Every blog who have support to trackback that in their every post they have some text comment like <rdf:/rdf></rdf:rdf>  inside this tag the attribute “trackback:ping” have a url where we can send trackback. 2. you need some information about your blog to post where you want to trackback like 1.   Thinking about SEO. It is better that they are dofollow trackback or nofollow trackback? When I write a post on my blog and automatically sends trackback to my site from http://bitacoras.com. The above link is dofollow. Is it advisable to give relevance to this link I also handing dofollow link? For example any domain. on the homepage has pagerank 3. This site has a pagerank 0 internal page that I send trackbacks. It is convenient to send dofollow link to that page to increase your pagerank. Increase my pagerank if I perform this operation ?works well ? Please appreciated.any reference in writing .

  Is there a photo sharing service, such as flickr or picasa, that will collect urls of the locations where the photo has been posted on other blogs (or mentioned in tweets, etc?) This could be accomplished by posting each photo as a blog entry on a site like wordpress, which would then automatically handle pingbacks, but of course a blog doesn't perform quite like a proper photo service. Perhaps this could be done with a private photo hosting server like zenphoto by editing the php, but that seems rather involved. Does such a service already exist?

• Wordpress Trackbacks Not Being Applied

  I am using Wordpress 2.9.1. I recently noticed the trackbacks are not being sent - internal or external. I see two issues I would like to solve. 1) My site has a default, global ping hub which it should notify. This value is not being set into the 'to_ping' value in the *_post table. 2) When I manually enter a trackback in the post, I notice the 'to_ping' value is properly set. It never sends the ping though. The 'pinged' value is always empty. With older versions of WP, this seemed to work automatically.

  What is the "best" setup for robots.txt? I'm using the following permalink structure in Wordpress: /%category%/%postname%/. So I can remove this, right? Do I want to disallow indexing categories because of my permalinkstructure? An article can have several tags and be in multiple categories. This may cause duplicates in google. How should I work around this? Would you change anything else here?

• Content Being Echoed Below Footer in Category Post Template

  I have created a category template in Wordpress for all posts that are in the 'blog' category. The file name is single-blog.php. There is some conditional code in single.php that checks whether the post is in the 'blog' category and if it is it redirects it to single-blog.php. That seems to be working fine. The problem is that on all the individual 'blog' categorized posts the post title and content are echoed below the footer of the page. I do not know why they are showing up and I haven't been able to stop it or hide it. The Loop is getting closed on the template page, but I'm wondering if the Loop from single.php is somehow also being sent over. • Robots.txt never downloaded but some blocked URLs in GWT

  There is something I don't understand in Google Webmaster Tools (GWT) for my Wordpress site. In menu "Blocked URLs", it mention that my robots.txt has never been downloaded but there are some blocked URLs. It's kind of weird and not logical. Am i missing something? • Please help! Every Post link links to the most recent post Wordpress

  I got the site up on time, with one blog post up. Later I added another one and tested it. Big problem! Any link that used to take you to the old post (ie: side-bar "Recent Posts" links) now takes you to the newest one. I tested it by adding a third post, and got the same result. I have installed LAMP server via tasksel command and I have configured the /var/www directory according to a guide I've found: After the lamp server installation you will need write permissions to the /var/www directory. The thing with this is that I will be working on a plugin for wordpress and I don't want to deal with separate owners under www directory to create or modify files/folders. When I give my user the ownership of /var/www recursively as logan:www-data I can create/modify files but cannot view the http://localhost. I get a Forbidden error. I'm assuming that this is because of the Apache's configuration? Which one is healthier or easier considering this is just a local test website, configuring apache to give user logan to view website and chmod /var/www logan:logan so that I can create files etc. without any sudo commands; or is it easier to configure user groups to get www-data user to act like my logan user? (Idk how that's possible, maybe putting www-data user under logan group?) Please shed some light to this subject. All I want is to be able to create/modifiy files under my user, and yet to be able to successfully view http://localhost I appreciate the help!

