• What is the regular expression for valdating a 'price' in a jtextfield

  I want to validate a jtextfield as user inputs a price of some item. I have a perfectly working code which beeps and discard if user inputs some character that doesnt match the regular expression.(for regular expression "[0-9]+" it accepts any number of digits and beeps if a letter is given as input) But the problem is I want to validate an input like "12500.00". Format should be any number of digits before decimal point and two digits after the decimal point. eg: ddd.dd I tried the following regular expression. But the i doesnt allow user to input "." character. It allows user to input any number of digits but when "." key is pressed input is not accepted. here is the regular expression I used. "[0-9]+ | [0-9]+. | [0-9]+.[0-9]{1} | [0-9]+{2}" important: user input is validated character by character as the user inputs them to the jtextfield.

• JLabel not displaying all the characters even after dynamically changing font size

  Hi all, I am trying to fit a sentence that changes often, in to a few jlabels. Widths of my 3 jlabels stay unchanged all the time. What I am doing is changing the font size so all the characters can fit with out non being out of the display range of the labels. What I do is call below code snippet when ever sentence is changed. I have removed margines from the jlabels that may cause this. This happens for random length sentences. I can solve the problem for the application by reducing label width used for the calculations(hopefully) Can anyone explain me the reason? Could be because of some defect in the fonts symmetry?

• What is the most suitable for writing a high speed server C, C++ or C# ?

  I'm goint to write a server which does lots of image processing. Server-end processsing is expected to be very tedious. Server will maily have mobile phones as its clients. I am really concerend about speed and effciency. Security is pretty important too. Server will be running on a windows platform. Can anyone tell me what should I use as the language C, C++ or C#? or at least what are the ares that I should be looking at when selecting one of them Thank you.

• How can I change jtable height at runtime

  I hava a JFrame with multiple JPanels of similar width aligned one below other. I use one of these JPanels to display a JTable which is the last JPanel of the lot. This JPanel has a JScrollpane as a child component. This is where I try to add my table dynamically. Initial height of this JScrollpane is set to 40. I designed above template using Netbeans 6.8 Now I'm trying to add the table to the JPanel. When a button is pressed below code snippet is called. The class which includes this code extends javax.swing.JFrame class. I am expecting below code would adjust table height according to the row count and display the table. It stays its default value. I have been trying many combinations of validate and repaint but nothing worked. (More in desperation) Can anyone shed some light on this Thank you
