Is it possible to disable the use of SSI.php in SMF forums? Or do you just have to remove the SSI.php file from the server? (the reason I ask is I want to know how many SMF forums will have it disabled.

Grails 1.2.1 Tomcat SSI configuration

Neither a Tomcat nor SSI pro, I'm trying to use a provided template that relies on them heavily for look and feel. The Tomcat page says that SSI is disabled by default. It's installation instructions talk about renaming a Catalina.jar file, which I cannot find in $GRAILS_HOME. How can I configure the bundled Tomcat instance for SSI?

nginx + ssi + remote uri access does not work

I have a setup where my nginx is in front with apache+PHP behind. My PHP application cache some page in memcache which are accessed by nginx directly except some dynamic part which are build using SSI in Nginx. The first problem I had was nginx didnt try to use memcache for ssi URI.  So I figured that if I force it to use a full URL, it would do it.  But in logs file (both nginx and apache) I can see that a slash has been added at the beginning of the url http ssi filter "/http://www.example.com/myuser" In the source code of the SSI module I see a PREFIX that seems to be added, but I can really tell if I can disable it. Anybody got this issue? Nginx version : 0.7.62 on Ubuntu Karmic 64bits Thanks a lot

php parsing xml result from ipb ssi tool

Last week my code was running fine and now (without changing anything) it is no longer able to parse the elements out of the XML. SSI not producing output, not giving error either.

in the html file:  the perl script: #!/usr/bin/perl print "Content-Type: text/html\n\n"; print "<input type=\"hidden\" name=\"aname\" value=\"avalue\">\n"; print "<img src=\"/cgi-bin/script.pl\" />"; This does not give me an 'error processing directive' error, nor does it output my HTML inplace of the tag. I'll also add that the ssi tag gets replaced with nothing.

NGINX SSI Not working

I'm having trouble getting SSI to work on NGINX. You can see the problem if you hit http://www.bakerycamp.com/test.shtml. Here is the contents of that file:  If you hit this in a browser, you see the SSI directive in the content - so apparently NGINX is not interpreting the SSI directive. My NGINX config file looks like this: server { listen 80; server_name bakerycamp.com www.bakerycamp.com; access_log /var/log/nginx/bakerycamp.access.log; index index.html; root /home/bakerycamp.com; location / { ssi on; } # Deny access to all hidden files and folders location ~ /\. { access_log off; log_not_found off; deny all; } } I did not build NGINX from sources but installed it using apt-get. I assume it has the SSI module (since that is default) but perhaps not? Should I just bite the bullet and rebuild from sources? Is there anyway to tell if the installed NGINX supports SSI and my config is just wrong?

nginx: SSI working on Apache backend, but not on gunicorn backend

I have nginx in front of an Apache server and a gunicorn server for different parts of my website. I am using the SSI module in nginx to display a snippet in every page. The websites include a snippet in this form: For static pages served by nginx everything is working fine, the same goes for the Apache-generated pages - the SSI include is evaluated and the snippet is filled. However for requests to my gunicorn backend running a Python app in Django, the SSI include does not get evaluated. SSI: Failed String Comparison with CGI Environment Variable [migrated]

I am currently working on developing a personal website. It's not my first time doing this, but this is my first major foray into implementing SSI. I've run myself into a wall, however, with an if-else directive that uses one of the CGI environment variables as part of its comparison. Even after some limited attempts at debugging, all of the output and documentation that I have means that the comparisons being made should fail outright. This is not the case, and the wrong evaluation is being made by the if-else directive. Here's the code in the file index.shtml: <head>   <style> img#ref { float: right; margin-left: 8px; border-width: 0px; } </style> </head> Here's the code in the file headlinks.shtml: <title> – </title>    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../style.css"> <link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/svg+xml" href="../favicon.svg" />  <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css"> <link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/svg+xml" href="favicon.svg" />  And here's the output for the file index.shtml: <title>Home – dragarch</title> /Applications/MAMP/htdocs <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../style.css"> <link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/svg+xml" href="../favicon.svg" /> Both style.css and favicon.svg are in the document root with index.shtml, so the if directive should fail and default to the output of the else directive. As you can see, while the document root (which is currently the MAMP htdocs folder on my own notebook) is correct according to the output of the echo directive, the comparison in the if-else directive fails to compare the strings properly. I'm using this page for my documentation: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_include.html I'm at a complete loss as to why this is the case, and need a bit of help here. EDIT: I should note that dragarch is a hostname that I configured in /etc/hosts to point to 127.0.0.1 so I could test the site without having to use localhost. Why won't SSI work in IIS?

