  • LVM / Device Mapper maps wrong device

    - by DaDaDom
    Hi, I run a LVM setup on a raid1 created by mdadm. md2 is based on sda6 (major:minor 8:6) and sdb6 (8:22). md2 is partition 9:2. The VG on top of md2 has 4 LVs, var, home, usr, tmp. First the problem: While booting it seems as if the device mapper takes the wrong partition for the mapping! Immediately after boot the information is like ~# dmsetup table systemlvm-home: 0 4194304 linear 8:22 384 systemlvm-home: 4194304 16777216 linear 8:22 69206400 systemlvm-home: 20971520 8388608 linear 8:22 119538048 systemlvm-home: 29360128 6291456 linear 8:22 243270016 systemlvm-tmp: 0 2097152 linear 8:22 41943424 systemlvm-usr: 0 10485760 linear 8:22 20971904 systemlvm-var: 0 10485760 linear 8:22 10486144 systemlvm-var: 10485760 6291456 linear 8:22 4194688 systemlvm-var: 16777216 4194304 linear 8:22 44040576 systemlvm-var: 20971520 10485760 linear 8:22 31457664 systemlvm-var: 31457280 20971520 linear 8:22 48234880 systemlvm-var: 52428800 33554432 linear 8:22 85983616 systemlvm-var: 85983232 115343360 linear 8:22 127926656 ~# cat /proc/mdstat Personalities : [raid1] md2 : active (auto-read-only) raid1 sda6[0] 151798080 blocks [2/1] [U_] md0 : active raid1 sda1[0] sdb1[1] 96256 blocks [2/2] [UU] md1 : active raid1 sda2[0] sdb2[1] 2931776 blocks [2/2] [UU] I have to manually "lvchange -an" all LVs, add /dev/sdb6 back to the raid and reactivate the LVs, then all is fine. But it prevents me from automounting the partitions and obviously leads to a bunch of other problems. If everything works fine, the information is like ~$ cat /proc/mdstat Personalities : [raid1] md2 : active raid1 sdb6[1] sda6[0] 151798080 blocks [2/2] [UU] ... ~# dmsetup table systemlvm-home: 0 4194304 linear 9:2 384 systemlvm-home: 4194304 16777216 linear 9:2 69206400 systemlvm-home: 20971520 8388608 linear 9:2 119538048 systemlvm-home: 29360128 6291456 linear 9:2 243270016 systemlvm-tmp: 0 2097152 linear 9:2 41943424 systemlvm-usr: 0 10485760 linear 9:2 20971904 systemlvm-var: 0 10485760 linear 9:2 10486144 systemlvm-var: 10485760 6291456 linear 9:2 4194688 systemlvm-var: 16777216 4194304 linear 9:2 44040576 systemlvm-var: 20971520 10485760 linear 9:2 31457664 systemlvm-var: 31457280 20971520 linear 9:2 48234880 systemlvm-var: 52428800 33554432 linear 9:2 85983616 systemlvm-var: 85983232 115343360 linear 9:2 127926656 I think that LVM for some reason just "takes" /dev/sdb6 which is then missing in the raid. I tried almost all options in the lvm.conf but none seems to work. Below is some more information, like config files. Does anyone have any idea about what is going on here and how to prevent that? If you need any additional information, please let me know Thanks in advance!   • Display Img and Div inline - it's not rendered inline

    - by user359372
    In order to follow correct web standards, I've tried to layout image and div inline. In orde to achieve that - I've used display:inline property. But then I experienced the following issue: image renders from the center line, and div doesn't respect height parameter set to it. I've tried using line-height parameter, but that didn't give any useful results. I've also tried various combinations with setting margin/padding to some values or to auto, or replacing div with span, or wrapping img and div with additional divs. I've managed to achieve desired result by using position:absolute, but that doesn't help in cases where I want to use centered/relative positioning of the whole component... Any clues or ideas or troubleshooting hints? Please find the html example below: Test Page Some text that should be displayed in the center/middle of the div 123   Some text that should be displayed in the center/middle of the div

