  • MacBook Pro - Aquamacs - spell check

    I have tried to use spell check for aquamac. I highlighted a region of the text. Then clicked Edit, then spell check region. I got the error message: Error : No word lists can be found for the language "en_US". Then I went to the website to download the following dictionaries: CocoAspell : I just clicked the download button. It was reported that the download was successful. However, when I tested it and highlighted a text region and clicked spell check. The same error message came out. Do I need to pull the downloaded .pkg to a certain place, such as the application folder, before I opened the .pkg? Or what else do I need to do make it work? I also downloaded the base package Aspell (for Intel) and the pre-built dictionaries as (as the instruction of the website), just the same way as point 1. I still got the same error message.   • San Joaquin County, California Wins AIIM 2012 Carl E. Nelson Best Practice Award

    Last month, AIIM, the global community of information professionals, announced the winners of the 2012 Carl E. Nelson Best Practices Awards. And San Joaquin County, California won in the small company category for 1-100 employees. The Carl E. Nelson Best Practices Award was established to recognize excellence in the area of information management. "Best practice" denotes a standard of excellence that has been achieved with an organization and refers to a process that can be quantified, adapted and repeated. Like many counties, San Joaquin County, California, was faced with huge challenges due to decreasing funds and staff, including decreased cost of building capability. It needed to streamline processes, cut costs per activity, modernize and strengthen the infrastructure, and adopt new technology and standards such as the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM). The Integrated Justice Information System (IJIS) provides a Web-based system to link more than 650,000 residents, 18 agencies countywide and other law enforcement systems nationwide. The county’s modernization initiative focused on replacing its outdated warrant system, implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA) to simplify integration between county law and justice systems, deploying Business Process Management (BPM), Case Management with content management, and Web technologies from Oracle. A critical part of their success has been the proper alignment of our Strategic Vision to the way the organization was enabled to plan and execute (and continues to execute) their modernization project.   • Defense Manpower Data Center Wins Award for Excellence in the Workforce

    The Defense Manpower Data Center milConnect website recently won the 2012 Excellence.gov Award for Excellence in the Workforce. Defense Manpower Data Center milConnect is a centralized, online resource that provides military service members (active and retired) and their families (over 42 million in total) quick access to their profile, health care enrollments, benefits, and other military-related topics. An easy to use, safe and secure website, milConnect also provides service members with convenient access their personnel and service-related information. The self-service website allow users to quickly and easily find and, where applicable, update their information in the Defense Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and milConnect transmits information to and from one reliable source safely and securely.  The Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) maintains the largest, most comprehensive central repository of personnel, manpower, casualty, pay, entitlement, personnel security, person identity and attributes, survey, testing, training, and financial data in the Department of Defense (DoD).  This is one of the largest systems of record in the world. milConnect had the challenge of modernizing the user experience for over 42 million users. With records in over 22 applications and 25 interfaces in hundreds of existing systems, milConnect needed to reduce the complexity of multiple authentication sources as well as consolidating access to existing systems with sensitive information. It accomplished this using a service-orientated architecture, enterprise security and access and identity management for self-service access on a massive scale.   • Comparing Page.User.Identity.Name to value in sql Table

    First, I am SO sorry if the answer is out there. I've looked and looked and feel this is such a simple thing that it should be obvious. I'm wanting to make sure only the person who added an event can modify it. Simple! I already have a datasource that has event_added_by as a data point. It is populating a FormView. SelectCommand="SELECT * FROM [tbl_events] WHERE ([event_ID] = @event_ID)" And I have Page.User.Identity.Name. How do I compare the two? I can't pull the value from the label in the FormView so I need to find another way. if (!IsPostBack) { string uname = Page.User.Identity.Name; string owner = ""// this is where I need to grab the value from dsEvents; if (uname != owner) { //Send them somewhere saying they're not allowed to be here } } TIA for any help!

  • How do I run my C# application in scheduled tasks when I am not logged in

    I have a C# console application that just processes data. The problem is that when I log off, the console application ends. If I schedule the application to run at a set time and I am not logged in, the application does not run at all. I can run it interactively by double clicking the exe and I can open scheduled tasks and run it by right clicking and selecting run. As soon as I log out, the application ends. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello All, I am having an issue with a simple insert query into a table. I have this PHP Code $T_MEMBER = "INSERT INTO T_MEMBER (MEMBER_IDENTIFIER,LAST_NAME,FIRST_NAME,BIRTH_DATE) VALUES ('$memberID','$last','$first','$birthdate')"; mysql_query($T_MEMBER) or die(mysql_error()); Here are a few examples of what the query looks like if i echo it: INSERT INTO T_MEMBER (MEMBER_IDENTIFIER,LAST_NAME,FIRST_NAME,BIRTH_DATE) VALUES ('2007','Hayes','Karin','1958-30-10') INSERT INTO T_MEMBER (MEMBER_IDENTIFIER,LAST_NAME,FIRST_NAME,BIRTH_DATE) VALUES ('2020','Long','Peggy','1968-29-5') INSERT INTO T_MEMBER (MEMBER_IDENTIFIER,LAST_NAME,FIRST_NAME,BIRTH_DATE) VALUES ('2021','Torres','Diane','1968-30-8') BIRTH_DATE is a date type column.
