  • Data Source Use of Oracle Edition Based Redefinition (EBR)

    - by Steve Felts
    Edition-based redefinition is a new feature in the 11gR2 release of the Oracle database. It enables you to upgrade the database component of an application while it is in use, thereby minimizing or eliminating down time. It works by allowing for a pre-upgrade and post-upgrade view of the data to exist at the same time, providing a hot upgrade capability. You can then specify which view you want for a particular session.  See the Oracle Database Advanced Application Developer's Guide for further information. There is also a good white paper at Edition Based Definition. Using this feature of the Oracle database does not require any new WebLogic Server functionality. It is set for each connection in the pool automatically by simply specifying SQL ALTER SESSION SET EDITION = edition_name in the Init SQL parameter in the data source configuration. This can be configured either via the console or via WLST (setInitSQL on the JDBCConnectionPoolParams). This SQL statement is executed for each newly created physical database connection.Note that we are assuming that a data source references only one edition of the database. To make use of this feature, you would have an earlier version of the application with a data source that references the earlier EDITION and a later version of the application with a data source that references the later EDITION.   Once you start talking about multiple versions of a WLS application, you should be using the WLS "side-by-side" or "versioned" deployment feature.  See Developing Applications for Production Redeployment for more information.  By combining Oracle database EBR and WLS versioned deployment, the application can be failed over with no downtime, making the combination of features more powerful than either independently. There is a catch - you need to be running with a versioned database and a versioned application initially so then you can switch versions.  The recommended way to version a WLS application is to simply add the "Weblogic-Application-Version" property in the MANIFEST.MF file(you can also specify it at deployment time). The recommended way to configure the data source is to use a packaged data source descriptor that's stored in the ear or war so that everything is self-contained.  There are some restrictions.  You can't use a packaged data source with Logging Last Resource (LLR) - you need to use a system resource.  You can't use an application-scoped packaged data source with EmulateTwoPhaseCommit for the global-transactions-protocol with a versioned application - use a global scope.  See Configuring JDBC Application Modules for Deployment for more details. There's one known problem - it doesn't work correctly with an XA data source (patch available with bug 14075837).

  • C macro issue: redefinition of functions / structure

    - by Andrei Ciobanu
    Given the following code (it's a macro that generates code for a list data structure, based on the contained type). list.h #ifndef _LIST_H #define _LIST_H #ifdef __cplusplus extern "C" { #endif #define LIST_TEMPLATE_INIT(type) \ typedef struct __list_s_##type { \ struct __list_s_##type *next; \ type value; \ } __list_##type; \ \ __list_##type * __list_##type##_malloc(type value){ \ __list_##type * list = NULL; \ list = malloc(sizeof(*list)); \ list->value = value; \ return list; \ }\ \ void __list_##type##_free(__list_##type *list){\ __list_##type * back = list;\ while(list=list->next){\ free(back);\ back = list;\ }\ } #define LIST_TYPE(type) __list_##type #define LIST_MALLOC(type,value) __list_##type##_malloc(value) #define LIST_FREE(type,list) __list_##type##_free(list) #define LIST_DATA(list) (list->value) #ifdef __cplusplus } #endif #endif /* _LIST_H */ And here is how the above code works: #include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> #include "list.h" /* * */ LIST_TEMPLATE_INIT(int) int main(int argc, char** argv) { LIST_TYPE(int)* list = NULL; list = LIST_MALLOC(int, 5); printf("%d",LIST_DATA(list)); LIST_FREE(int,list); return (0); } My question, is it possible to somehow be able to call : LIST_TEMPLATE_INIT(int), as many times as I want, in a decentralized fashion ? The current issue with this right now is that calling LIST_TEMPLATE_INIT(int) in another file raise compilation errors (because of function redefinition): Example of error: error: redefinition of ‘struct __list_s_int’

  • redefinition c++

    - by coubeatczech
    hi, how does header including in c++ work? I have the classes already implemented in .h file and when there is #include in two files, there's this error: files.h:14:7: error: redefinition of ‘class abstract_file’ files.h:14:20: error: previous definition of ‘class abstract_file’ multiple times for each class and enum. Can anyone explain this?