  • Apache FOP - Table top and bottom borders missing pagebreak inside table

    - by Thomas
    I am using Apache FOP to generate a PDF from a XLS FO document. I have created a test XLS FO document that contains a table with collapsed borders that with several tall rows. One of the rows starts on one page and ends on the next and this works as expected. The problem is that the bottom border of the table on the first page is missing and the top border of the table on the second pages is also missing. Below is the sample XLS FO document. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <fo:root xmlns:fo="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <!-- defines the layout master --> <fo:layout-master-set> <fo:simple-page-master master-name="first" page-height="29.7cm" page-width="21cm" margin-top="1cm" margin-bottom="2cm" margin-left="2.5cm" margin-right="2.5cm"> <fo:region-body margin-top="3cm"/> <fo:region-before extent="3cm"/> <fo:region-after extent="1.5cm"/> </fo:simple-page-master> </fo:layout-master-set> <!-- starts actual layout --> <fo:page-sequence master-reference="first"> <fo:title>Sample Doc</fo:title> <fo:flow flow-name="xsl-region-body" font-size="x-small" font="Times New Roman"> <!-- table start --> <fo:table table-layout="fixed" width="100%" border-collapse="collapse"> <fo:table-column column-width="35mm"/> <fo:table-column column-width="100mm"/> <fo:table-column column-width="20mm"/> <fo:table-body> <fo:table-row> <fo:table-cell border-width="0.5mm" border-style="solid"> <fo:block>Column 1</fo:block> </fo:table-cell> <fo:table-cell border-width="0.5mm" border-style="solid"> <fo:block>Columns 2</fo:block> </fo:table-cell> <fo:table-cell border-width="0.5mm" border-style="solid"> <fo:block>Column 3</fo:block> </fo:table-cell> </fo:table-row> <fo:table-row> <fo:table-cell border-width="0.5mm" border-style="solid"> <fo:block>Row 1</fo:block> </fo:table-cell> <fo:table-cell border-width="0.5mm" border-style="solid"> <fo:block>Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry.   • static block instance block java Order

    - by Rollerball
    Having read this question In what order are the different parts of a class initialized when a class is loaded in the JVM? and the related JLS. I would like to know in more detail why for example having class Animal (superclass) and class Dog (subclass) as following: class Animal { static{ System.out.println("This is Animal's static block speaking"): } { System.out.println("This is Animal's instance block speaking"); } class Dog{ static{ System.out.println("This is Dog's static block speaking"); } { System.out.println("This is Dog's instance block speaking"); } public static void main (String [] args) { Dog dog = new Dog(); } } Ok before instantiating a class its direct superclass needs to be initialized (therefore all the statics variables and block need to be executed). So basically the question is: Why after initializing the static variables and static blocks of the super class, control goes down to the subclass for static variables initialization rather then finishing off the initialization of also the instance member? The control goes like: superclass (Animal): static variables and static blocks subclass (Dog): static variables and static blocks superclass (Animal): instance variables and instance blocks sublcass (Dog):instance variables and instance blocks What is the reason why it is in this way rather than : superclass -> static members superclass -> instance members subclass -> static members sublcass-> instance members

  • Full Screen Video Tumblr

    - by Kodi Lane
    I have a tumblr theme seen on http://www.kodilane.com and i am trying to make my Video Posts full screen. I have tried editing the code but i can only get the pictures to stretch. I have attached the template i have so far, if you can spot the changes that need to be done to make the video posts stretch full screen like the pictures do i would really appreciate it. Thank You - Kodi <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <title>{Title} {block:PostSummary}- {PostSummary}{/block:PostSummary}</title> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="{Favicon}"> <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" href="{RSS}"> {block:Description} <meta name="description" content="{MetaDescription}" /> {/block:Description} <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; • multiple definition of inline function

