  • Default encoding type for wsHttp binding

    - by user102533
    My understanding was that the default encoding for wsHttp binding is text. However, when I use Fiddler to see the SOAP message, a part of it looks like this: <s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:a="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing" xmlns:u="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-utility-1.0.xsd"><s:Header><a:Action s:mustUnderstand="1" u:Id="_2">http://tempuri.org/Services/MyContract/GetDataResponse</a:Action><a:RelatesTo u:Id="_3">urn:uuid:503c5525-f585-4ecd-ac09-24db78526952</a:RelatesTo><o:Security s:mustUnderstand="1" xmlns:o="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd"><u:Timestamp u:Id="uuid-8935f789-fbb7-4c69-9f67-7708373088c5-22"><u:Created>2010-03-08T19:15:50.852Z</u:Created><u:Expires>2010-03-08T19:20:50.852Z</u:Expires></u:Timestamp><c:DerivedKeyToken u:Id="uuid-8935f789-fbb7-4c69-9f67-7708373088c5-18" xmlns:c="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc"><o:SecurityTokenReference><o:Reference URI="urn:uuid:b2cbfe07-8093-4f44-8a06-f8b062291643" ValueType="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc/sct"/></o:SecurityTokenReference><c:Offset>0</c:Offset><c:Length>24</c:Length><c:Nonce>afOoDygRG7BW+q8+makVIA==</c:Nonce></c:DerivedKeyToken><c:DerivedKeyToken u:Id="uuid-8935f789-fbb7-4c69-9f67-7708373088c5-19" xmlns:c="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc"><o:SecurityTokenReference><o:Reference URI="urn:uuid:b2cbfe07-8093-4f44-8a06-f8b062291643" ValueType="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc/sct"/></o:SecurityTokenReference><c:Nonce>l4rFsdYKLJTK4tgUWrSBRw==</c:Nonce></c:DerivedKeyToken><e:ReferenceList xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#"><e:DataReference URI="#_1"/><e:DataReference URI="#_4"/></e:ReferenceList><e:EncryptedData Id="_4" Type="http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#Element" xmlns:e="http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#"><e:EncryptionMethod Algorithm="http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmlenc#aes256-cbc"/><KeyInfo xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#"><o:SecurityTokenReference><o:Reference ValueType="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/02/sc/dk" URI="#uuid-8935f789-fbb7-4c69-9f67-7708373088c5-19"/></o:SecurityTokenReference></KeyInfo><e:CipherData><e:CipherValue>dW8B7wGV9tYaxM5ADzY6UuEgB5TFzdy4BZjOtF0NEbHyNevCIAVHMoyA69U4oUjQHMJD5nHS0N4tnJqfJkYellKlpFZcwqruJ1J/TFx9uwLFFAwZ+dSfkDqgKu/1MFzVSY8eyeYKmbPbVEYOHr0lhw3+7wn5NQr3yxvCjlucTAdklIhD72YnVlSVapOW3zgysGt5hStyj+bmIz5hLGyyv6If4HzWjUiru8V3iMM/ss1I+i9sJOD013kr4zaaA937CN9+/aZ2wbDXnYj31UX49uE/vvt9Tl+c4SiydbiX7tp1eNSTx9Ms5O64gb3aUmHEAYOJ19XCrr756ssFZtaE7QOAoPQkFbx9zXy0mb9j1YoPQNG+JAcrN0yoRN1klhccmY+csfYXdq7YBB/KS+u2WnUjQ7SlNFy5qIPxuy5y0Jyedr2diPKLi0gUi+cK49BLQtG/XEShtxFaeMy7zZTrQADxww7kEkhvtmAlmyRbz3oGc+ This doesn't look like text encoding to me (Shouldn't text encoding send data in readable form)?     Hi all, This is annoying - I know how I'd do it in web... I have a wpf image and I want to bind it's source property to a method, and pass in a property from it's bound item. IE. <image source="GetMySource({binding name})" /> Where GetMySource is protected string GetMySource(string name) { return "images/"+name+".png"; }

  • MVC-style model binding in WCF?

    - by Mark
    I want to bind POSTed form values to parameters in my WCF operation in the same way that ASP.Net MVC allows me to do. So, for example if my form has "customer.Name" and "customer.Age" parameters, I want to make a standard HTML POST to a named endpoint/operation that takes a customer parameter and have it instantiated and populated like MVC can do... It looks like I can use WebInvoke and its UriTemplate property to map simple parameters - does anyone know if a more MVC-like model-binding way is possible? Thanks, Mark.