  • ios - compile error: redefinition of label openURL

    - by GeekedOut
    I have a method like this: - (BOOL)webView:(UIWebView *)aWebView shouldStartLoadWithRequest:(NSURLRequest *)request navigationType:(UIWebViewNavigationType)navigationType { if ([request.URL.scheme isEqualToString:@"aaa"]) { openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"www.firstwebsite.com"]; } if ([request.URL.scheme isEqualToString:@"abc"]) { openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://www.someurl.com"]; } if ([request.URL.scheme isEqualToString:@"xyz"]) { openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://www.anothersite.com"]; } return YES; } and on the second and third uses of openURL I get a compile error: redefinition of label openURL Any idea why that happens and how to resolve it? Thanks!

    Hi-- I'm working my way through the book Head First iPhone Development (O'Reilly). Am having trouble on page 68 with the following method and function; I get the error "redefinition of ViewController pickerView:titleForRow:forComponent error. Have checked the code for spaces; seems to be OK. Can you check the code and tell me what's wrong? Thank you. -(NSString *)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView titleForRow:(NSInteger)row forComponent: (NSInteger)component{ switch (component) { case 0: return [activities objectAtIndex:row]; case 1: return [feelings objectAtIndex:row]; } return nil; }

  • Fixing Combinatorica redefinition of Element

    - by Yaroslav Bulatov
    My code relies on version of Element which works like MemberQ, but when I load Combinatorica, Element gets redefined to work like Part. What is the easiest way to fix this conflict? Specifically, what is the syntax to remove Combinatorica's definition from DownValues? Here's what I get for DownValues[Element] {HoldPattern[ Combinatorica`Private`a_List \[Element] \ {Combinatorica`Private`index___}] :> Combinatorica`Private`a[[Combinatorica`Private`index]], HoldPattern[Private`x_ \[Element] Private`list_List] :> MemberQ[Private`list, Private`x]}

  • Trivial Q about redefinition.

    - by Knowing me knowing you
    Why this isn't allowed: int a = 0; int a = 0; but this is: for (int i = 0; i < 2; ++i) { int a = 0; } As far as I know code inside for loop will be executed twice whitout actually going out of its scope, so it should also be an error to define a twice. Looking forward to your answers Thanks.

  • Errors with redefinitions after upgrade to XCode 3.2.3

    - by CA Bearsfan
    I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and Xcode 3.2.5 so I could test on my iPod Touch and iPhone and ran into some problems with the project I was working on. First it couldn't find a Base SDK, then my old frameworks weren't hooking up correctly. Finally after setting the Project Format to Xcode 3.1 compatible (3.2 also worked) and the Base SDK for all configurations to iOS 4.2, then setting my iOS deployment target to iOS 3.0 I was able to get the system to find a Base SDK and attempt a build. That's when the frameworks didn't want to cooperate. 4/6 I'm using displayed in red, so I re routed the path to the iPhone simulator 4.2 platform which worked perfectly. I was able to build my project, no errors or warnings and my app worked fine. I went to work last night thinking I had fixed the problem. This morning I fired up the laptop and went to build my code base and now have 1142 errors all of which have to do with code I haven't written deemed as being redefined. Suggestions? The following is just a small sample of the error list (obviously don't need to see all 1142) //Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Headers/NSZone.h:48: error: redefinition of 'NSMakeCollectable' /Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Headers/NSObject.h:65: error: duplicate interface declaration for class 'NSObject' /Frameworks/Foundation.framework/Headers/NSObject.h:67: error: redefinition of 'struct NSObject'

