I'm new to Ninject, and I was wondering if the scope of the kernel should be 1 per application. So should I treat the kernel as a singleton? Thanks.

How Does DotNetNuke Stack Up For SEO? E-Commerce?

I've heard that DotNetNuke takes a bit of a hit for Search Engine Optimization. I'm not criticizing the platform, by the way; I love DNN. This is just what I've heard. As I understand it, the impact is from repetitive content, table-based layouts, and lots of extra markup. I've got a friend who would like to start an e-commerce site using DNN and some modules from Snowcovered. I was just wondering whether DNN would be a good platform to choose. The idea is attractive because of the ease with which a DNN commerce system can be deployed. Search-engine friendly URLs aren't the problem - the modules do that, it's whether DNN as a whole would be a good platform for this. Thanks very much for any help or advice.

Does anyone know of any simple, concise tutorials for packaging DotNetNuke modules for DotNetNuke 4 and DotNetNuke 5? Preferably something concerning DotNetNuke 5.4, since that's what I'm running. The examples that I've seen all assume background knowledge, or they are about short-cuts to the existing process. I'm a beginner, so I need the simple basics. Thanks very much for any help.

I downloaded the DotNetNuke Visual Studio Installer, and the only project template I got was a Compiled Module. I've seen screen shots and examples where people had 'DNN Project' projects, and 'DNN Skin' projects. Did something go wrong with my installation? Where can I get a template for a DotNetNuke 5 Skin project?

Referencing a Compiled Business Layer in a DotNetNuke Module

I was wondering if it is possible to create a DNN module that references a compiled business layer, instead of using just the data provider approach that's included in the default project. How would such a project be deployed? Just copy the compiled assembly that I'm referencing into the website bin folder?
