• HD read error while booting linux

  I have been dual booting windows 7 and ubuntu on my laptop since the past 3 years and all was working fine until I started getting logs like ata1.00: status: { DRDY ERR } ata1.00: error: { UNC } ata1.00: configured for UDMA/133 sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Unhandled sense code sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Sense key: Medium Error [Current][discreptor] I figured it was a hardware problem and ignored it as long as I could until the HD crashed on me. Then I got a brand new HD and put on windows and ubuntu afresh on it but the problem still persists. Any Help?

• System reserved

  I have a HP laptop. I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate from home basic. Now I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 8 but when I do I get a message saying not enough system partition. So I opened the disk manager and increased the size of system reserved partition and it was of no use I still got the same error. Then I unfortunately deleted the 100MB system reserved partition by right clicking it and clicking format in the disk manager! Now I am not able to boot any CD's from the startup including OS and recovery CD. Whenever I press esc it always goes to the login screen and it doesn't say anything about the boot from CD option. Now I could not even use my recovery CD. I have 3 questions: Is it necesseary to create a system reserved partition if so how to create it? How to use my recovery cd How to install win 8

• Icons in windows 8 changed automatically

  The icons of my folders in Windows 8 have changed automatically ! Now it is similar to that of the Unknown File Type icon. My C: drive icon and some icons in the Explorer-Home menu had also changed, but they became normal after a restart. But the folder icons (Medium Size) don't change. This is also seen in the "Save Dialog"-box. Please help, Thanks in advance... Here are the Images: (originals Image 1 , Image 2)

  A potential client of ours wants to use the big5 character encoding on their new website. Is it possible to use the Drupal CMS to make a site in big5? Its possible this questions does not make sense because I don't find many google results with big5 drupal as a keyword... Please help!

• Is it possible to make a shopping cart persistent in Ubercart

  I would like users to be able to have persistent shopping carts. In other words, unless they check out the shopping cart explicitly the shopping cart with the same items should be available the next time they visit the site. Obviously this would be through the use of a cookie... Is this possible in Drupal?