  • Handling macro redefinition without modifying .h files ... C / C++ language

    - by user310119
    Background: Let assume that I have two header files a.h and b.h. a.h contains: #define VAR 1 b.h contains: #define VAR 2 Note: The name of both of the macro is same. Let say I have some file myFile.c which includes both of the header files i.e. a.h and b.h. When I try to access VAR, I get a redefinition error of VAR. In order to resolve this problem, I inserted #ifndef VAR statement in both a.h and b.h files to prevent this error. a.h file becomes #ifndef VAR #define VAR 1 #endif b.h file becomes #ifndef VAR #define VAR 2 #endif Note: The header file can contain multiple macros, not just one macro. Problem: Let's assume that a.h and b.h files are obtained from third party library. These files don't contain #ifndef VAR statement. I am not allowed to change their header files. Can I resolve macro 'VAR' redefinition error in myFile.c or myFile.cpp file which uses VAR macro? I know I #undef VAR can be used to undefine a macro VAR. How can I selectively include VAR later in my program? i.e. on line 10 of myFile.c code I should be able to refer to VAR definition from a.h file, on line 15 of my code I should be able to refer to VAR from b.h file and on line 18 again I should be able to refer to VAR from a.h file. In short, am I able to do macro polymorphism ? Given a name of header file, it should refer to macro definition present in that file. I thought of using namespace trick to resolve an issue. Define first header file in namespace first and second header file in namespace second. I tried defining two namespaces. First namespace contains #include a.h and second namespace contains b.h. However, namespace trick does not work with macro. When I tried to access firstns::VAR, compiler reports an error message. Can you please suggest some way?

  • C errors - Cannot combine with previous 'struct' declaration specifier && Redefinition of 'MyMIDINotifyProc' as different kind of symbol

    - by user1905634
    I'm still new to C but trying to understand it better by working my way through a small MIDI audio unit (in Xcode 4.3.3). I've been searching for an answer to this all day and still don't even understand exactly what the problem is. Here's the code in question: //MyMIDINotifyProc.h #ifndef MIDIInstrumentUnit_CallbackProcs_h #define MIDIInstrumentUnit_CallbackProcs_h void MyMIDINotifyProc (const MIDINotification *message, void *refCon); #endif //MyMIDINotifyProc.c #include <CoreMIDI/CoreMIDI.h> #include "MyMIDINotifyProc.h" void MyMIDINotifyProc (const MIDINotification *message, void *refCon) { //manage notification } In the header definition I get this: ! Cannot combine with previous 'struct' declaration specifier I've made sure the definitions match and tried renaming them and I still get this in my .c file: ! Redefinition of 'MyMIDINotifyProc' as different kind of symbol Which points to the .h definition as the 'Previous definition'. I know that MIDIServices.h in the CoreMIDI framework defines: typedef void (*MIDINotifyProc)(const MIDINotification *message, void *refCon); But I don't understand if/why that would cause an error. I would be grateful if anyone could offer some help.

  • No "redefinition of default parameter error" for class template member function?

    - by STingRaySC
    Why does the following give no compilation error?: // T.h template<class T> class X { public: void foo(int a = 42); }; // Main.cpp #include "T.h" #include <iostream> template<class T> void X<T>::foo(int a = 13) { std::cout << a << std::endl; } int main() { X<int> x; x.foo(); // prints 42 } It seems as though the 13 is just silently ignored by the compiler. Why is this? The cooky thing is that if the template declaration is in Main.cpp instead of a header file, I do indeed get the default parameter redefinition error. Now I know the compiler will complain about this if it were just an ordinary (non-template) function. What does the standard have to say about default parameters in class template member functions or function templates?

