-apache-regexp.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-swing.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-apache-xalan2.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-jdepend.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-apache-resolver.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-jsch.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-testutil.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-launcher.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-apache-bsf.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-commons-logging.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-netrexx.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-junit.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-commons-net.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-apache-bcel.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-antlr.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-apache-log4j.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-jai.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-apache-oro.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-jmf.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/ant/lib/ant-javamail.jar:/usr/lib/jvm/java-7-oracle/lib/tools.jar:/opt/intellijidea/lib/idea_rt.jar com.intellij.rt.ant.execution.AntMain2 -logger com.intellij.rt.ant.execution.IdeaAntLogger2 -inputhandler com.intellij.rt.ant.execution.IdeaInputHandler -buildfile /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/client/build.xml jar build.xml property path description compile ant property property property description compile mkdir javac jar ant property description _core_src_available available ontology antcall property description _core_src_available available _build_core ant property property compile echo /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/client mkdir javac jar jar Building jar: /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/MainModule.jar description tempfile mkdir Created dir: /tmp/tendiwa373148820 unjar Expanding: /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/MainModule.jar into /tmp/tendiwa373148820 Expanding: /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/tendiwa-backend.jar into /tmp/tendiwa373148820 Expanding: /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/tendiwa-ontology.jar into /tmp/tendiwa373148820 copy Copying 1 file to /tmp/tendiwa373148820 java Created item short_sword Created item short_bow Created item bucket Created item boot Created item steel_morningstar Created item rifle_ammo Created item handAxe Created item iron_armor Created item steel_mace Created item jacket Created item fedora Created item wooden_arrow Saving sources to /tmp/tendiwa373148820/ontology/src tendiwa/resources/SoundTypes.java tendiwa/resources/CharacterTypes.java tendiwa/resources/ObjectTypes.java tendiwa/resources/FloorTypes.java tendiwa/resources/ItemTypes.java tendiwa/resources/MaterialTypes.java mkdir mkdir mkdir Created dir: /tmp/tendiwa373148820/ontology/bin javac jar Building jar: /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/tendiwa-ontology.jar echo Resources source code generated ant property property compile echo /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/client mkdir javac jar jar jar Building jar: /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/MainModule.jar mkdir javac /home/suseika/Projects/tendiwa/client/build.xml:25: Compile failed; • How best to store Subversion version information in EAR's?

    - by Rene
When receiving a bug report or an it-doesnt-work message one of my initials questions is always what version? With a different builds being at many stages of testing, planning and deploying this is often a non-trivial question. I the case of releasing Java JAR (ear, jar, rar, war) files I would like to be able to look in/at the JAR and switch to the same branch, version or tag that was the source of the released JAR. How can I best adjust the ant build process so that the version information in the svn checkout remains in the created build? I was thinking along the lines of: adding a VERSION file, but with what content? storing information in the META-INF file, but under what property with which content? copying sources into the result archive added svn:properties to all sources with keywords in places the compiler leaves them be I ended up using the svnversion approach (the accepted anwser), because it scans the entire subtree as opposed to svn info which just looks at the current file / directory. For this I defined the SVN task in the ant file to make it more portable. <taskdef name="svn" classname="org.tigris.subversion.svnant.SvnTask"> <classpath> <pathelement location="${dir.lib}/ant/svnant.jar"/> <pathelement location="${dir.lib}/ant/svnClientAdapter.jar"/> <pathelement location="${dir.lib}/ant/svnkit.jar"/> <pathelement location="${dir.lib}/ant/svnjavahl.jar"/> </classpath> </taskdef> Not all builds result in webservices. The ear file before deployment must remain the same name because of updating in the application server. Making the file executable is still an option, but until then I just include a version information file. <target name="version"> <svn><wcVersion path="${dir.source}"/></svn> <echo file="${dir.build}/VERSION">${revision.range}</echo> </target> Refs: svnrevision: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/re57.html svn info http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/re13.html subclipse svn task: http://subclipse.tigris.org/svnant/svn.html svn client: http://svnkit.com/