    - by K71993
    Hi, I have gone through some posts related to this topic but was not able to sort out my doubt completly. This might be a very navie question. Code Description I have a header file "inline.h" and two translation unit "main.cpp" and "tran.cpp". Details of code are as below inline.h file details #ifndef __HEADER__ #include <stdio.h> extern inline int func1(void) { return 5; } static inline int func2(void) { return 6; } inline int func3(void) { return 7; } #endif main.c file details are below #define <stdio.h> #include <inline.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { printf("%d\n",func1()); printf("%d\n",func2()); printf("%d\n",func3()); return 0; } tran.cpp file details (Not that the functions are not inline here) #include <stdio.h> int func1(void) { return 500; } int func2(void) { return 600; } int func3(void) { return 700; } Question The above code does not compile in gcc compiler whereas compiles in g++ (Assuming you make changes related to gcc in code like changing the code to .c not using any C++ header files... etc). The error displayed is "duplicate definition of inline function - func3". Can you clarify why this difference is present across compile? When you run the program (g++ compiled) by creating two seperate compilation unit (main.o and tran.o and create an executable a.out), the output obtained is 500 6 700 Why does the compiler pick up the definition of the function which is not inline. Actually since #include is used to "add" the inline definiton I had expected 5,6,7 as the output. My understanding was during compilation since the inline definition is found, the function call would be "replaced" by inline function definition. Can you please tell me in detailed steps the process of compilation and linking which would lead us to 500,6,700 output. I can only understand the output 6. Thanks in advance for valuable input.

  • Spring can commit Transaction in finally block with RunTimeException in try block [migrated]

    - by Chance Lai
    The project used Spring + Hibernate Sample code: public void method(){ try{ dao.saveA(entityA); throw RuntimeException; dao.saveB(entityB); }catch(RuntimeException e){ throw e; }finally{ dao.saveC(entityC) } } Finally, just entityC will be saved in database in test. I think saveA, saveB, saveC in the same transaction,they should not be committed. In this case, I want to know why entityC is committed. How does Spring do this in the finally block?

  • Inline code from iPhone keyboard [closed]

    - by lc
    When I'm writing a post here or on any of the sister sites (especially SO), I want to use the backquote for inline code blocks. Now, as far as it looks, there doesn't seem to be a backquote (backtick) on the iPhone keyboard. Under the single quote key, I've found two curly/angled quotes, but those (’ and ‘) don't seem to do the trick... So, how do I create an inline code block from iPhone/Safari?

  • Drupal6: How to programmatically style a block?

    - by Fronker
    In Drupal6, I basically have a block (a hierarchical menu structure) that turns out like this in HTML: <div class="block block-menu_block" id="block-menu_block-1"> <div class="content"> <div class="menu-block-1 menu-name-menu-navigation parent-mlid-0 menu-level-1"> <ul class="menu"> <li class="leaf first menu-mlid-248 active active-trail"><a class="active-trail active" title="" href="/">Start</a></li> <li class="expanded menu-mlid-249 active"><a class="active" title="" href="/">Aktuell</a> <ul class="menu"> <li class="leaf first menu-mlid-259"> <a title="News und Presse" href="/news-und-presse">News and Press</a> </li>... What I would like to get is actually a lot simpler: <div id="topmenu"> <ul class="one"> <li>some main entry <ul> <li> some sub entry ... or maybe: <div id="topmenu"> <h2>some main entry</h2> <h3><a href="#">some sub entry</a></h3> <h3><a href="#">another sub entry</a></h3> <h2>another main entry</h2> So, keeping the structure, but being able to use simpler, even completely different tags, if and when needed. I think I understand from the drupal docs, that I am (maybe) looking at <div class="block block-menu_block" id="block-menu_block-1" ==> module := menu_block delta := 1 (?) regrettably, none of the suggested * block-[module]-[delta].tpl.php * block-[module].tpl.php * block-[region].tpl.php placed next to page.tpl.php has any impact (yes, I did clear the cache).

  • Content-disposition:inline header won't show images inline?

    - by hamstar
    I'm trying to show an image inline on a page. It is being served by a codeigniter controller. class Asset extends MY_Controller { function index( $folder, $file ) { $asset = "assets/$folder/$file"; if ( !file_exists( $asset ) ) { show_404(); return; } switch ( $folder ) { case 'css': header('Content-type: text/css'); break; case 'js': header('Content-type: text/javascript'); break; case 'images': $ext = substr( $file, strrpos($file, '.') ); switch ( $ext ) { case 'jpg': $ext = 'jpeg'; break; case 'svg': $ext = 'svg+xml'; break; } header('Content-Disposition: inline'); header('Content-type: image/'.$ext); } readfile( $asset ); } } When I load a image in Chrome of FF its pops up the download window. I know when the browser can't display the content inline it will force a download anyway, but these are PNG and GIF images which display in the browser fine otherwise. In IE it doesn't force a download but it displays the image in ASCII. If I comment out the entire image case it FF and Chrome both display the ASCII but not the image. I thought setting the content type would allow FF and Chrome to show the actual image, and also allow the location to be used as an src. The javascript and css shows fine of course. Anyone got any ideas how I can make the images show properly? Thanks :)