  • Partitioned Repository for WebCenter Content using Oracle Database 11g

    - by Adao Junior
    One of the biggest challenges for content management solutions is related to the storage management due the high volumes of the unstoppable growing of information. Even if you have storage appliances and a lot of terabytes, thinks like backup, compression, deduplication, storage relocation, encryption, availability could be a nightmare. One standard option that you have with the Oracle WebCenter Content is to store data to the database. And the Oracle Database allows you leverage features like compression, deduplication, encryption and seamless backup. But with a huge volume, the challenge is passed to the DBA to keep the WebCenter Content Database up and running. One solution is the use of DB partitions for your content repository, but what are the implications of this? Can I fit this with my business requirements? Well, yes. It’s up to you how you will manage that, you just need a good plan. During you “storage brainstorm plan” take in your mind what you need, such as storage petabytes of documents? You need everything on-line? There’s a way to logically separate the “good content” from the “legacy content”? The first thing that comes to my mind is to use the creation date of the document, but you need to remember that this document could receive a lot of revisions and maybe you can consider the revision creation date. Your plan can have also complex rules like per Document Type or per a custom metadata like department or an hybrid per date, per DocType and an specific virtual folder. Extrapolation the use, you can have your repository distributed in different servers, different disks, different disk types (Such as ssds, sas, sata, tape,…), separated accordingly your business requirements, separating the “hot” content from the legacy and easily matching your compliance requirements. If you think to use by revision, the simple way is to consider the dId, that is the sequential unique id for every content created using the WebCenter Content or the dLastModified that is the date field of the FileStorage table that contains the date of inclusion of the content to the DB Table using SecureFiles. Using the scenario of partitioned repository using an hierarchical separation by date, we will transform the FileStorage table in an partitioned table using  “Partition by Range” of the dLastModified column (You can use the dId or a join with other tables for other metadata such as dDocType, Security, etc…). The test scenario bellow covers: Previous existent data on the JDBC Storage to be migrated to the new partitioned JDBC Storage Partition by Date Automatically generation of new partitions based on a pre-defined interval (Available only with Oracle Database 11g+) Deduplication and Compression for legacy data Oracle WebCenter Content 11g PS5 (Could present some customizations that do not affect the test scenario) For the test case you need some data stored using JDBC Storage to be the “legacy” data. If you do not have done before, just create an Storage rule pointed to the JDBC Storage: Enable the metadata StorageRule in the UI and upload some documents using this rule. For this test case you can run using the schema owner or an dba user. We will use the schema owner TESTS_OCS. I can’t forgot to tell that this is just a test and you should do a proper backup of your environment. When you use the schema owner, you need some privileges, using the dba user grant the privileges needed: REM Grant privileges required for online redefinition. GRANT EXECUTE ON DBMS_REDEFINITION TO TESTS_OCS; GRANT ALTER ANY TABLE TO TESTS_OCS; GRANT DROP ANY TABLE TO TESTS_OCS; GRANT LOCK ANY TABLE TO TESTS_OCS; GRANT CREATE ANY TABLE TO TESTS_OCS; GRANT SELECT ANY TABLE TO TESTS_OCS; REM Privileges required to perform cloning of dependent objects. GRANT CREATE ANY TRIGGER TO TESTS_OCS; GRANT CREATE ANY INDEX TO TESTS_OCS; In our test scenario we will separate the content as Legacy, Day1, Day2, Day3 and Future. This last one will partitioned automatically using 3 tablespaces in a round robin mode. In a real scenario the partition rule could be per month, per year or any rule that you choose. Table spaces for the test scenario: CREATE TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_LEGACY DATAFILE 'tests_ocs_part_legacy.dat' SIZE 500K AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 500K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED; CREATE TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY1 DATAFILE 'tests_ocs_part_day1.dat' SIZE 500K AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 500K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED; CREATE TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY2 DATAFILE 