  • escaping a dollar in the middle of an ant property

    - by jk
    I have a property whose value contains a $. I'd like to use this property as a regexp in a propertyregexp. Ant appears to resolve the property as a paramater to the propertyregexp, but then the dollar gets interpreted as a regexp symbol. Example: <property name="a" value="abc$" /> <property name="b" value="xyz" /> <path id="paths"> <pathelement location="abc$/def" /> <pathelement location="abc$/ghi" /> </path> <pathconvert property="list" refid="paths" pathsep="${line.separator}" dirsep="/" /> <propertyregex property="list" input="${list}" override="true" regexp="${a}(.*)" replace="${b}\1" /> <echo message="${list}" /> I'd like to the pair xyz/def and xyz/ghi. Is this possible? I'm using Ant 1.8.

  • Ant and Flex-4 problem, MXMLC.jar not found !

    - by Ali
    Hi all, I updated a flex application from flex 3.5 to flex 4.0. We are using ant for compiling our project and we have a mxmlc task to handle the flex part. After the upgrade, our mxmlc task broke. Here is the task definition: <taskdef resource="flexTasks.tasks"> <classpath> <pathelement path="${FLEX_HOME}/ant/lib/flexTasks.jar"/> <pathelement path="${FLEX_HOME}/lib/flexTasks.jar"/> <fileset dir="${FLEX_HOME}/lib"> <include name="**/*.jar"/> </fileset> </classpath> </taskdef> And here is mxmlc task <mxmlc file="${src}/Main.mxml" output="${build}/main.swf" debug="true" target-player="10" services="../src/main/webapp/WEB-INF/flex/services-config.xml" context-root="/" > <compiler.library-path dir="${lib}"> <include name="*.swc"/> </compiler.library-path> <compiler.library-path dir="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/libs"> <include name="*.swc"/> </compiler.library-path> <compiler.library-path dir="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/libs/player/10.0"> <include name="*.swc"/> </compiler.library-path> <compiler.library-path dir="${FLEX_HOME}/frameworks/locale"> <include name="**/*"/> </compiler.library-path> </mxmlc> And we are getting: The class not found in jar file: mxmlc.jar I checked the ${FLEX_HOME}/lib folder and I can see the mxmlc.jar file there. I appreciate your comments for resolving this matter, Thanks, -A

  • Debugging Cactus Tests in Eclipse

    - by Th3sandm4n
Side note: This is inherited code, I didn't do any of the setup and am new to the project. I'm trying to set up remote debugging in Eclipse for these unit tests that use Cactus. I've read around a bit (but I can't seem to find any REAL information how to set this up). Closest I've found is here (http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/CactusInWTP/CactusInWTP.html), but it just says to Debug - Debug on Server, but nowhere does it say where the debug port is set or anything, and I can't find anything on how to enable this, set it. Just asking to see if anyone has set this up before, it would really help stepping through the code rather than just logging. The plugin (http://jakarta.apache.org/cactus/integration/eclipse/runner_plugin.html) Looks promising, but I also don't even know where to download it, it doesn't link to a location -.- The project uses ant, cactus, and I'm using Eclipse. Thanks EDIT Here is the target I'm using <junit fork="no" forkmode="perTest" printsummary="yes" haltonfailure="no" haltonerror="no" failureproperty="tests.failed"> <jvmarg value="-Xdebug" /> <jvmarg value="-Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,address=localhost:8005,server=y,suspend=y" /> <formatter type="xml" usefile="true" /> <formatter type="plain" usefile="false" /> <classpath> <pathelement location="${clover.jar}"/> <path refid="cactus.classpath.id" /> <pathelement location="../ejb/src" /> </classpath> <sysproperty key="cactus.contextURL" value="${cactus.contextURL}"/> <test name="com.test.AllTests" outfile="TESTS" /> </junit>

  • How to macro-ify ant targets?