  • Stretching width correctly to 100% of an inline-block element in IE6 and IE7

    - by Simon Lieschke
    I have the following markup, where I am attempting to get the right hand side of the second table to align with the right hand side of the heading above it. This works in IE8, Firefox and Chrome, but in IE6/7 the table is incorrectly stretched to fill the width of the page. I'm using the Trip Switch hasLayout trigger to apply inline-block in IE6/7. Does anyone know how (or even if) I can get the table only to fill the natural width of the wrapper element displayed with inline-block in IE6/7? You can see the code running live at http://jsbin.com/uyuva. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html> <head> <title>Test</title> <style> .wrapper { display: inline-block; border: 1px solid green; } /* display: inline-block triggers the wrapper element to have layout for IE 6/7. The trip switch then provides the inline component of the display behaviour. See http://www.brunildo.org/test/InlineBlockLayout.html for more details. */ .wrapper { *display: inline; } table { border: 1px solid red; } </style> </head> <body> <h1>No width on table:</h1> <div class="wrapper"> <h2>The right hand side of the table doesn't stretch to the end of this heading</h2> <table><tr><td>foo</td></tr></table> </div> text <h1>Width on table:</h1> <div class="wrapper"> <h2>The right hand side of the table should stretch to the end of this heading</h2> <table style="width: 100%"><tr><td>foo</td></tr></table> </div> text </body> </html>

  • Limit foreign key choices in select in an inline form in admin

    - by mightyhal
    Edited :-) Hopefully a bit clearer now. The logic is of the model is: A Building has many Rooms A Room may be inside another Room (a closet, for instance--ForeignKey on 'self') A Room can only in inside of another Room in the same building (this is the tricky part) Here's the code I have: #spaces/models.py from django.db import models class Building(models.Model): name=models.CharField(max_length=32) def __unicode__(self): return self.name class Room(models.Model): number=models.CharField(max_length=8) building=models.ForeignKey(Building) inside_room=models.ForeignKey('self',blank=True,null=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.number and: #spaces/admin.py from ex.spaces.models import Building, Room from django.contrib import admin class RoomAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): pass class RoomInline(admin.TabularInline): model = Room extra = 2 class BuildingAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): inlines=[RoomInline] admin.site.register(Building, BuildingAdmin) admin.site.register(Room) The inline will display only rooms in the current building (which is what I want). The problem, though, is that for the inside_room drop down, it displays all of the rooms in the Rooms table (including those in other buildings). In the inline of rooms, I need to limit the inside_room choices to only rooms which are in the current building being displayed by the main form. I can't figure out a way to do it with either a limit_choices_to in the model, nor can I figure out how exactly to override the admin's inline formset properly (I feel like I should be somehow create a custom inline form, pass the building_id of the main form to the custom inline, then limit the queryset for the field's choices based on that--but I just can't wrap my head around how to do it). Maybe this is too complex for the admin site, but it seems like something that would be generally useful... Thanks again for your help!

  • distributed, fault-tolerant network block device

    - by gucki
    I'm looking for a distributed, fault-tolerant network storage system which exposes block devices (not filesystems) on the clients. A client's block device should write simultaneously to several storage nodes A client's block device should not fail as long as not all storage nodes backing it went down The master should automatically redistribute storages' data when a storage node fails or gets added/ removed A single master (which is for metadata only) is fine So ideally the architecture would be very similar to moosefs (http://www.moosefs.org/) but instead of exposing a real filesystem mounted using a fuse client it'd expose block devices on the clients. I know of iscsi and drbd but both don't seem to offer what I'm looking for. Or am I missing something?

