    - by Amandeep Singh Dhari
i like to point out that i need some help with my home work, ok the lectuer gave us the idea of a program and we have to make it from bottom to top. got to have user to type in two set of string. pointers take in the value and then puts into a prototype i need to make a 3rd pointer that has the value of p1 and p2. like this p1 = asd, p2 = qwe and p3 = asdqwe #include "stdafx.h" #include <ctype.h> char *mystrcat(char*s1p, char*s2p); // Prototype char main(void) { char string1[80]; char string2[80]; printf("%s", "enter in your srting one "); gets_s(string1); printf("%s", "enter in your srting two "); gets_s(string2); *mystrcat(string1, string2); return 0; } char *mystrcat(char *s1p,char *s2p) { //char *string3; //char *string4; //string3 = s1p; //string4 = s2p; printf("whatever = %s%s\n", s1p, s2p); return 0; } this is the code that i made so far just need some help, thank guys in advance.

The error is ""Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information." " . What might be the problem ? • 12.04 kernel panic

    - by jesus
Hello I'm having trouble with Ubuntu 12.04. I downloaded the ISO and burned it into a CD and tried to install Ubuntu, but during the installation process, I got this message Kernel panic-not syncing Attempted to kill init! pid:1,comm:init not tainted 3.2.0-23-generic-pae#36-ubunru then it says switching to console text, and it just hangs in there and nothing happens. I burned another CD with Ubuntu 10.04, but I get a different problem: Ubuntu just gets stuck at the splash screen with the 5 dots which move from red to white, and nothing happens. I was able to boot before with 10.04 but I recently upgraded my computer graphics card and power supply. please see my system specs. Gigabyte GA-M68M-S2P (rev. 2.3) GeForce 7025 Chipset Athalon II x4 640 QuadCore Radeon HD 6870 sapphire OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular High Performance Power Supply 3 hard drives one is IDE and the other two SATA IDE DVD Drive If any one could help me, I'd be most appreciative. If it helps I tried the F6 option like acpi=off noapic nolapic nomodset but i still get kernel panic

  • SSD on USB 3.0 doesnt always mount

    - by juergen
I would like to ask you for some support for this issue. The SSD I use is apparently slightly damaged. Atm it shows this popular Corsair Series 3 problem. symptom: the disk is working for some minutes and then just suddenly stops. Two months ago it worked like a charm. This was my boot device in these days. So now I still need to copy some data out of the device which leads me to my question. Usually the SSD is working again for some minutes, when i unplug and replug its power. It gets detected by the system again and I can continue my backup. The problem on Ubuntu is, that it is not recognized again after two or three replugs. I have to reboot to bring it back. To specify this situation: when i unplug and replug my USB mouse before i reboot it is not recognized as well. So something seems to be wrong with the system also. my question: how do i fix this rebooting issue? I will post all the logs you need to analyse. The problem doesnt depend on the interface. I tried USB3.0, 2.0 and Sata already. Thank you! cheers my system: Ubuntu 11.10, Gigabyte G41MT-S2P, Intel E6750 Corsair Force Series 2 - F120, Digitus USB 3.0 Adapter, USB 3.0 interface card
