I've used mIRC (Windows) for years, and have some custom scripts, written in mIRC's own scripting language.
Is there an Ubuntu/Linux IRC Client which will allow me to use my scripts as-is?
Failing that, is there a "functions a lot like mIRC" Client available?

I am using mIRC 6.35 on a fresh install of Windows 7 64-bit. No matter what versions of the OpenSSL DLLs I use, nor where I place them, I cannot get mIRC to work with SSL; I get the "ssl not supported" error.

Freenode, like other IRC servers, has the property that one's connection will drop at the slightest hiccup. Fortunately mIRC knows to automatically reconnect when this happens.
