Restore Partioned database into multiple filegroups

does anyone have any query to restore partioned db that having multiple file groups,In the restore option in the SSME i need to edit manually all the path of the filegroups restore as option it little bit tedious as it having more than 150 filegroups eg:USE master GO -- First determine the number and names of the files in the backup. RESTORE FILELISTONLY FROM MyNwind_1 -- Restore the files for MyNwind. RESTORE DATABASE MyNwind FROM MyNwind_1 WITH NORECOVERY, MOVE 'MyNwind_data_1' TO 'D:\MyData\MyNwind_data_1.mdf', MOVE 'MyNwind_data_2' TO 'D:\MyData\MyNwind_data_2.ndf' GO -- Apply the first transaction log backup. RESTORE LOG MyNwind FROM MyNwind_log1 WITH NORECOVERY GO -- Apply the last transaction log backup. RESTORE LOG MyNwind FROM MyNwind_log2 WITH RECOVERY GO Here i need to specify multiple MOVE command for all my filegroups,this is a tedious task when having more than 100s of filegroups MOVE 'MyNwind_data_1' TO 'D:\MyData\MyNwind_data_1.mdf', MOVE 'MyNwind_data_2' TO 'D:\MyData\MyNwind_data_2.ndf' I need to move the files into the path i provided as a parameter.Please help. Exporting Excel to sql server Temporary table.

I need to take all the values in an excel file to a temporary/physical table in SQL Server 2005. I don't need the Import export method. I tried the following linked server method: SELECT * INTO db1.dbo.table1 FROM OPENROWSET('Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0', 'Driver={Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls)};DBQ=c:\renju.xls', 'SELECT * FROM [sheet1$]') But it is returing an error as: OLE DB provider "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" for linked server "(null)" returned message "Could not find installable ISAM.". I'm using Excel 2003, and I've already added the linked server for "Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0."

Binding dropdown list in a gridview edit item template

i can bind the dropdownlist in the edit item template. How to Shrink Transaction log in sql server database in replication

Hi I'm having a production database and its replicated report database. How to shrink the transaction log files in the production database as the log file size is increasing. I had tried DBCC SHRINKFILE and SHRINKDATABASE commands but it does not work for me. I can't detach and shrink and attach back as the db in replication. Please help me in this issue.

Hi. I have completed MSc in Computer science this academic year. So I am fresher... While I am doing graduation and post graduation I did many projects using PHP and MySQL. Now I got opportunity to get into SAS(Statistical Analysis System) career, and I heard that SAS having better career growth than PHP developement. For the past 4 days, I was working with SAS and I feel interested in working. My questions are, Since i am a computer science student whether i will have any problem in my career growth in SAS? I am ready to learn statistics also, is there anything else I have to do? Doing certification in SAS will make any changes? Is it a bad idea to get into SAS with only CSc backgrond? So please guide me for my career...