    - by Jonas Byström
I want to be able to have different targets doing nearly the same thing, as so: ant build <- this would be a normal (default) build ant safari <- building the safari target. The targets look like this: <target name="build" depends="javac" description="GWT compile to JavaScript"> <java failonerror="true" fork="true" classname="com.google.gwt.dev.Compiler"> <classpath> <pathelement location="src"/> <path refid="project.class.path"/> </classpath> <jvmarg value="-Xmx256M"/> <arg value="${lhs.target}"/> </java> </target> <target name="safari" depends="javac" description="GWT compile to Safari/JavaScript"> <java failonerror="true" fork="true" classname="com.google.gwt.dev.Compiler"> <classpath> <pathelement location="src"/> <path refid="project.class.path"/> </classpath> <jvmarg value="-Xmx256M"/> <arg value="${lhs.safari.target}"/> </java> </target> (Nevermind the first thought that strikes: throw out ant! That's not an option just yet.) I tried using macrodef, but got a strange error message (even though the message didn't imply it, it think it had to do with putting a target in sequential). I don't want to do ant -Dwhatever=nevermind. Any ideas?

  • Compiling GWT 2.6.1 at Java 7 source level

    - by Neeko
I've recently updated my GWT project to 2.6.1, and started to make use of Java 7 syntax since 2.6 now supports Java 7. However, when I attempt to compile, I'm receiving compiler errors such as [ERROR] Line 42: '<>' operator is not allowed for source level below 1.7 How do I specify the GWT compiler to target 1.7? I was under the impression that it would do that by default, but I guess not. I've attempted cleaning the project, including deleting the gwt-unitCache directory but to no avail. Here is my Ant compile target. <target name="compile" depends="prepare"> <javac includeantruntime="false" debug="on" debuglevel="lines, vars, source" srcdir="${src.dir}" destdir="${build.dir}"> <classpath refid="project.classpath"/> </javac> </target> <target name="gwt-compile" depends="compile"> <java failonerror="true" fork="true" classname="com.google.gwt.dev.Compiler"> <classpath> <!-- src dir is added to ensure the module.xml file(s) are on the classpath --> <pathelement location="${src.dir}"/> <pathelement location="${build.dir}"/> <path refid="project.classpath"/> </classpath> <jvmarg value="-Xmx256M"/> <arg value="${gwt.module.name}"/> </java> </target>

  • Is it possible to have Ant print out the classpath for a particular target? If so, how?

    - by Daryl Spitzer
I'm trying to get a target to build that has quite a long list of <pathelement location="${xxx}"/> and <path refid="foo.class.path"/> elements in its <path id="bar.class.path"> element (in the build.xml file). I keep getting "package com.somecompany.somepackage does not exist" errors, and I'm having a hard time chasing down these packages and making sure I've synced them from our repository. I'm new to this team so I'm unfamiliar with the build, but I would prefer to figure this out myself if possible (so I don't bother the other very busy team members). I have very limited experience with Ant. I think it would save me quite a bit of time if I could have Ant print out the classpath for the target I'm trying to build.

  • SBT equivalent of Ant target

    - by adelbertc
What is the SBT equivalent (if any) of Ant targets? For example, a snippet in a build.xml file for Ant would be: <target name="runClient" description="run client"> <java classname="client.Client" fork="true"> <jvmarg value="-Djava.rmi.server.codebase=${client_web_codebase}"/> <jvmarg value="-Djava.security.policy=policy"/> <arg value="localhost"/> <classpath> <pathelement location="dist/client.jar"/> </classpath> </java> </target> And then I would do something like ant runClient to launch the application "client.Client" with the jvmargs specified in the XML.. is there an SBT equivalent, or a way for SBT to hook into Ant to do this?

