  • rsAccessDenied - SQL server 2008 reporting services

    - by rboorgapally
Hi, I am running SQL server 2008 developer edition on windows vista home premium. I created a reporting services project that was built successfully in BIDS. When I try to deploy it it gives the following error: Error rsAccessDenied : The permissions granted to user 'COMP\MYSELF' are insufficient for performing this operation. The MYSELF account is the only account on the system. It has administrator rights. The reporting service is running with the LocalSystem service account. If I log in with the MYSELF account into reportmanager, I cannot see the site settings tab. Without the site settings tab, how do I add or change the roles for MYSELF account. In summary, please help me to open the reportmanager in the browser with the site settings link so that I can change the role of the user account.

  • Remote desktop connection issues in windows server 2003

    - by rboorgapally
Hi all, We are running windows server 2003 at our work place. I have enabled the remote desktop connections. I have also added all the users who connect to the server(three to four people) to the RDC group of users. Many of these users are also having Administrator access. The problem we are facing is that the connection is suddenly lost when we are working on something. Also, at times the system restarts by itself. Is this issue related to the limit on the number of users able to connect to the system? If so, why does the system accept new connections and/or terminate the existing connections? Has this anything to do with the users having administrator access so that all have equal prority and that is why existing connections are stalled? Also, please differentiate between console remote desktop and non console remote desktop.

  • linking to boost regex in gcc

    - by rboorgapally
i am trying to compile my program which uses regex on linux. I built the boost library in the libs/regex/build by typing make -fgcc.mak which created a directory gcc which contains the following four files boost_regex-gcc-1_35 boost_regex-gcc-d-1_35 libboost_regex-gcc-1_35.a libboost_regex-gcc-d-1_35.a Now I want to use regex from my program which is in some arbitrary directory. I #included boost/regex.hpp I got the error which stated that regex.hpp is not found. Then I gave the -I option in the g++ compiler. I didn't get that error. But I get the following error undefined reference to `boost::re_detail::perl_matcher<__gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<char const*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >, std::allocator<boost::sub_match<__gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<char const*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > > > >, boost::regex_traits<char, boost::cpp_regex_traits<char> > >::construct_init(boost::basic_regex<char, boost::regex_traits<char, boost::cpp_regex_traits<char> > > const&, boost::regex_constants::_match_flags)' I googled and found that I need to somehow link one of the above 4 libraries to my program. How can I do it. Which one should I link and why?

  • GetDiskFreeSpaceEx reports wrong number of free bytes

    - by rboorgapally
__int64 i64FreeBytes unsigned __int64 lpFreeBytesAvailableToCaller, lpTotalNumberOfBytes, lpTotalNumberOfFreeBytes; // variables used to obtain // the free space on the drive GetDiskFreeSpaceEx (Manager.capDir, (PULARGE_INTEGER)&lpFreeBytesAvailableToCaller, (PULARGE_INTEGER)&lpTotalNumberOfBytes, (PULARGE_INTEGER)&lpTotalNumberOfFreeBytes); i64FreeBytes = lpTotalNumberOfFreeBytes; _tprintf(_T ("Number of bytes free on the drive:%I64u \n"), lpTotalNumberOfFreeBytes); I am working on a data management routine which is a Windows CE command line application. The above code shows how I get the number of free bytes on a particular drive which contains the folder Manager.capdir (it is the variable containing the full path name of the directory). My question is, the number of free bytes reported by the above code (the _tprintf statement) doesn't match with the number of free bytes of the drive (which i check by doing a right click on the drive). I wish to know if the reason for this difference?

  • Checking for a variable in the executable

    - by rboorgapally
Is there a way to know whether a variable is defined, by looking at the executable. Lets say I declare int i; in the main function. By compiling and linking I get an executable my_program.exe. Now, by looking inside my_program.exe, can I say if it has an int eger variable i ?