  • ruby block and returning something from block

    - by dorelal
    I am using ruby 1.8.7. p = lambda { return 10;} def lab(block) puts 'before' puts block.call puts 'after' end lab p Above code output is before 10 after I refactored same code into this def lab(&block) puts 'before' puts block.call puts 'after' end lab { return 10; } Now I am getting LocalJumpError: unexpected return. To me both the code are doing same thing. Yes in the first case I am passing a proc and in the second case I am passing a block. But &block converts that block into proc. So proc.call should behave same. And yes I have seen this post http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2325471/using-return-in-a-ruby-block

  • CSS help positioning divs inline

    - by JaPerk14
    I need help with a recurring problem that happens a lot. I want to create a header that consists of 3 sections which are positioned inline. I display them inline using the following css code: display: inline & float: leftThe problem is that when I resize my browser window the last div is pushed down and isn't displayed inline. I know it sounds like I'm being picky, but I don't want the design to distort as the visitor change's the monitor screen. I have provided the html and css code below that I am working with below. Hopefully I have explained this well enough. Thanks in advance. HTML <div class="masthead-wrapper"> &nbsp; </div> <div class="searchbar-wrapper"> &nbsp; </div> <div class="profile-menu-wrapper"> &nbsp; </div> CSS #Header { display: block; width: 100%; height: 80px; background: #C0C0C0; } .masthead-wrapper { display: inline; float: left; width: 200px; height: 80px; background: #3b5998; } .searchbar-wrapper { display: inline; float: left; width: 560px; height: 80px; background: #FF0000; } .profile-menu-wrapper { display: inline; float: left; width: 200px; height: 80px; background: #00FF00; }

  • Show models.ManyToManyField as inline, with the same form as models.ForeignKey inline

    - by Kristian
    I have a model similar to the following (simplified): models.py class Sample(models.Model): name=models.CharField(max_length=200) class Action(models.Model): samples=models.ManyToManyField(Sample) title=models.CharField(max_length=200) description=models.TextField() Now, if Action.samples would have been a ForeignKey instead of a ManyToManyField, when I display Action as a TabularInline in Sample in the Django Admin, I would get a number of rows, each containing a nice form to edit or add another Action. However; when I display the above as an inline using the following: class ActionInline(admin.TabularInline): model=Action.samples.through I get a select box listing all available actions, and not a nifty form to create a new Action. My question is really: How do I display the ManyToMany relation as an inline with a form to input information as described? In principle it should be possible since, from the Sample's point of view, the situation is identical in both cases; Each Sample has a list of Actions regardless if the relation is a ForeignKey or a ManyToManyRelation. Also; Through the Sample admin page, I never want to choose from existing Actions, only create new or edit old ones.

  • How to Block a HTTP Website along with Its All Subdomain using IPTABLE

    - by netnovice
    I run a small HTTP web proxy site . We can not modify anything there in Proxy program. Few users mainly use Yahoo Web mail for Spamming and We need to block yahoo web mail access only ( complete yahoo website is also Ok) through our proxy . specially .mail.yahoo.com.. Like - we need to block URL like - http://uk-mg61.mail.yahoo.com http://in-mg61.mail.yahoo.com etc. etc. Note : We generaly open http://mail.yahoo.com in browser - but after loggin in it forwards it to Urls like above but all those are subdomain of mail.yahoo.com My target is if we can get all IP list for all available subdomain of mail.yahoo.com I can block it totally . We can only use IPTABLE ...I know using proxy itself we can check HTTP header and check Host field for .mail.yahoo.com. and block it. Solution : Follwoign what I did using IPtable . I collected IP CIDR block for yahoo mainly for yahoo web mail ( mail.yahoo.com ) as much as possible ( using linux host and whois command ) [ like 66.163.160.0/19 nd 98.136.0.0/14 etc ] and applied follwing command Like iptables -A OUTPUT -p tcp -d 66.163.160.0/19 -m state --state NEW -j DROP etc. Things are working fine. user can not access yahoo mail BUT the problem is I need to be updated with the avaialble CIDR YAHOO IP list ... I am ready to do it every week. I collected many from Net... You know theer are countles subdomain of mail.yahoo.com and seems every week Yahoo adding new IP... But what I observed some time user can bypass our rule and the reason obvously all the avaialble Ips are not entered in IPtable yet. What we need to do is enter all Ips of mail.yahoo.co But where do I find all subdomain for mail.yahoo.com I know we can get it from DNS but I must not be allowed to make DNS axfr query. Also doing reverse DNS will have performance issue. I want to know all subdomain of .mail.yahoo.c Can I get it from yahoo site. I have the list of all YAHOO smtp IP....but I need webmail Ip... ( http://public.yahoo.com/carloc/ymail.html ) Can you please share your Idea. Thank you