  • java.lang.IllegalAccessException during Ant jwsc webservice build

    - by KevB
Hi. I have a large application, part of which relies on a set of 3 webservices. I'm currently in the process of writing an Ant build script to build and package the application into an EAR file. I also found a single report on the Oracle forums that seemed to be a carbon copy of this issue, but there were no replies. The application is written in Weblogic Workshop 10, runs on Weblogic Server 10.3, and uses Beehive / NetUI. Not sure if that would make a difference or not though. The build scripts were automatically generated by Weblogic Workshop, with some tweaks and fixes made to other aspects of the files by myself to fix other compatability issues. I am using Java 1.6.0_23 from Sun, and Ant 1.8.1 Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • classpath error when executing a jar by ant

    - by changed
Hi I am trying to execute a jar file created using ant. But i am not able to find out why libraries are not available while executing jar. I am trying to load derby embedded database driver but some how i am not getting derby.jar in classpath. Error that i am getting is [java] Unable to load the JDBC driver org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver [java] Please check your CLASSPATH. • How to emulate "-lib foo.jar" from _within_ build.xml

    - by Thorbjørn Ravn Andersen
By specifying "-lib foo.jar" to ant I get the behaviour that the classes in foo.jar is added to the ant classloader and are available for various tasks taking a class name argument. I'd like to be able to specify the same behaviour but only from inside build.xml (so we can do this on a vanilla ant). For taskdefs we have functioning code looking like: <taskdef resource="net/sf/antcontrib/antlib.xml" description="for/foreach tasks"> <classpath> <pathelement location="${active.workspace}/ant-contrib-1.X/lib/ant-contrib.jar" /> </classpath> </taskdef> where the definition is completely provided from the ant-contrib.jar listed. What is the equivalent mechanism for the "global" ant classpath? (I have thought out that this is the way to get <javac> use ecj-3.5.jar to compile with on a JRE - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2364006/specifying-the-eclipse-compiler-completely-from-within-build-xml - in a way compatible with ant 1.7. Better suggestions are welcome :) EDIT: It appears that the about-to-be-released version 1.0 of ant4eclipse includes ecj. This does not answer the question, but may solve my basic problem.

  • How to checkout from SVN with an ANT task?

    - by Josh
I'm interested in any way that I can create an Ant task to checkout files from SubVersion. I "just" want to do the checkout from the command line. I've been using Eclipse with Ant and SubVersion for a while now, but my Ant and SubVersion knowledge is somewhat lacking as I relied on Eclipse to wire it all together. I've been looking at SvnAnt as one solution, which is part of Subclipse from Tigris at http://subclipse.tigris.org/svnant/svn.html. It may work fine, but all I get are NoClassDefFoundErrors. To the more experienced this probably looks like a simple Ant configuration problem, but I don't know about that. I copied the svnant.jar and svnclientadapter.jar into my Ant lib directory. Then I tried to run the following: <?xml version="1.0"?> <project name="blah"> <property environment="env"/> <path id="svnant.classpath"> <pathelement location="${env.ANT_HOME}/lib"/> <fileset dir="${env.ANT_HOME}/lib/"> <include name="svnant.jar"/> </fileset> </path> <typedef resource="org/tigris/subversion/svnant/svnantlib.xml" classpathref="svnant.classpath" /> <target name="checkout"> <svn username="abc" password="123"> <checkout url="svn://blah/blah/trunk" destPath="workingcopy"/> </svn> </target> </project> To which I get the following response: build.xml:17: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/tigris/subversion/javahl/SVNClientInterface I am running SVN 1.7 and SvnAnt 1.3 on Windows XP 32-bit. Thanks for any pointers!

  • Ant: How to force java compilation if classpath jars have changed but sources have not

    - by Ittai
Hi, I have the following usecase: I have a java project (myProj) which uses a common.jar from a different project(common). I want the javac ant task to work even if the sources of myProj have not changed if the common.jar has changed (as the sources of myProj depend of it and might be invalid now). I have a task which copies the common.jar from a central location to the myProj lib if it has changed and I can use it to set a property whether or not to "force" compilation so that end is taken care of. I'm not sure how (or if) I can tell the javac task to try and compile anyway? I don't want to change myProj's sources (or timestamps) so that the task will start. Excerpt from the ant build.xml file: <path id="project.class.path"> <pathelement location... /> ... <fileset dir="lib" includes="**/*.jar" /> </path> <target name="copyLibs" > <copy file="${central.loc}/common.jar" todir="lib" /> ... </target> <target name="javac" > <javac srcdir="src" includes="**" excludes=... > <classpath refid="project.class.path"/> </javac> </target> Thanks in advance, Ittai

