How can I add a Google search box to my website? [migrated]

I am trying to add a Google search box to my own website. I would like it to search Google itself, not my site. There was some code I had that use to work, but no longer does: <form method="get" action="https://www.google.com/search"> <input type="text" name="g" size="31" value=""> </form> When I try making a search, it just directs to the Google homepage. Well, actually it directs here: https://www.google.com/webhp Does anyone have a different solution? What am I doing wrong?

Restricting permissions to individual documents on SharePoint

Here's what I'm trying to do: I would like to create a list of documents on a site in my company's SharePoint site. Each document should have specific user's permissions to view and edit it. For example: The list is for performance reports. John has his out there called "John_PR_09.docx". Only him and his supervisor should have permissions to view, edit, or do anything to it. And then another employee has hers out there with permissions for only her and her supervisor, and so on... I have tested this out with a document that I removed the groups and users from (since they inherit permissions from it's parent) and only gave my user account permissions to. I then asked someone else to try and open and she could, she even wrote "TEST" on the document and saved it. What am I doing wrong? I thought I stopped it from inheriting permissions from it's parent and only gave myself rights to edit it.

I can log into SQL Server Management Studio with a SQL Server Authentication login and password, but when trying to log in with Windows Authentication I get this error: "Cannot generate SSPI context. (.Net SqlClient Data Provider)" What is going on here?

My rundll32.exe file is corrupt, how do I fix it?

The other day I got a virus on my laptop (Windows XP), but Adaware found it and removed it. Not soon enough though, because it corrupted my rundll32.exe file. Now I can't run almost any application and I have tried to install a couple programs to fix my registry, but I can't even run the install file. What other options do I have besides re-installing my OS?

Would that laptop be able to handle running Windows 7? If so, is it even recommended? Any downsides? It's an old laptop so I was skeptical about doing this. How do I change Firefox's user agent via about:config?

My work has blocked Internet access with Firefox. I know how to change the value of “general.useragent.extra.firefox” through about:config, but when I try to change it to IE, I still can’t access any website. I have Firefox 3.5.6 and Internet Explorer 7 installed on my desktop. Now, would I have to use the user agent that Internet Explorer 7 is currently using on my computer or can I use any Internet Explorer user agent? The user agent that Internet Explorer 7 is using right now is: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; InfoPath.2; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.30; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; .NET CLR 3.5.21022). Do I just copy that and use it as the user agent in Firefox? How can I make this work?

Microsoft Outlook 2003: I used to have two profiles with my Outlook, but I deleted it and now only have one. It is still asking me for what profile to choose. I have tried selecting the option to set it as my default multiple times, yet it still asks me. How can I stop it from asking me?

Problem with Toshiba Mini Netbook not turning on

This is the second time this has happened with my Toshiba Mini Netbook. When I restart it, it will shut down but then not come back up. It seems like it's running but the screen is blank and the power button is lit. The first time it happened I shut it down via the power button, then turned it back on while pressing F2 and it came up properly. Now, however, it is not doing it. The screen remains blank. What could be causing this and how do I fix it? It is running Windows XP.