'tests_ocs_part_day2.dat' SIZE 500K AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 500K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED; CREATE TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY3 DATAFILE 'tests_ocs_part_day3.dat' SIZE 500K AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 500K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED; CREATE TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_ROUND_ROBIN_A 'tests_ocs_part_round_robin_a.dat' DATAFILE SIZE 500K AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 500K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED; CREATE TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_ROUND_ROBIN_B 'tests_ocs_part_round_robin_b.dat' DATAFILE SIZE 500K AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 500K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED; CREATE TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_ROUND_ROBIN_C 'tests_ocs_part_round_robin_c.dat' DATAFILE SIZE 500K AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 500K MAXSIZE UNLIMITED; Before start, gather optimizer statistics on the actual FileStorage table: EXEC DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS(USER, 'FileStorage', cascade => TRUE); Now check if is possible execute the redefinition process: EXEC DBMS_REDEFINITION.CAN_REDEF_TABLE('TESTS_OCS', 'FileStorage',DBMS_REDEFINITION.CONS_USE_PK); If no errors messages, you are good to go. Create a Partitioned Interim FileStorage table. You need to create a new table with the partition information to act as an interim table: CREATE TABLE FILESTORAGE_Part ( DID NUMBER(*,0) NOT NULL ENABLE, DRENDITIONID VARCHAR2(30 CHAR) NOT NULL ENABLE, DLASTMODIFIED TIMESTAMP (6), DFILESIZE NUMBER(*,0), DISDELETED VARCHAR2(1 CHAR), BFILEDATA BLOB ) LOB (BFILEDATA) STORE AS SECUREFILE ( ENABLE STORAGE IN ROW NOCACHE LOGGING KEEP_DUPLICATES NOCOMPRESS ) PARTITION BY RANGE (DLASTMODIFIED) INTERVAL (NUMTODSINTERVAL(1,'DAY')) STORE IN (TESTS_OCS_PART_ROUND_ROBIN_A, TESTS_OCS_PART_ROUND_ROBIN_B, TESTS_OCS_PART_ROUND_ROBIN_C) ( PARTITION FILESTORAGE_PART_LEGACY VALUES LESS THAN (TO_DATE('05-APR-2012 12.00.00 AM', 'DD-MON-YYYY HH.MI.SS AM')) TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_LEGACY LOB (BFILEDATA) STORE AS SECUREFILE ( TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_LEGACY RETENTION NONE DEDUPLICATE COMPRESS HIGH ), PARTITION FILESTORAGE_PART_DAY1 VALUES LESS THAN (TO_DATE('06-APR-2012 07.25.00 PM', 'DD-MON-YYYY HH.MI.SS AM')) TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY1 LOB (BFILEDATA) STORE AS SECUREFILE ( TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY1 RETENTION AUTO KEEP_DUPLICATES COMPRESS ), PARTITION FILESTORAGE_PART_DAY2 VALUES LESS THAN (TO_DATE('06-APR-2012 07.55.00 PM', 'DD-MON-YYYY HH.MI.SS AM')) TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY2 LOB (BFILEDATA) STORE AS SECUREFILE ( TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY2 RETENTION AUTO KEEP_DUPLICATES NOCOMPRESS ), PARTITION FILESTORAGE_PART_DAY3 VALUES LESS THAN (TO_DATE('06-APR-2012 07.58.00 PM', 'DD-MON-YYYY HH.MI.SS AM')) TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY3 LOB (BFILEDATA) STORE AS SECUREFILE ( TABLESPACE TESTS_OCS_PART_DAY3 RETENTION AUTO KEEP_DUPLICATES NOCOMPRESS ) ); After the creation you should see your partitions defined. Note that only the fixed range partitions have been created, none of the interval partition have been created. Start the redefinition process: BEGIN DBMS_REDEFINITION.START_REDEF_TABLE( uname => 'TESTS_OCS' ,orig_table => 'FileStorage' ,int_table => 'FileStorage_PART' ,col_mapping => NULL ,options_flag => DBMS_REDEFINITION.CONS_USE_PK ); END; This operation can take some time to complete, depending how many contents that you have and on the size of the table. Using the DBA user you can check the progress with this command: SELECT * FROM v$sesstat WHERE sid = 1; Copy dependent objects: DECLARE redefinition_errors PLS_INTEGER := 0; BEGIN DBMS_REDEFINITION.COPY_TABLE_DEPENDENTS( uname => 'TESTS_OCS' ,orig_table => 'FileStorage' ,int_table => 'FileStorage_PART' ,copy_indexes => DBMS_REDEFINITION.CONS_ORIG_PARAMS ,copy_triggers => TRUE ,copy_constraints => TRUE ,copy_privileges => TRUE ,ignore_errors => TRUE ,num_errors => redefinition_errors ,copy_statistics => FALSE ,copy_mvlog => FALSE ); IF (redefinition_errors > 0) THEN DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('>>> FileStorage to FileStorage_PART temp copy Errors: ' || TO_CHAR(redefinition_errors)); END IF; END; With the DBA user, verify that there's no errors: SELECT object_name, base_table_name, ddl_txt FROM DBA_REDEFINITION_ERRORS; *Note that will show 2 lines related to the constrains, this is expected. Synchronize the interim table