I can't get IIS to respect my SSI directives - it just outputs the #include directive as if it were regular old html. Here's the relevant data points: My file with the include directive is called index.html This is my directive:  (it doesn't work with virtual either.) The file being requested is in the same directory as the file being #include-ed. The SSI module is installed. The SSINC-shtml handler mapping is present and enabled. I think it might be some sort of permissions issue (read/write/execute), but I don't know where those settings are in IIS 7.5.

Adding SSI support causes mod_dir "trailing slash" redirect to stop working

I have enabled SSI using the following directives in .htaccess AddHandler server-parsed .html AddOutputFilter INCLUDES html However when I add these, the trailing slash redirects stop working. For eg. http://testwp.humbug.in/test/index.html works fine but http://testwp.humbug.in/test/ doesn't work. In chrome it gives a "Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE)" error while in firefox it shows a blank page. What additional configuration do I need for both mod_dir and mod_include to work properly?

I'm building a storage server for online video streaming. I thought about adding two SSD drive for a OS. other 15*(12 SATA & 3 SSD) drives i want to build with aufs XFS and ethernet 4GB/sec network. But I'm confused a little. S5520HCR board supports 6, SATA/300, RAID: 0, 1, 10, Intel ICH10R. Does it mean i can use SATAIII HDD? I'm planing on buying SEAGATE SV35 Series (3.5, 3??, 64??, SATA III-600). also my Chassis supports up-to 16 sata and the motherboard only 6 what kind of sata controller should i use? What's better in terms of performance 1366 or 2011 socket? SSI includes not working on Debian with Apache

I'm trying to get SSI to work on Debian running Apache, however the .shtml files are not being parsed. From a PHP file with phpinfo() I can see that the following show up in the loaded modules section: mod_mime_xattr mod_mime mod_mime_magic In /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/mime.conf I have (among other things): AddType text/html .shtml AddOutputFilter INCLUDES .shtml In /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/domain.com.conf (for the virtual host in question) I have: <Directory /home/username/public_html> Options +Includes allow from all AllowOverride All </Directory> and for good measure, I added the following as well: <Directory /> Options +Includes </directory> In the user's .htaccess file, I tried adding: Options +Includes AddType text/html shtml AddHandler server-parsed shtml Nothing seems to work. How can I even debug this? I only want to use SSI, not ASP(.net) or FTP. What should I check and why isn't it working? It didn't ask me to restart Windows, is that required?

Parse the HTTP_COOKIES string from Apache for use in #if clause

I want to be able to read the cookies from Apache's HTTP_COOKIE string and then add includes based on the contents of that string. I've got this far:  <p>COOKIES: </p> which gives me a string with all the cookies in it. Now I want to be able to parse the string for something like Name=Bob. I thought I'd be able to do this:  <p>Your name is </p>  But it doesn't seem to work. What should I be doing -- or isn't this possible?

Apache htaccess results in files being downloaded instead of displayed

So I had this "beautiful" website that did exactly what I wanted it to do. Then I shut down my PC, reboot and...the pages just download now instead of being displayed. I re-installed XAMPP and launched Apache again and I was able to identify the .htaccess file as the cause of the problem. I'm using HTML Sites with SSI Elements on a Apache web server. The only other file that is different to the out-of-the-box ones is the httpd.conf, where I enabled SSI: AddType text/html .shtml AddHandler server-parsed .shtml AddHandler server-parsed .html AddHandler server-parsed .htm Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes AddOutputFilter INCLUDES .shtml Options +Includes So I hope there is somebody among you that can help me with this annoying problem as I'm quite desperate... for some reason, even without the problematic lines Chrome keeps downloading the files (even if I delete the .htaccess file), while IE and Opera display the pages. Edit: Now Opera also wants to download files (whether index.html or index are called).

Mysqli prepared insert statements always returning false

I'm writing prepared statements that are supposed to insert data into a table, on a database that's been pre-selected in the variable $GLOBALS['mysqli']. The connection has been tested, and that's not the problem I'm having. I'm only running into trouble whenever my prepared statement involves INSERT INTO. I know the tablename, and field names are correct, but $stmt is ALWAYS false.
