The question comes from when opening 'Run' in start menu (windows key+R) and enter system32 will open up an explorer and directly go to C:\WINDOWS\system32.

When double-clicking on a folder in Windows Explorer list window it opens a new window. Tools-Folder Options-Open each folder in same window is selected.
How can I find which plugin or application is messing with this behavior? And fix it.

I have OS Windows 7 RTM. Sometimes when I click on some folders or some of partitions there's an error "Windows explorer has stopped working". Can I fix this? Does the same mistake exist on the Windows 7 full version? Thanks

I'm currently using:
Process.Start("explorer.exe", "/Select, " + fullPath); //with file name.extension
That basically tells windows explorer to open the folder where the file is in, with the given file selected.
But, by the forces of evil, sometimes it works and sometimes it just opens the file…
