• AS2 Play Movie Clip OnMouseUp not working

  My plan is to play mc_1 on MouseDown and mc_2 on MouseUp. The trouble I am having is that when I release, mc_2 is not playing. mc_1 plays fine when MouseDown is initiated. Here's my code: stop(); slide_mc.stop(); slideback_mc.stop(); onMouseDown = function() { _root.slide_mc.play(); } onMouseUp = function() { _root.slideback_mc.play(); } I am new to AS2, I have tried looking but can't seem to find anything like this... • Pocket IE onmousedown onmousemove onmouseup ?

  Hello all, I have a control which I wrote for capturing signatures on a web page, by using onmousedown, onmousemove and onmouseup on a div to track the mouse, and capture points comprising a signature. Now we need this to work on Windows Mobile 6.5 powered devices... but it seems that the div element does not support the mouse events in Pocket IE, which would seem to be supported by this blog. But according to MSDN, the WinCE (which WinMo/PPC is based off of) version of IE does support these mouse events for some unknown list of elements. So can anyone tell me, are there any elements: img, a, span or whatever that support onmouse[down|move|up] in WinMo 6.5 Pocket IE? Thanks! If not, anyone have any other ideas for capturing a signature on a web page in Pocket IE?

• simulate to change the background color when click the link

  I have the following HTML and the java script below to simulate the background color change when the link block is clicked, but it doesn't seem to work. Any reason why? If I have only the onmousedown event handled, the background color will be changed to blue for sure. • How to move the rigidbody at the position of the mouse on release

  I'm making a "Can Knockdown" game and I need the rigidbody to move where the player released the mouse(OnMouseUp). Momentarily the Ball moves OnMouseUp because of rigidbody.AddForce(force * factor); and It moves toward the mousePosition but doesn't end up where the mousePosition is. And it makes sense that it doesn't point to my instance but how to solve the problem? I want to solve the problem properly I don't want to use something dirty. My thinking: * use a singleton pattern (mouse is only one after all) * pass somehow my instance to OnMouseDown/Up - how? Thank you for help!

• Object drag delay issue

  I have this code that drags stuff around perfectly in IE - however in firefox the onmousedown-drag of the object does not immediately drag but shows the no-entry cursor and then after onmouseup the object drags around freely. The object does stop draging on the next onmouseup. The object should only drag in the onmousdown state, while the onmousup call should cancel the drag by making j_OK=0.   To be more specific, here are the steps I need: onmousedown - set x and y of rect as mouse coordinates onmousemove - using the current x and y mouse coordinates calculate height and width of the rect, set these and append onmouseup - remove the rectangle, and call a function based off some calculations from the rect.   Hi, In an AIR application, I have one mx:TileList with several images. What I need to do is let the user drag and drop one of the images on the desktop, giving a feeling of a desktop widget. Firstly I tried to implement this using dragStart etc, but in the end I think it is easier to handle mouseDown and mouseUp on the TileList. In general the whole setup works as desired. When a mouseDown is detected on the TileList, I create a transparent mx:Window containing the corresponding image, and call the startMove() on the Window to simulate a dragging behavior. If I release the mouse, the Window stops moving as desired. My problem is that now I want some visual feedback during dragging. It works while the Window is moving, however I can't find a way to stop it when the user releases the mouse. The mouseUp is not fired from the TileList, nor from the s:WindowedApplication. I also tried to add a listener to the Window itself, but still with no luck.   Hi everyone, I have an C# form application that use an access database. This application works perfectly in debug and release. It works on all version of Windows. • IIS 7.5 Manager crashes when adding a custom error page

  I'm running a local IIS 7.5 server in Win 7 Pro, and I'm trying to add a custom error page for 403 responses. When I click OK to add a custom error page for my site, IIS Manager just vanishes. The server is still running, and I can re-start IIS Manager, but the new page has not been saved. I've also tried adding it directly to web.config, but that just gives me The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Edit: The event log implies that an invalid character in the path caused the crash, but It occured even when I copied & pasted a path from a valid entry.   I have an C# form application that use an access database. This application works perfectly in debug and release. It works on all version of Windows. But it crash on one computer with Windows 7. The message I got is: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: No value given for one or more required parameters. EDIT, after some debugging with messagebox on the computer that have the problem, here is the code that bug.The error is catched on the cmd.ExecuteReader(). • Help modify a javascript code to perform a div scroll

  Hi, The code below uses javascript to smoothly scroll content in a div. I don't need the smooth scrolling action, and only need the onclick action for the buttons. I would like to use this code so that if a scroll up/down button is pressed, the scroll would instantaneously jump up/down to a position, just like if you were to press the reset button (see demo link). If the down button is pressed, it would jump down the position of the content div (say 300px) and show the text instantaneously without showing how the scrolling text. I am not familiar with JS, so it you know a shorter way, please suggest. I can imagine that somewhere the HTML is not valid and IE8 being stricter is not playing along, but where? any advice on how to narrow in on this bug welcome ANSWER: Turned out to be that the application was not checking the navigator.agent for "MSIE 8.0" and was thus treating IE8 has a non-Internet-Explorer browser. For some very strange reason, the setter works for only ~1/3 of the assignments.
