  • Oracle account locked

    Hi All, I had a user in my oracle DB with some 'x' password for sometime. Without notifying my team I changed the password to 'y'. But my team members tried to connect to the machine with the old passowrd 'x' and as the limit was set, the user account got locked. I know how to set the resource limit for the login. It would be helpful if anyone can help in finding who and all has tried to connect to the DB. As a administrator I would like to view from where the connection was from. Thanks in advance. Priya.R

  • wpf and win32 overlapping issue

    I have a wpf Window, which has wpf control and windows forms control hosted in WindowsFormsHost. The expected behavior is that the WPF control should be rendered on top of WindowsFormsHost. Unfortunately, this is a limitation in the interop story, WindowsFormsHost elements are always drawn on top, and don't get affected by z-order. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms742522.aspx Is there any workaround to solve this problem?   • Internet zone is opened when broswer is opened from installer created by .Net 3.5sp1

    Hi All, I have project created in VS2005 and .Net 2.0. The installation is a web-based installation. After installing the proe-requisites the installer opens up the browser to continue with web-based install. On this, it opens up in intranet zone and works perfectly. I recently migrated the project to VS2008 Sp1 and .Net 3.5sp1. No change in my code and the test environment. Here the browser gets opened up in the Internet zone which prevents it from moving forward, until unless I open up a new browser manually and copy paste the url. The internet security options on the both the case are - Internet --- High. For the case2, if i have the security internet option to be 'Medium', it works well. I am not sure why this issue comes up when I change the VS and .Net version. More over the browser gets opened with system priveleges rather than administrator privileges.   • MySQL Enterprise Backup 3.8.2 - Overview

      MySQL Enterprise Backup (MEB) is the ideal solution for backing up MySQL databases. MEB 3.8.2 is released in June 2013. MySQL Enterprise Backup 3.8.2 release’s main goal is to improve usability. With this release, users can know the progress of backup completed both in terms of size and as a percentage of the total. This release also offers options to be able to manage the behavior of MEB in case the space on the secondary storage is completely exhausted during backup. The progress indicator is a (short) string that indicates how far the execution of a time-consuming MEB command has progressed. It consists of one or more "meters" that measures the progress of the command. There are two options introduced to control the progress reporting function of mysqlbackup command (1) –show-progress (2) –progress-interval. The user can control the progress indicator by using “--show-progress” option in any of the MEB operations. This option instructs MEB to output periodically short reports on the progress of time-consuming commands. The argument of this option instructs where the output could be sent. For example it could be stderr, stdout, file, fifo and table. With the “--show-progress” option both the total size of the backup to be copied and the size that’s already copied will be shown. Along with this, the state of the operation for example data or meta-data being copied or tables being locked and other such operations will also be reported. This gives more clear information to the DBA on the progress of the backup that’s happening. Interval between progress report in seconds is controlled by “--progress-interval” option. For more information on this please refer progress-report-options. MEB can also be accessed through GUI from MySQL WorkBench’s next version. This can be used as the front end interface for MEB users to perform backup operations at the click of a button. This feature was highly requested by DBAs and will be very useful. Along with the progress report feature some of the important issues like below are also addressed in MEB 3.8.2. In MEB 3.8.2 a new command line option “--on-disk-full” is introduced to abort or warn the user when a backup process encounters a full disk condition. When no option is given, by default it would abort. A few issues related to “incremental-backup” are also addressed in this release. Please refer 3.8.2 documentation for more details. It would be good for MEB users to move to 3.8.2 to take incremental backups. Overall the added usability and the important defects fixed in this release makes MySQL Enterprise Backup 3.8.2 a promising release.

  • Not able to find scripts present in /etc/profile.d directory [on hold]

    I am using Red Hat Linux 6.0 ... using davinchi board. I have to change system clock resolution so I am changing (HZ) env var. For this I have written script so that I can change HZ = 1000 n insert that script in /etc/profile.d and write code for loop in /etc/profile so that while running as usual /etc/profile can load the scripts present in /etc/profile.d. But when I am logging into the system at root level then showing error as "-bash: ./etc/profile.d/resolution.sh(my script name): No such file or directory Also here why it is showing ./etc and not /etc . Is something related to that?? Also I tried to add script in /etc/init.d but still no change in value of HZ takes place. Please tell where to change so that this env var can get changed. The script(resolution.sh) written has :- #!/bin/bash export HZ=1000 The content of /etc/profile which I entered is: if [ -d /etc/profile.d ]; then for i in /etc/profile.d/*.sh; do if [ -r $i ]; then .$i fi done unset i fi And the output of grep command is -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 535 Feb 4 2004 profile -rwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Feb 2 2004 profile.d

I need connecting lines in the treeview to make it look exact to org chart.     Hi, I am using joomla Artio SEF for my website. I am using a form for new customer. So it uses index.php?form=newcustomer&Itemid=1 url as "joomla15/new-customer" as sef url. Now I need to add error message like index.php?form=newcustomer&Itemid=1&msg=".$msg after submitting this form. In this case it is not displaying as sef and showing "index.php?form=newcustomer&Itemid=1&msg=New Customer Received". I cld not use custom redirect also,becoz msg are dynamically generated.     Consider that I have to get the overall performance of X. X has Y elements and Y in turn has Z elements which inturn has some N elements. To get the performance of X I do this: List<double> XQ = new List<double>(); foreach (Elem Y in X.Y){ List<double> YQ = new List<double>(); foreach (Elem Z in Y.Z){ List<double> ZQ = new List<double>(); foreach (Elem N in Z.N){ ZQ.Add(GetPerformance(N)); } YQ.Add(AVG(ZQ)); } XQ.Add(AVG(YQ)); } AVG of XQ list gives the performance of X. The performance can be calculated for either X or Y or for Z. X, Y and Z share the same base class. So depending on the item given the foreach loop has to be executed. Currently I have a switch case to determine each item (X or Y or Z) and the foreach loop is repeated in the code pertaining to the item (eg. If Y foreach starts from Y.Z). Is is possible to convert this whole code generic using reflection instead of having to repeat it in each switch case? Thanks

  • pull down notification panel in iOS help for iPad

    I have developed an iPad application. In which I am using left/right swipes from corner of screen. The problem is when device is in landscape mode, (though the application is always in portrait orientation) and user wants to swipe left, it opens the notification panel instead of going to swipeAction that I had defined. Note that it works fine when device is kept in portrait mode. Is there any way to make pull down notification panel application orientation specific ? Any kind of help will be appreciated.
