  • What are the strategies to become a good open source developer?

    - by u3050
I always hear that involving with open source projects is good for career and the more (good) open source you release, the closer you will be to getting your dream job before you've even had an interview.I am expert in Java and I am trying to become fluent in Scala. I always think about getting involved in open source development in Java/Scala but the following confusions stopping me to do so. How/where do I start in open source development projects in GitHub etc? Or How to find active/busy open source development projects? How to find an area where improvement is required or enhancement required in such projects? It looks too complex in the first analysis or its pretty hard to find such opportunities. What are the common strategies to follow if I want to become hobbyist/free time open source developer?People who have experience in open source development please share your learnings/expertise from scratch. Thanks in advance.

  • Techniques to increase logic at programming

    - by u3050
I am into programming since last 3 years. But I seems to be lost in it. I am not able to get good at it even though I code everyday. suppose I solve one problem, I will wander from solution to solution and implement some other solution. I cant focus much. I get many defects for the code I write. I afraid of code I dont know why if I dont finish it on time my boss will fire me etc. I enjoy coding but not all the time. How to increase patience? I always wonder how do I become the best coder like many exceptional programmers. I know this sounds subjective but I think this will help programmer community to get good at it especially for average like me or beginner programmers.

  • how to go the middle of the singularly linked list in one iteration?

    - by u3050
Recently I have been asked one question that in a singularly linked list how do we go to the middle of the list in one iteration. A --> B --> C --> D (even nodes) for this it should return address which points to B A --> B --> C (odd nodes) for this also it should return address which points to B There is one solution of taking two pointers one moves one time and other moves two times but it does not seem working here LinkedList p1,p2; while(p2.next != null) { p1 = p1.next; p2 = p2.next.next; } System.out.print("middle of the node" + p1.data); //This does not give accurate result in odd and even Please help if anyone has did this before.