  What's the best way to link formal specs to JIRA enhancement requests? I want to track changes to specifications using JIRA. Ideally, I'd like to refer to a functional ID reference in a JIRA ticket (e.g. MYAPPAPPROVAL LOGICMAIN SCREEN), so that program managers can retrospectively categorise defects. The reason for this, is so that QA scripts and documentation tickets can be searched/categorised meaningfully in the tracking system. There seems to be a million possible ways to do this, e.g. should I write a custom component to select functional IDs from a tree? should I write the specs in confluence, or another CMS with a TrackBack facility? should I include a link to the documentation URL? should I use some other 3rd party plugin application? should I use some Atlassian application that i'm unaware of? am I using the wrong tracking tool/process to measure spec growth? What's the best way, in your experience?

Webfaction doesn't allow sudo or allow me to change the directory group ownership using chown. Now it appears that something I did is causing the entire application to give me 403 errors when I try to access it. This month, I'm asking you to look back this past week, year, century, or hour...to a time when you COULDN'T figure it out.  When you were stuck on a SQL Server problem and you had to seek help. In the beginning... SQL Server has changed a lot since I started with it.  <Cranky Old Guy> Back in my day, Books Online was neither.  There were no blogs. Google was the third-place search site. There were perhaps two or three community forums where you could ask questions.  (Besides the Microsoft newsgroups...which you had to access with Usenet.  And endure the wrath of...Celko.)  Your "training" was reading a book, made from real dead trees, that you bought from your choice of brick-and-mortar bookstore. And except for your local user groups, there were no conferences, seminars, SQL Saturdays, or any online video hookups where you could interact with a person. You'd have to call Microsoft Support...on the phone...a LANDLINE phone.  And none of this "SQL Family" business!</Cranky Old Guy> Even now, with all these excellent resources available, it's still daunting for a beginner to seek help for SQL Server.  The product is roughly 1247.4523 times larger than it was 15 years ago, and it's simply impossible to know everything about it.*  So whether you are a beginner, or a seasoned pro of over a decade's experience, what do you do when you need help on SQL Server? That's so meta... In the spirit of offering help, here are some suggestions for your topic: Tell us about a person or SQL Server community who have been helpful to you.  It can be about a technical problem, or not, e.g. someone who volunteered for your local SQL Saturday.  Sing their praises!  Let the world know who they are! Do you have any tricks for using Books Online?  Do you use the locally installed product, or are you completely online with BOL/MSDN/Technet, and why?   I have a database with blog entries in it. The desired output I am trying to acheive is 3 entrys displayed using the css3 multi paragraph and then another 3(or more) formatted with the codeigniter Character_limiter. So I need 3 displays formatted one way and 3+ formatted another way on the same page. So far this is what I have, but i do not know how to format the sql to achieve what I want. • php script gets two ajax requests, only returns one?

  I'll start from the beginning. I'm building a wordpress plugin that does double duty, in that it can be inserted in to a post via a shortcode, or added as a sidebar widget. All it does is output some js to make jquery.post requests to a local php file. The local php file makes a request to a webservice for some data. (I had to do it this way instead of directly querying the web service with jquery.ajax because the url contains a license key that would be public if put in the js). Anyway, When I am viewing a page in the wordpress blog that has both the sidebar widget and the plugin output via shortcode only one of the requests work. I mean it works in that it gets a response back from the php script. Once the page is loaded they both work normally when manually told to. Webpage view - send 2 post requests to my php script - both elements should be filed in, but only one is. I'm guessing it is some sort of race condition but that doesn't make ANY sense. I'm new to all this, any ideas? EDIT: I've come up with a sub-optimal solution. I have my widget detect if the plugin is also being used on the page, and if so it waits for 3 seconds before performing the request. But I have a feeling this same thing is going to happen if multiple clients perform a page request at the same time that triggers one of the requests to my php script, because I believe the problem is in the php script, which is scary.
