  • WebCenter Customer Spotlight: Texas Industries, Inc.

    - by me
Author: Peter Reiser - Social Business Evangelist, Oracle WebCenter  Solution SummaryTexas Industries, Inc. (TXI) is a leading supplier of cement, aggregate, and consumer product building materials for residential, commercial, and public works projects. TXI is based in Dallas and employs around 2,000 employees. The customer had the challenge of decentralized and manual processes for entering 180,000 vendor invoices annually.  Invoice entry was a time- and resource-intensive process that entailed significant personnel requirements. TXI implemented a centralized solution leveraging Oracle WebCenter Imaging, a smart routing solution that enables users to capture invoices electronically with Oracle WebCenter Capture and Oracle WebCenter Forms Recognition to send  the invoices through to Oracle Financials for approvals and processing.  TXI significantly lowered resource needs for payable processing,  increase productivity by 80% and reduce invoice processing cycle times by 84%—from 20 to 30 days to just 3 to 5 days, on average. Company OverviewTexas Industries, Inc. (TXI) is a leading supplier of cement, aggregate, and consumer product building materials for residential, commercial, and public works projects. With operating subsidiaries in six states, TXI is the largest producer of cement in Texas and a major producer in California. TXI is a major supplier of stone, sand, gravel, and expanded shale and clay products, and one of the largest producers of bagged cement and concrete  products in the Southwest. Business ChallengesTXI had the challenge of decentralized and manual processes for entering 180,000 vendor invoices annually.  Invoice entry was a time- and resource-intensive process that entailed significant personnel requirements. Their business objectives were: Increase the efficiency of core business processes, such as invoice processing, to support the organization’s desire to maintain its role as the Southwest’s leader in delivering high-quality, low-cost products to the construction industry Meet the audit and regulatory requirements for achieving Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance Streamline entry of 180,000 invoices annually to accelerate processing, reduce errors, cut invoice storage and routing costs, and increase visibility into payables liabilities Solution DeployedTXI replaced a resource-intensive, paper-based, decentralized process for invoice entry with a centralized solution leveraging Oracle WebCenter Imaging 11g. They worked with the Oracle Partner Keste LLC to develop a smart routing solution that enables users to capture invoices electronically with Oracle WebCenter Capture and then uses Oracle WebCenter Forms Recognition and the Oracle WebCenter Imaging workflow to send the invoices through to Oracle Financials for approvals and processing. Business Results Significantly lowered resource needs for payable processing through centralization and improved efficiency  Enabled the company to process invoices faster and pay bills earlier, allowing it to take advantage of additional vendor discounts Tracked to increase productivity by 80% and reduce invoice processing cycle times by 84%—from 20 to 30 days to just 3 to 5 days, on average Achieved a 25% reduction in paper invoice storage costs now that invoices are captured digitally, and enabled a 50% reduction in shipping costs, as the company no longer has to send paper invoices between headquarters and production facilities for approvals “Entering and manually processing more than 180,000 vendor invoices annually was time and labor intensive. With Oracle Imaging and Process Management, we have automated and centralized invoice entry and processing at our corporate office, improving productivity by 80% and reducing invoice processing cycle times by 84%—a very important efficiency gain.” Terry Marshall, Vice President of Information Services, Texas Industries, Inc. • Realtek RTL8111/8168B wired network doesn't work anymore

    - by Radar4002
This sounds like it's a common problem upgrading 11.04, but I am having trouble finding a common solution, and one that will work for me. I just applied updates via the update manager and now my wired network connection is down. I know Ubuntu network settings is the issue, because I have a dual-boot with Win 7 and my network/internet is fine on Win 7. I don't know too much about networking, so what can I do to trouble shoot this issue? I can choose an older grub version, 2.6.38-8 instead of 2.6.38-11 and this does not resolve the issue. • Hide *.inc.php from website visitors

    - by Ghostrider
I have a script myscript.inc.php which handles all urls that look like /script-blah I accomplish this by using following .htaccess RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^script-(.*)$ myscript.inc.php?s=$1 [QSA,L] However users could also access it this way by typing /myscript.inc.php?s=blah I would like to prevent that. I tried <Files ~ "\.inc\.php$"> Order deny, allow Deny from all </Files> and RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} \.inc\.php RewriteRule .* - [F,L,NS] They both prevent users from viewing /myscript.inc.php?s=blah but they also cause /script-blah to return 403... Is there a way to do this correctly?

  • SAS V9.1.3 - Error when combining %INC and CALL EXECUTE

    - by Mark
Hi, I am getting a resolution error with some SAS v9.1.3 code. Here is some code I want to store in a .txt file (called problem2.txt) and bring into SAS with a %INC %macro email020; %if &email = 1 %then %do; %put THIS RESOLVED AT 1; %end; %else %if &email = 2 %then %do; %put THIS RESOVLED AT 2; %end; %put _user_; %mend email020; %email020; Then this is the main code: filename problem2 'C:\Documents and Settings\Mark\My Documents\problem2.txt'; %macro report1; %let email = 1; %inc problem2; %mend report1; %macro report2 (inc); %let email = 2; %inc problem2; %mend report2; data test; run = 'YES'; run; data _null_; set test; call execute("%report1"); call execute("%report2"); run; The log shows: NOTE: CALL EXECUTE generated line. 1 + %inc problem2; MLOGIC(EMAIL020): Beginning execution. WARNING: Apparent symbolic reference EMAIL not resolved. ERROR: A character operand was found in the %EVAL function or %IF condition where a numeric operand is required. The condition was: &email = 1 ERROR: The macro EMAIL020 will stop executing. MLOGIC(EMAIL020): Ending execution. So the question is why does CALL EXECUTE generate %inc problem2 rather than %report1, causing SAS to miss the assignment and what can I do about it?

