• Change nhibernate config with nant xmlpoke

  Hi All How can I change the connection string from nhibernate.config file using nant the problem is that all examples are about changing attribute value, but nhibernate has inner text eq: <hibernate-configuration xmlns="urn:nhibernate-configuration-2.2"> <session-factory> <property name="connection.connection_string">Data Source.\server;Database=UnitTestDb;UID=user;pwd=pass;</property> <property name="dialect">NHibernate.Dialect.MsSql2008Dialect</property> <property name="connection.provider">NHibernate.Connection.DriverConnectionProvider</property> <property name="connection.driver_class">NHibernate.Driver.SqlClientDriver</property> <property name="show_sql">true</property> <property name="connection.release_mode">auto</property> <property name="adonet.batch_size">500</property> .... I need to change property connection.connection_string <xmlpoke file="${nhibernate.file}" xpath="/hibernate-configuration/session-factory/add[@key='connection.connection_string']/@value" value="${connection.string}"> </xmlpoke> this does not work in this case. • Nant xmlpoke and unique nodes

  I am trying to use an xmlpoke task to update a VS Project File (which is XML). In the Project root, there are multiple PropertyGroup nodes, I am trying to select the first one. The XML looks like this <Project> <PropertyGroup> </PropertyGroup> <PropertyGroup> </PropertyGroup> <PropertyGroup> </PropertyGroup> </Project> I am using an xpath of //Project/PropertyGroup[1] to get the first PropertyGroup, but I get the error: “Non-unique xpath given //Project/PropertyGroup[1]”.

• Project. Properties.Settings versus plain old appSettings?

  I have an assembly built that uses appSettings in the app.config...pretty straight forward. however, I'm referencing this assembly in a web service, and that web service contains the nAnt build file for this service plus being the entry point for everything. Ideally I'd like to be able to set the assembly's appConfig values from the build file, but is this possible? Or do I have to switch to using the Settings values of the assembly and do something like this in the build: <xmlpoke file="${PublishLocation}\web.config" xpath="//applicationSettings/Namespace.AssemblyClass.Properties.Settings/setting[@name='ExchangeServer']/value" value="${ServerName}" /> You get the idea. Is this possible with just a config? My ideal situation would be to keep the settings more flexible in the appConfig so that when everything is on the server, if frogs rain down, I can update the assembly's config values without rebuilding the solution. Is this even possible (the xpath is wrong, it's just an example of what I'd like to do): <xmlpoke file="${PublishLocation}\web.config" xpath="//appSettings/Namespace/AssemblyClass/add[@key = 'ExchangeServer']/@value" value="${a}" />

• MSBuild's XmlMassUpdate task in NAnt?

  I have created an MSBuild tasks for building my projects, but for various reasons I wan't to switch to NAnt. Is there some task that would be equivalent to MSBuild's XmlMassUpdate in NAnt? If possible I would like to use the same xml replacement file I used with XmlMassUpdate. (for more info about XmlMassUpdate, here's a short usage I found on stackoverflow's site: MSBuild example) I tried with xmlPeek/xmlPoke tasks but couldn't get them to iterate a tree paths in a replacement file...
