Does anyone know of a website that has a tutorial and example of each Refractoring technique used in Eclipse? I can't find one.

More ruby-like solution to this problem?

I am learning ruby and practicing it by solving problems from Project Euler. "Could not load file or assembly 'XXX.YYY' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

I have a .net visual studio solution with a number of projects (class libraries and a web application). I did some refractoring which moved files between projects, created new projects, deleted ones not being used and renamed some existing projects. The solution builds without an issue but when I run the web application, the following exception occurs: "Could not load file or assembly 'XXX.YYY' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified." The project called XXX.YYY which was deleted in the refractoring outputed a dll called XXX.YYY. But this isnt used anywhere in the application. I deleted the web applications obj directory and bin folder and rebuild but it still occurs. Anyone have any ideas when this might be occurring, any tips??

operator for enums

Hi all, Just out of curiosity, asking this Like the expression one below a = (condition) ? x : y; // two outputs why can't we have an operator for enums? say, myValue = f ??? fnApple() : fnMango() : fnOrange(); // no. of outputs specified in the enum definition instead of switch statements (eventhough refractoring is possible) enum Fruit { apple, mango, orange }; Fruit f = Fruit.apple; Or is it some kind of useless operator?

How often should we write unit tests?

Hi, I am recently introduced to the test-driven approach to development by my mentor at work, and he encourages me to write an unit-test whenenver "it makes sense." I understand some benefits of having a throughout unit-test suite for both regression testing and refractoring, but I do wonder how often and how throughout we should write unit-test. My mentor/development lead asks me to write a new unit test-case for a newly written control flow in a method that is already being tested by the exsisting test class, and I think it is an overkill. How often do you write your unit tests, and how detailed do you think your unit tests should be? Thanks!
