• Can't get JAX-WS binding customization to work

Each element of both the GetBPK, as well as the GetBPKResponse type would be mapped to a method parameter in Java. Unfortunately both GetBPK, as well as the GetBPKResponse have an element with the name "PersonInfo", which results in a name clash. Use a JAXWS/JAXB binding customization to rename the parameter. I have tried several variants of the binding customization, and searched Google for hours, but unfortunately I cannot find a solution to my problem. I suspenct that the childElementName attribute is wrong, but I can't find an example of what would have to be set to make it work. Thanks in advance!

  Hey guys, I'm rather new to WPF, so maybe this is a simple question. I have a class that derives from Canvas, let's call it MyCanvas. And I have a class, MyClass, that has a property of type MyCanvas. In XAML, I built a TabControl, so each TabItem binds to a MyClass object. Now, in the Content of every tab I want to display MyObject.MyCanvas. • WPF Hide DataGridColumn via a binding

  For some reason I can't hide WPF Toolkit's DataGridColumn. I am trying to do the following: <dg:DataGridTemplateColumn Header="Item Description" Visibility="{Binding IsReadOnly}"> <dg:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <TextBox Text="{Binding Path=ItemDescription}" /> </DataTemplate> </dg:DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> This doesn't work, since it's looking for a IsReadOnly property on the ItemSource (not a property of the current class). If add this as a property of the ItemSource class that implements INoifyPropertyChanged, it still doesn't hide the column. Is there a way around this? I want the column to hid when a button click changes IsReadOnly property. Assume IsReadOnly returns a Visibility value and is a dependency property I am completely stuck, I would really appreciate the help! Thanks a lot!

• WPF: Binding to ObservableCollection in ControlTemplate is not updated

  I created a ControlTemplate for my custom control MyControl. MyControl derives from System.Windows.Controls.Control and defines the following property public ObservableCollection<MyControl> Children{ get; protected set; }. To display the nested child controls I am using an ItemsControl (StackPanel) which is surrounded by a GroupBox. If there are no child controls, I want to hide the GroupBox. Everything works fine on application startup: The group box and child controls are shown if the Children property initially contained at least one element. In the other case it is hidden. The problem starts when the user adds a child control to an empty collection. The GroupBox's visibility is still collapsed. The same problem occurs when the last child control is removed from the collection. The GroupBox is still visible. Another symptom is that the HideEmptyEnumerationConverter converter does not get called. Adding/removing child controls to non empty collections works as expected. Whats wrong with the following binding?   I'm dealing with a large WPF application that is outputting a large number of binding errors. A typical error looks like this: System.Windows.Data Error: 4 : Cannot find source for binding with reference 'RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType='System.Windows.Controls.ItemsControl', AncestorLevel='1''. BindingExpression:Path=HorizontalContentAlignment; DataItem=null; target element is 'MenuItem' (Name=''); target property is 'HorizontalContentAlignment' (type 'HorizontalAlignment') Problem is I don't know where in the app this is coming from. Searching the entire solution for AncestorType={x:Type ItemsControl} doesn't necessary help since I still don't know which result is the culprit. I've tried setting PresentationTraceSources.DataBindingSource.Switch.Level = SourceLevels.All; but the extra information doesn't help locate the problematic bindings. File names and line numbers is really what I need. Is there anyway to get this information?

The style came from http://mattserbinski.com/blog/look-and-feel-progressbar and the DebuggingConverter is a no-op converter that prints the value, type and parameter to the Console. I have verified that the converter for the Maximum is being called when my NumTubes property is changed. Basically, the ProgressBar won't redraw until the Value changes. So, if I have 2 tubes and 1 is failed, even if I add 20 more tubes, the bar is still half filled until the NumFailed changes, then the proportion is updated. I've tried adding spurious notifications of the NumFailed property, but that apparently doesn't work since the value didn't change. Ideas?

• Monotouch Binding to Linea Pro SDK

  I'm trying to create a binding to the Linea Pro (it's the barcode scanner they use in the Apple Stores, Lowes) SDK. I'm using David Sandor's bindings as a reference, but the SDK has been updated a few times since January of 2011. I have most everything working, except for the playSound call, which is used to, well, play a sound on the Linea Pro device. The .h file from the SDK has the call as follows: -(BOOL)playSound:(int)volume beepData:(int *)data length:(int)length error:(NSError **)error; I've tried using int[], NSArray, and an IntPtr to the int[], but nothing seems to work. The last unsuccessful iteration of my binding looks like: [Export ("playSound:beepData:length:")] void PlaySound (int volume, NSArray data, int length); Now, this doesn't work at all. Also note that I have no idea what to do with the error:(NSError **)error part, either. I am lacking some serious familiarity with C, so any help would be extremely appreciated.