  • Classloader issue (GWT)

    - by Banang
I'm currently working on a gwt app, where the server uses a few third party libs. recently I discovered that one of these libs isn't being properly loaded when running my app in deployed mode, and I just can't seem to figure out what out is I'm doing wrong. In my build script I have the following classpath declaration: <path id="project.class.path"> <pathelement location="${war.dir}/WEB-INF/classes"/> <fileset dir="${war.dir}/WEB-INF/lib" includes="**/*.jar"/> </path> and in a later target I copy the jar I need to the right location: <copy todir="${war.dir}/WEB-INF/lib" file="someJar.jar" /> The project builds as it should, without any errors. The jars are copied to where the should be, and are included in the resulting war file. In development mode everything is working as it should, everything gets loaded properly and I hear no complaints. However, in the deployed version I get this thrown at me: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/lang/exception/NestableRuntimeException java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:621) java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:124) org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.findClassInternal(WebappClassLoader.java:2331) org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.findClass(WebappClassLoader.java:976) org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1451) org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.java:1329) java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:320) my.package.server.util.SomeUtils.doSomethingFantastic(SomeUtils.java:84) Line 84 in SomeUtils is trying to instantiate a class from someJar.jar. I know very little about how the class loader for gwt works, and I sure could use a hand. Anyone got any ideas on how to solve this?

  • Granite DS Actionscript Code Generation Ant cannot find class error

    - by Roaders
I am trying to get my Ant build to run the granite DS Actionscript code generation task and am running into some problems. At the moment I am getting this error: BUILD FAILED C...\build.xml:62: Could not load Java class file: SampleDTOOne.class So the .class files are obviously being found. I am not however sure if this error means that the it cannot load the .class file or that it cannot find the actual java source code. My Ant task definition looks like this: <classpath> <pathelement location="C.../src/packages/" /> </classpath> <fileset dir="${base.build.dir}/jc/classes/gpbit/packageName"> <include name="*.class" /> </fileset> </gas3> I have tried many different values for the classpath but cannot get anythign to work. I do not like the path that I am using to find the .class files but again at the moment this is the only one I can get to work. None of the variables seem to make it any easier to get to this location. The fileset is definitely working as it definitely found the .clas files to include the name in the error message. More detailed error message: [gas3] Using output dir: C...trunk\plugin\build/etc/src/as3 [gas3] Using classpath: C...\trunk\plugin\src\packages [gas3] Loading all Java classes referenced by inner fileset(s) { [gas3] java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: SampleDTOOne [gas3] at org.apache.tools.ant.AntClassLoader.findClassInComponents(AntClassLoader.java:1361) any help much appreciated

  • How can I get JUnit test (driven from Ant script) to dump the stack of exception that causes failure

We run JUnit test from Ant script, as follows. When the test failed, I expect it to output the stack dump of the exception that casuses the failure, but it doesn't. • How do I stop Ant from hanging after executing a java program that attempted to interrupt a thread (and failed) and continued?

    - by Zugwalt
I have Ant build and execute a java program. This program tries to do something that sometimes hangs, so we execute it in a thread. actionThread.start(); try { actionThread.join(10000); } catch (InterruptedException e) { System.out.println("InterruptedException: "+e.getMessage()); } if (actionThread.isAlive()) { actionThread.interrupt(); System.out.println("Thread timed out and never died"); } The ant call looks like this: <java fork="true" failonerror="yes" classname="myPackage.myPathName" classpath="build"> <arg line=""/> <classpath> <pathelement location="bin" /> <fileset dir="lib"> <include name="**/*.jar"/> </fileset> </classpath> </java> And when this runs I see the "Thread timed out and never died" statement, and I also see the main program finish execution, but then Ant just hangs. Presumably it is waiting for the child threads to finish, but they never will. How can I have Ant be done once it is done executing main() and just kill or ignore dead threads?