  • Using .inc files when theming.

    - by Nick Lowman
Hi there, I noticed in the Zen theme there were various PHP files with the .inc file extension .i.e. template.conditional-styles.inc. I've read/watched quite a few theming tutorials but none of them mentioned these files for theming, only the template.php. Can anyone tell me when, if and how I should be using these files for theming. Many thanks

  • Login error in phpMyAdmin, problem setting auth_type in config.inc.php

    - by sergiom
I'm having a problem accessing phpMyAdmin. A few weeks ago I did succeed configuring it for auth_type = 'cookie', but I still receive an error stating that I should have to set blowfish_secret. That was strange because it was set. So I changed auth_type from cookie to http, but it didn't work. I changed it back to cookie, but it doesn't work anymore. this is the error. phpMyAdmin - Error Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. this is my C:\wamp\apps\phpmyadmin3.2.0.1\config.inc.php <?php /* Servers configuration */ $i = 0; /* Server: localhost [1] */ $i++; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['verbose'] = 'localhost'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['port'] = ''; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['socket'] = ''; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['connect_type'] = 'tcp'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension'] = 'mysqli'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'cookie'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = ''; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = ''; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = false; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['blowfish_secret'] = 'this is my passphrase'; /* End of servers configuration */ $cfg['DefaultLang'] = 'en-utf-8'; $cfg['ServerDefault'] = 1; $cfg['UploadDir'] = ''; $cfg['SaveDir'] = ''; ?> I changed the blowfish_secret, since I don't remember the old one, and I deleted the cookies in my browser and restartd all wamp services and the browser. After I enter username and password in the login page I get the error. I've tried searching into the log files, but I'm a newbie and I'm not sure I've searched the right ones. I'm using Wamp server 2.0 that has Apache Version : 2.2.11 PHP Version : 5.3.0 MySQL Version : 5.1.36 phpmyadmin : 3.2.0.1

  • Start and shutdown tomcat via ssh

    - by bxshi
Updated I find out that the path of jdk it using is wrong. eval: 1: /opt/Java/jdk1.6.0_25/jre/bin/java: not found the Java should be lower case java, how is that happen? When I run this script directly on server, it is just okay. I'm trying to start or shutdown tomcat via a remote client. On my server, I've got 3 different tomcat: tomcat1, tomcat2, and tomcat3. Firstly, I've tried to run tomcat_path/bin/shutdown.sh to stop it via ssh, and the command is ssh [email protected] "cd /home/jake/tomcat2/bin;exec bash ./shutdown.sh" both " and ' are tried, but do not work, the output is eval: 1: /opt/Java/jdk1.6.0_25/jre/bin/java: not found it seems that the shell script runs on my local client, because on server it has this file. Is there any way to run a shell script on remote server correctly? updated I've run ssh [email protected] "sh -x /home/jake/tomcat/bin/shutdown.sh > /home/jake/tomcat.log 2>&1" and the output in tomcat.log is : + PRG=/home/jake/tomcat/bin/shutdown.sh + [ -h /home/jake/tomcat/bin/shutdown.sh ] + dirname /home/jake/tomcat/bin/shutdown.sh + PRGDIR=/home/jake/tomcat/bin + EXECUTABLE=catalina.sh + [ ! -x /home/jake/tomcat/bin/catalina.sh ] + exec /home/jake/tomcat/bin/catalina.sh stop eval: 1: /opt/Java/jdk1.6.0_25/jre/bin/java: not found

  • Ubuntu, No wireless networks found after correctly installed madwifi

    - by Peter
Hi, I just installed madwifi on my MSI laptop with an Atheros AR5001 wifi card & Lucid. As far as I can see and according to System - Administration - Hardware drivers the install was successful and the card + driver is up and running. However, I don't see any wireless network (my windows PC can see about 5 wireless networks). I tried it with the network manager applet as well as with wicd. If I try to connect to "Hidden Wireless Network" via nm-applet, it will start to connect for a while but is unable too (although I supply it with the correct WEP settings & key) So, I'm unable to use my wireless network. What am i doing wrong? • When is a subroutine reference in @INC called?

    - by gvkv
As the title says, I'm not clear on when such a subroutine will be called. From the require page at perldoc one can write: push @INC, \&my_sub; sub my_sub { my ($coderef, $filename) = @_; # $coderef is \&my_sub ... } but where does this go exactly? The required package or the requiring script (or package)? I've tried both with some sentinel print statements but neither worked so clearly there is something I'm not getting.