• WPF ListView.CurrentChanged too fast for binding

  My case: MVVM ListView+Details(custom UserControl) List bound to MV.Items (IsSynchronizedWithCurrent=true) Details bound to MV.Items.Current MV.Items.Count == 100 about 0.2sec to read details (lazy mode) When I hold the down arrow on the list, very strange things happen: list items order change current changes in the random order CPU usage drastically increments and eventually all hangs. I've read some post that one should start the timer or run handler in the background, but I am not able to do that, since all the binding WPF does for me. Is there some way to instruct the binding in my DetailsControl, to wait a while before accepting CurrentItem? Or should I just resign from the clean solution and write custom code in my MV to handle that?

  I'm trying to figure out why this is a problem when using jQuery 1.4.2 and not 1.3.2. I have noticed this also for other types of binding (clicks) using the old form (re-binding after callback) Can you tell me if it is a way of solving this? • Data Binding Error retrival

  Hello My scenarion is this 1- i have a Form which is dynamically generated with some XML configuration information. 2- i am attaching Data Binding for a textbox in Text_Loaded event a well as Validation Rules and i am attaching Validation.AddErrorHandler for showing message boxs 3- Data Source for the binding is a DataTable. 4- I am having record navigation buttons on the form generated in step 1 (Next,Last,First,Previous) 5- If user edits data with invalid values in record no 1 validation fires and it creats a red border 6-user press Next button to navigate to record no 2 but does not update error field in record no 1 i.e. she leaves record no 1 with some error not in my data source but on the form. 7- She came back to record no 1 , here my problem begins , Record no 1 is updated with old values and does not show error which she made. i know that ValidationRules will not allow wrong input to update my data source which is fine but i need to handle point no 7 , there is no direct way to handle this situation , any help is much appriciated

  I cannot, for the life of me, get this data to bind. Here's my JavaScript: var params = { 'InvItemIDs': ["188475", "188490"]}; $.post("api/Orders/OrderFromInventory?" + $.param(params)) and the Controller action: public HttpResponseMessage OrderFromInventory(IList<int> InvItemIDs) { return new HttpResponseMessage(); } I've built the query string so that it's sending: ?InvItemIDs=188475&InvItemIDs=188490 as well as ?InvItemIDs[]=188475&InvItemIDs[]=188490 and even ?InvItemIDs[0]=188475&InvItemIDs[1]=188490 and none of them are binding. InvItemIDs is always null. What am I doing wrong? EDIT: So it turns out all this is a bug (or something) in the new Web API controller code in MVC4. As soon as I moved the exact same code over to a standard controller it started working. I'm still interested if anyone has any insight as to why the Web API would break this binding.

• Silverlight 4 Binding to ConverterParameter

  Hello everybody, I have a ValueConverter which needs to be called with a dynamic parameter, depending on a property. I can't see a way to do this ... Width="{Binding ActualWidthValue, Source={StaticResource VisibleSize}, Converter={StaticResource Fraction}}" The "Fraction" converter get's (or should get) a parameter of type System.Size, which contains a numerator and denumerator. This value (should) depend on a ItemCollection.Count. Resetting the ItemCollection should reinvoke the Converter with the new values. My first idea was to manually change the ConverterParameter in CodeBehind on the PropertyChanged event of my ItemCollection DependencyProperty. But, as I know now, Silverlight has no GetBinding() method. I heard about GetBindingExpression and tried to do. But MyGrid.GetBindingExpression(Grid.ActualHeightProperty) is always returning null, although the Binding is already established. So, what can I do to reach my target?

• Unable to get HTTPS MEX endpoint to work

  I have been trying to configure WCF to work with Azure ACS. This WCF configuration has 2 bugs: It does not publish MEX end point. It does not invoke custom behaviour extension. There is more code involved for checking token validation, but in my opinion at least MEX should get published and CreateBehavior() should get invoked in order for me to proceed further.

• Dependency Property Set Priority: CodeBehind vs. XAML

  When I initialize a control property from code, the binding to the same property defined on XAML don't work. Why? For Example, I set control properties on startup with this statements: myControl.SetValue(UIElement.VisibilityProperty, DefaultProp.Visibility); myControl.SetValue(UIElement.IsEnabledProperty, DefaultProp.IsEnabled); and on xaml I bind the property of myControl in this way: IsEnabled="{Binding Path=IsKeyControlEnabled}" now, when the property "IsKeyControlEnabled" changes to false, myControl remains enabled (because it's initialize with true value). How can I do?