FileStorage_PART: BEGIN DBMS_REDEFINITION.SYNC_INTERIM_TABLE( uname => 'TESTS_OCS', orig_table => 'FileStorage', int_table => 'FileStorage_PART'); END; Gather statistics on the new table: EXEC DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS(USER, 'FileStorage_PART', cascade => TRUE); Complete the redefinition: BEGIN DBMS_REDEFINITION.FINISH_REDEF_TABLE( uname => 'TESTS_OCS', orig_table => 'FileStorage', int_table => 'FileStorage_PART'); END; During the execution the FileStorage table is locked in exclusive mode until finish the operation. After the last command the FileStorage table is partitioned. If you have contents out of the range partition, you should see the new partitions created automatically, not generating an error if you “forgot” to create all the future ranges. You will see something like: You now can drop the FileStorage_PART table: border-bottom-width: 1px; border-bottom-style: solid; text-align: left; border-left-color: silver; border-left-width: 1px; border-left-style: solid; padding-bottom: 4px; line-height: 12pt; background-color: #f4f4f4; margin-top: 20px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; padding-left: 4px; width: 97.5%; padding-right: 4px; font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; direction: ltr; max-height: 200px; font-size: 8pt; overflow-x: auto; overflow-y: auto; border-top-color: silver; border-top-width: 1px; border-top-style: solid; cursor: text; border-right-color: silver; border-right-width: 1px; border-right-style: solid; padding-top: 4px; " id="codeSnippetWrapper"> DROP TABLE FileStorage_PART PURGE; To check the FileStorage table is valid and is partitioned, use the command: SELECT num_rows,partitioned FROM user_tables WHERE table_name = 'FILESTORAGE'; You can list the contents of the FileStorage table in a specific partition, per example: SELECT * FROM FileStorage PARTITION (FILESTORAGE_PART_LEGACY) Some useful commands that you can use to check the partitions, note that you need to run using a DBA user: SELECT * FROM DBA_TAB_PARTITIONS WHERE table_name = 'FILESTORAGE';   SELECT * FROM DBA_TABLESPACES WHERE tablespace_name like 'TESTS_OCS%'; After the redefinition process complete you have a new FileStorage table storing all content that has the Storage rule pointed to the JDBC Storage and partitioned using the rule set during the creation of the temporary interim FileStorage_PART table. At this point you can test the WebCenter Content downloading the documents (Original and Renditions). Note that the content could be already in the cache area, take a look in the weblayout directory to see if a file with the same id is there, then click on the web rendition of your test file and see if have created the file and you can open, this means that is all working. The redefinition process can be repeated many times, this allow you test what the better layout, over and over again. Now some interesting maintenance actions related to the partitions: Make an tablespace read only. No issues viewing, the WebCenter Content do not alter the revisions When try to delete an content that is part of an read only tablespace, an error will occurs and the document will not be deleted The only way to prevent errors today is creating an custom component that checks the partitions and if you have an document in an “Read Only” repository, execute the deletion process of the metadata and mark the document to be deleted on the next db maintenance, like a new redefinition. Take an tablespace off-line for archiving purposes or any other reason. When you try open an document that is included in this tablespace will receive an error that was unable to retrieve the content, but the others online tablespaces are not affected. Same behavior when deleting documents. Again, an custom component is the solution. If you have an document “out of range”, the component can show an message that the repository for that document is offline. This can be extended to a option to the user to request to put online again. Moving some legacy content to an offline repository (table) using the Exchange option to move the content from one partition to a empty nonpartitioned table like FileStorage_LEGACY. Note that this option will remove the registers from the FileStorage and will not be able to open the stored content. You always need to keep in mind the indexes and constrains. An redefinition separating the original content (vault) from the renditions and separate by date ate the same time. This could be an option for DAM environments that want to have an special place for the renditions and put the original files in a storage with less performance. The process will be the same, you just need to change the script of the interim table to use composite partitioning. • Online Application Upgrade

