  • Storing documents in DMS

    I need your opinions and suggestions about storing documents in a DMS system. I think the DMS should save its own copies of the documents, not their original path on the disk. So, the DMS should have its own space to write on. But what about the way they're stored? Do they have their own extension different from the original one? What about the algorithm that stores them? What about the algorithm that retrieves them? What do you suggest??

  • Drawing the call stack in a recursive method

    Hey, I want to draw the call stack for any recursive method, so I've created a schema like this, recursiveMethod(){ //Break recursion condition if(){ // Add value here to the return values' list- No drawing return } else{ //Draw stack with the value which will be pushed to the stack here variable <- recursiveMethod() //Clear the drawing which represents the poped value from the stack here return variable }} Notes: This schema can draw recursive methods with n recursive call by making the recursive calls in a separate return statements. returnValues list, is a list which save all the return values, just for viewing issues. What do you think of this? any suggestions are extremely welcomed.

  • C#: Two forms, one is calling the other one

    Hey all, I have a problem like this, I have two Winforms, f1 and f2. f1 will start a loop on button click, this loop checks a condition and decide to call the other form which is f2 or not. The problem is, the loop may call f2 many times, so each time the other form f2 will be called the first form f1 should pause its execution. So, I solved it like this, I used backgroundWorker + AutoResetEvent. I placed the backgroundWorker in the first form and inside the DoWork event handler I called f2.Show() then I called WaitOne on the AutoResetEvent let it be A. In the other form "f2", on Exiting button I called Set on the same A. But, unfortunately f2 got freezed when clicking that button in f1, what should I change??

  • I need to stop execution during recursive algorithm

    Hey, I have a problem in choosing the right method to accomplish my goal. I'm working on Algorithms teaching system, I'm using C#. I need to divide my algorithm into steps, each step will contain a recursion. I have to stop execution after each step, user can then move to the next step(next recursion) using a button in my GUI. After searching, threads was the right choice, but I found several methods: (Thread.sleep/interrupt): didn't work, my GUI freezed !! (Suspend/Resume): I've read that it's a bad idea to use. (Waithandles): still reading about them. (Monitor wait/resume). I don't have much time to try and read all previous methods, please help me in choosing the best method that fits my system.Any suggestions are extremal welcomed.

Here's a photo for what I'm getting: any suggestions?

  • Call panel.invalidate outside form class in C#

    Hey, I need to call "panel.invalidate" outside my form (WINform) class also I need to change some other controls as well, I read similar question here, and tried what they said, but it didn't work and I wasn't convinced at all. The answer I read was about exposing a public method like this: public void EnableButton(bool enable) { this.myButton.Enabled = enable; } Also I made a static instance in the other file static Form1 myForm = new Form1(); Any useful suggestions??

    Hey, I have an opengl project with C++, and I need to load like 10 3ds objects in my scene with their texture on, but unfortunatly the loader I'm using now is causing memory leakage, I knew that when my scene freezed after running the project by one min, so can you suggest a 3ds loader which can be very effective in loading a big number of 3ds objects??

If they don't, do I have to put the original class with the byte stream(serialized object) in one package when sending it to another PC? Can the original class be like a DLL file?