  • WPF Binding with a Border

    - by Nathan
    I have a group of borders that make up a small map. Ideally I'd like to be able to bind the border's background property to a property in a custom list and when that property changes it changes the background. The tricky thing is, I have to do this in code behind. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

  • ASP.NET MVC 1: Model Binding With Disabled Textbox

    - by modernzombie
    I have a textbox that I am defining as <%= Html.TextBox("Username", Model.Form.Username, new { @class = "textbox", @disabled = "disabled" })%> In my action [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] [ValidateAntiForgeryToken] public ActionResult EditLogin(LoginForm post) { ... return View(model); } post.Username will be blank, all other properties bind correctly, but if I change @disabled="disabled to @readonly="readonly" the username binds properly and everything works. It looks like model binding ignores values in disabled fields. Is their a way around this? I still need the field's value to bind to the model. I can use readonly but would prefer to use disabled so it is visually apparent to the user that they cannot edit the value of the field.

  • ASP.NET MVC model binding foreign key relationship

    - by Rory Fitzpatrick
    Is it possible to bind a foreign key relationship on my model to a form input? Say I have a one-to-many relationship between Car and Manufacturer. I want to have a form for updating Car that includes a select input for setting Manufacturer. I was hoping to be able to do this using the built-in model binding, but I'm starting to think I'll have to do it myself. My action method signature looks like this: public JsonResult Save(int id, [Bind(Include="Name, Description, Manufacturer")]Car car) The form posts the values Name, Description and Manufacturer, where Manufacturer is a primary key of type int. Name and Description get set properly, but not Manufacturer, which makes sense since the model binder has no idea what the PK field is. Does that mean I would have to write a custom IModelBinder that it aware of this? I'm not sure how that would work since my data access repositories are loaded through an IoC container on each Controller constructor.

  • WPF: Binding Combobox in Code Behind to Property

    - by Richard
    Hi All, This might be something very straight forward and I really think it should work as is, but it doesn't... I have the following scenario: var itemSource = new Binding { Path = new PropertyPath("ItemList"), Mode = BindingMode.OneTime }; comboBox.SetBinding(ItemsControl.ItemsSourceProperty, itemSource); ItemList is simply: public IList<string> ItemList { get { return Enum.GetNames(typeof(OptionsEnum)).ToList(); } } I would have expected this to bind the list of items to the Combobox, and when I do it in XAML it works fine, but I have to do it in code behind... Any ideas?

  • ASP.NET MVC Model Binding

    - by Noel
    If i have a Controller Action that may recieve both HTTP GET and HTTP POST from a number of different sources with each source sending different data e.g. Source1 performs a form POST with two form items Item1 and Item2 Source2 performs a GET where the data is contained in the query string (?ItemX=2&ItemY=3) Is it possible to have a controller action that will cater for all these cases and perform binding automatically e.g. public ActionResult Test(Dictionary data) { // Do work ... return View(); } Is this possible with a custom binder or some other way? Dont want to work directly with HttpContext.Request if possible

  • Binding a Viewbox to a Canvas

    - by Bjarne
    I'm trying to bind a Viewbox to Canvas that is created dynamically like so: <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <DockPanel> <Viewbox> <ContentPresenter Content="{Binding Canvas}"/> </Viewbox> </DockPanel> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> This works fine as long as the Canvas doesn't have any children, but as soon at the Canvas has children it's not shown. What am I missing here?

  • MVC2 Model Binding Enumerables?

    - by blesh
    Okay, so I'm fairly new to model binding in MVC, really, and my question is this: If I have a model with an IEnumerable property, how do I use the HtmlHelper with that so I can submit to an Action that takes that model type. Model Example: public class FooModel { public IEnumerable<SubFoo> SubFoos { get; set; } } public class SubFoo { public string Omg { get; set; } public string Wee { get; set; } } View Snip: <%foreach(var subFoo in Model.SubFoo) { %> <label><%:subfoo.Omg %></label> <%=Html.TextBox("OH_NO_I'M_LOST") %> <%} %>

  • Binding position to ActualHeight

    - by Qanik
    Hi I want to bind a lists position to its own height in XAML. So its lower left corner always will be at 0.0 of the canvas. I'm using elementBinding to get the ActualHeight and a converter to invert the property. But the height sent to the converter is 0. How do I solve this or am I going at this the wrong way? <Canvas x:Name="DisplaySurface"> <ListBox x:Name="MenuList" Visibility="Visible" Canvas.Top="{Binding ElementName=MenuList, Path=ActualHeight, Converter={StaticResource LamdaConv}, ConverterParameter='val=>-val'}"> <ListBoxItem Content="item 1" /> <ListBoxItem Content="item 2" /> <ListBoxItem Content="item 3" /> <ListBoxItem Content="item 4" /> <ListBoxItem Content="item 5" /> <ListBoxItem Content="item 6" /> </ListBox> </Canvas> -Qanik

  • Model Binding an IList of selected items only

    - by jeef3
    I have an action method setup: public ActionResult Delete(IList<Product> products) And a table of products in my view. I have got Model Binding working so that on submit I can populate the products list. But I would like to populate it with only the products that are selected via a checkbox. I think I could do it by changing the action method to this: public ActionResult Delete(IList<Product> products, IList<int> toDelete) And passing the list of check boxes to the toDelete but I would really like to avoid changing the method signature if possible. Is there a way to pass only the selected items? Or am I going to have to write a custom ModelBinder?