    - by lsarecz
    Amikor HA (High Availability - Magas Rendelkezésre Állás) megoldásokról beszélünk, általában elsoként a klaszterek, redundáns megoldások jutnak eszünkbe. Ezek a crossedition triggerek. További információk az Edition-Based Redefinition címu whitepaper-ben találhatók.

  • How to upgrade Apache 2 from 2.2 to 2.4

    - by Nina
    I was in the process of doing a test upgrade from Apache 2.2 to 2.4.3. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04. I would have upgraded to 12.04 for this to see if the upgrade would go a lot smoother. Unfortunately, I was told it wasn't an option...so I'm stuck using 10.04. The process I did this was: Before attempting this, I have managed to upgrade APR from 1.3 to 1.4 as well since apache told me it was a requirement beforehand: http://apr.apache.org/download.cgi First remove all traces of the current apache: sudo apt-get --purge remove apache2 sudo apt-get remove apache2-common apache2-utils apache2.2-bin apache2-common sudo apt-get autoremove whereis apache2 sudo rm -Rf /etc/apache2 /usr/lib/apache2 /usr/include/apache2 Afterwards, I did the following: sudo apt-get install build-essential sudo apt-get build-dep apache2 Then install apache 2.4 with the following: wget http://apache.mirrors.tds.net//httpd/httpd-2.4.3.tar.gz tar -xzvf httpd-2.4.3.tar.gz && cd httpd-2.4.3 sudo ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 --with-apr=/usr/local/apr --enable-mods-shared=all --enable-deflate --enable-proxy --enable-proxy-balancer --enable-proxy-http --with-mpm=prefork sudo make sudo make install After the make install, I ended up getting a series of errors that prevented it from installing correctly: exports.c:2513: error: redefinition of 'ap_hack_apr_uid_current' exports.c:1838: note: previous definition of 'ap_hack_apr_uid_current' was here exports.c:2514: error: redefinition of 'ap_hack_apr_uid_name_get' exports.c:1839: note: previous definition of 'ap_hack_apr_uid_name_get' was here exports.c:2515: error: redefinition of 'ap_hack_apr_uid_get' exports.c:1840: note: previous definition of 'ap_hack_apr_uid_get' was here exports.c:2516: error: redefinition of 'ap_hack_apr_uid_homepath_get' Looking for exports.c only leads me back to the httpd-2.4.3 folder. So I'm not sure what these errors mean... Thanks in advance for any help you have to offer!

  • MIDL2003 Error in VC6 project

    - by graham.reeds
    While bug fixing I tracked a problem to an old vc6 compiled dll that hasn't been touched in nearly 3 years. After checking out the most recent source I am getting the following error when trying to compile. Processing C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT SDK\INCLUDE\msxml.idl msxml.idl .\ocidl.idl(1524) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IErrorLog .\ocidl.idl(1541) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IPropertyBag Google gives lots of suggestions regarding Visual Studio 2002 - 2003 errors but I can't find anything that relates to Visual Studio 6 or can be applied to my problem. I did find this page but following it's advice didn't fix my problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? (I am presuming that it did work once.) Other items of interest: I have the February 2003 Platform SDK installed, and looking at the add/remove program page I have Micrsoft XML Parser and SDK, MSXML 4.0 SP2 and MSXML 6.0 Parser too.

  • Conflicting PACKAGE_NAME and other macros when using autotools.

    - by baol
    When using autotools (with a config.h file) for both a library and a software built on that library the compiler complains about a redefinition of some macros (PACKAGE_NAME, PACKAGE_TARNAME and so on). How can I prevent this? The config.h file is needed in the library to propagate it's setting to the software that use it. Right now I have a wrapper script library_config.h that includes the original config.h and provides defaults when the user is not using autotools, but even undefining the macros in that package I get the redefinition warning from gcc. #ifndef LIB_CONFIG_H #define LIB_CONFIG_H #ifdef HAVE_CONFIG_H # include "config.h" # undef PACKAGE # undef PACKAGE_BUGREPORT # undef PACKAGE_NAME # undef PACKAGE_STRING # undef PACKAGE_TARNAME # undef PACKAGE_VERSION # undef VERSION #else # if defined (WIN32) # define HAVE_UNORDERED_MAP 1 # define TR1_MIXED_NAMESPACE 1 # elif defined (__GXX_EXPERIMENTAL_CXX0X__) # define HAVE_UNORDERED_MAP 1 # else # define HAVE_TR1_UNORDERED_MAP 1 # endif #endif #endif I believe the best option would be to have a library without that macros: How can I avoid the definition of PACKAGE, PACKAGE_NAME and so on in the library when using autotools?
